CityView at Illinois Terminal

The venue itself is great! We loved how spacious it is. Unfortunately, the staff at this venue have horrible customer service. We had to reschedule our wedding multiple times due to the pandemic. At first, management said we could get our money back no problem if we did have to cancel. Then once it came time to cancel, we could not get any money back. The event coordinator was extremely hard to get a hold of. I called multiple times, and they were always out of the office. I left multiple messages and they never returned my calls. I also called the talk to the manager, but they didn't seem to care that we were very upset with the event coordinator and our experience with CityView. Overall, I would not recommend this venue because of their customer service.

We had originally booked our wedding reception at the CityView at Illinois Terminal. We had worked with Wendy to do the showing and the booking. Unfortunately do to the COVID 19 pandemic we had to change our date and ultimately cancel not only because of the pandemic but also because my husband is military (living out of state) and couldn't travel during this time. Throughout the entire planning process, pre-covid and during pandemic changes, Wendy was absolutely amazing to work with. She answers all communications super promptly and was extremely understanding and sympathetic when we had to cancel. Without much explanation we were able to cancel and get our money back. I am extremely disappointed that we weren't able to have our reception at the CityView at Illinois Terminal but am just as much grateful for Wendy and her warm spirit and understanding throughout it all! Would definitely recommend based on our experience.

Great to work with. We rented the entire floor and use the smaller part for our cocktail party and larger part for the wedding reception. You have to use their caterer dish passionate, but they're the best in town you should use them anyway! Our Guest raved about the food, and the servers and bartenders were wonderful and kept up with everything. I really can't say enough good things. I do want to say this though... These views from those floor-to-ceiling windows at night are spectacular! The place has this semi-industrial feel with high ceilings and exposed venting, and the lighting system that's really nice.

Jane was great! We used Dish Catering. The two together provided a wonderful meal and an amazing room! Simply Can't beat the views! All of my guests commented on how they didn't even know that venue existed!
