The short version is: This team was truly the best decision I made for our wedding day & my favorite vendor. I would recommend Sarah, Peter & Kyra ...
without hesitation. Sarah also personally saved my wedding day when my planner was struggling. She and her team went above and beyond to make my day perfect.
Pre-Wedding: I extensively researched photographers, searching between states and even countries. I spoke to over 15 photographers and probably researched over 30. Sarah, Peter and Kyra were absolutely incredible to work with and they delivered excellently. From the time, I hired them, I worked with Sarah. She first worked with me and coordinated a facetime to make sure our visions aligned while I was traveling in Europe - She made the time work. She helped in timeline creation, vision, and locations for photography. When I was deciding between getting-ready locations, I turned to Sarah for her opinion and I received the most thoughtful email and honest opinions back, including some work she had done in the past at each location (the plus, the minus, and artistically what worked and didn't). She communicated directly that she thought we may need a bit of extra time. There were no surprises. She was incredibly flexible with the rain plan. Sarah was also so sweet -she personally texted me wishing me a happy wedding week and wedding day just to be kind.
Wedding day: I cannot describe how helpful Sarah, Peter, and Kyra were on my wedding day. They essentially took over timeline management (not their job!!). My bridesmaids (all of them) personally reached out to me and mentioned how Sarah was their point person and tackled all questions and point the gals in the right direction when the day-of-coordinator's team went awry. The photographer's job is certainly not timeline management. Sarah somehow acted as two vendors and nailed both her job and several other jobs. They were also the most grounding, chill, and easy-going team to work with. This is not even saying anything about the stunning quality and dedication to their work. My wedding day was a torrential downpour.....Sarah and her team stood in the rain, put their equipment at risk and got the shots. They gently directed, read the room, and obtained every shot I asked for with a bulleted list. Sarah was personally my go - to and savior on my wedding day. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Post wedding: When I tell you that I feel team captured the most STUNNING photos I have ever seen, I am not exaggerating. Not only me, but my mother, my mother-in-law, my bridesmaids and my husband all felt beautiful/handsome. Timing wise, Sarah, Peter and Kyra delivered two sets of teasers within <1 month of the wedding. Their work is extremely high quality. I hired a LOT of vendors, and CityLux Studios is in the top 1% of vendor's I've worked with.
When you're planning a wedding, there are so so many decisions that need to be made. Often, this can cause you to feel decision paralysis and question if you are making the "right" vendor decision. I certainly struggled with this, but I am here to tell you that hiring CityLux Studios was the best vendor decision I made for our wedding, and I'd hire her again without any hesitation.

e big day (they were actually the first photographers we talked with and felt so good that we booked them without talking to anyone else and I have no regrets at all!). They were extremely responsive, communicative, helpful, and patient throughout the entire planning process, even from before we had signed the contract. We worked with Sarah and Glory for our wedding who were both phenomenal; they were wonderful, so easy to work with, efficient and helpful, and made us feel so comfortable all day. We got our teasers back almost immediately and got the rest of the gallery back quickly too (less than 2 months) and our photos are INCREDIBLE. We also ended up adding on videography with Kyra and the final product is so beautiful. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

On our wedding day, Sarah and Glory were fabulous! They captured every moment and were so easy to work with. I didn't believe them at first when they said they could complete family and wedding portraits in 20 minutes and boy, was I wrong! They were so efficient leaving plenty of time for photos of me and my Groom while our family and wedding party got to enjoy most of cocktail hour!
When we sat down at the Sweetheart table at the reception, Sarah had a few polaroid photos she had taken while we were getting ready and the ceremony, such a special touch!

a consultation. We chatted with Peter and Sarah for about an hour and connected so well - we booked right away! Sarah is incredibly responsive, sweet, professional, and has a great eye. We had so much fun at our engagement shoot where we met both Sarah and Peter. They made us feel so comfortable behind the camera. I think we laughed for the full two hours and the pictures turned out AMAZING. We love the "cinematic" editing. Leading up to our wedding day Sarah made sure we were prepped and ready with instructions and a general timeline that fit in with our schedule. We shared a photo list to make sure we captured everyone and everything - no small feat with our large families and guest list. The day of was again perfect - Sarah and Glory were so fun and accommodating. They felt like good friends behind the camera and blended so well with the bridal party and our guests. We even asked for an additional hour to get more dancing shots and Sarah stayed without hesitation. The wedding teasers came so fast, with the full album not long after. Hundreds of beautiful photos. We probably interviewed 5-7 photography teams and when I tell you there wasn't even a question about who we were going to pick, I mean it. Sarah and Peter could not have been a more obvious choice, and we cancelled our other calls as soon as we talked to them.
In addition to just being the best people (like honestly, you'll wish your wedding will never end just so you get to hang out with them more), they are the literal best photographers ever. Our engagement photos were fantastic, but the teasers we've gotten back from our wedding? Next. Level.
Also, can we talk about their turnaround times? You're never left waiting weeks or months for teasers, they sent our teaser reel to us after like 3 days (but don't expect it because they're busy guys! Just know it COULD happen and then it's just a lovely surprise).
Could literally ramble on about how amazing these two are forever, but I know you have weddings to plan, so save yourself time and just book these two gems like 20 minutes ago. Now seriously, go give them a call so you have the best wedding memories ever.

every single stage of the wedding planning process! Hiring a photographer for our wedding was the most important detail in our planning - we wanted something to capture our day so that we can accurately remember it forever and we didn't take that decisions lightly. After taking such breathtaking photos of our engagement and making us feel so comfortable in the process, we literally planned our entire wedding (even selecting the date) around the dates CityLux Studios was available in 2021!
From their professionalism and extreme attention to detail, consistent responsiveness to email/questions - they happily met with us/worked with us months before our wedding day to make sure we had everything we needed for the day of. They made us feel like friends/family, which made the entire process enjoyable and gave us so much confidence when it came to the day of the wedding. My husband and I are awkward in front of the camera, but Sarah and Peter made us feel incredibly relaxed, at ease, and insanely comfortable - which resulted in ridiculously candid, real, and authentic pictures that truly captured our entire wedding weekend in a way we couldn't have even imagine. From Sarah literally laying in the grass/mud to get "THE shot" and Peter wrangling our lively bridal party- they took every opportunity they could to bounce ideas off each other and capture insane details which made every shot unique and more impressive than the last. They were never afraid to suggest new ideas and try different locations even when logistical issues and weather tried to complicate our wedding day! I lost count how many people have complimented us - both on-site at the wedding and after the final images were shared - saying how amazing our photographers were and "where did we find them?!"

They were so helpful during the planning process (especially with the added stress of COVID) and shot our engagement photos, our micro COVID wedding and finally our reception a few weeks ago. The photos from our engagement and micro wedding with more than we could have asked for and though we are waiting on this years reception photos (our event was 10/1) they posted close to 50 "sneak peek" photos in less than 24 hours!!! I know my husband and I will DEFINITELY continue to use them in the future as we hopefully continue to expand our family and want to capture special moments!

As for the wedding photos, I couldn't have been more thankful or appreciative of their work. They vocalized anything and everything they needed us to do, they gave great direction, and they were constantly checking in on us to make sure we were ok with everything throughout the entire day.
I do not enjoy taking photos for the most part, however with them I felt so calm and loose. We got a great mix of professional photos and goofy photos as well.

As soon as I had the consultation phone call, I knew I was in good hands. They worked with me to find the perfect area that was scenic and intimate - and they stayed in contact with me in the month leading up to the date, emailing and texting me to make everything perfect.
Probably the biggest advantage of hiring CityLux is that you get both of them and their skill sets. Peter was able to capture wider, scenic photos of our moment with the cityscape and sunset behind us, while Sarah focused in on the two of us and truly captured the emotion between us.
I was SHOCKED when within two hours of our shoot, they had already sent us a handful of pictures fully edited so that we could share the moment with our family and friends.
They even gave me the recommendation for where we went to dinner afterwards which couldn't have been a better cap to our night. They played a huge hand in making the entire process idyllic.

We could not believe it, with just two days until our big day, CityLux Studios stepped up to the plate, and saved our wedding day!! After learning of our dilemma, Sarah and Peter were on a call with us less than thirty minutes later panning out all of the intricate details of our wedding day.
Although we were initially disappointed about losing our first choice photographer, my husband and I believe it was truly a blessing in disguise. Right from the start, they were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and took the time to ask great questions, and learn our preferences – just two days before the event. We totally lucked out, as were provided two photographers to capture our wedding day, instead of one (what we had originally chosen).
To date, my mother and I still rave about what a saint Sarah is . She truly went above and beyond the duties of a photographer, helping to keep the bridal party in order and on schedule, so that the events of the day ran smoothly, as I did not have a maid of honor, or wedding planner to assist.
After the big day, Sarah came to the rescue yet again, when I mentioned that I was extremely pleased with how great the teaser photos came out, especially given that I was not happy with the way my hair turned out on my wedding day. Sarah offered the option of a reshoot of just my husband and I in the park. We were thrilled with her proposed solution! We actually got dressed up again, I selected an amazing hair and makeup stylist, and we could not have been happier with the end result. In fact, some of my favorite photos were captured during the reshoot.
We were extremely pleased with how all of the photos turned out and could not have been blessed with a better photographer to capture our special day. The quality of the work was superb with a quick turnaround of approximately four weeks! We cannot thank the CityLux Studios team enough!

On the day, Sarah made a conscious effort to find ways to take lots of fun and unique photos without disrupting the flow of the evening. She was literally up for anything when it came to getting a good picture (e.g. trudging through the snow in freezing weather!) and she was so relaxed and fun to hang out with the whole time. We received our teaser photos the very next day and our full album just a few weeks later. We are so happy with every single photo!! If I'm ever in need of professional photography I will definitely be calling Sarah again :)

In communicating with them and meeting them for the first time, they were responsive, helpful, and so easy to talk to and fun to be around. We had so much fun shooting our engagement photos with them. They have such great eyes for angles, poses, and lighting, made 2 very awkward people feel comfortable in front of the camera, and returned the most stunning gallery of photos to 2 people who typically hate how they look in photos. They were extremely prompt (if not early!) at arriving on our wedding day, knowledgeable on correct posing/lighting, and also very organized with the timeline. They turned our photos back around on time and even surprised us with a USB with a few videos - which was amazing considering that we (regrettably) didn't hire a videographer.
