Samirah went above and beyond in every single way possible to make our wedding as wonderful as it could have been. She is so easy to work with and truly works with you hand in hand to create the wedding cake on your dreams. We got married on my parents 35th wedding anniversary and she surprised us with mini version of their wedding cake ...she asked our planner to get a picture of it.... it was so special and kind. I cannot recommend her enough for all you future brides!!!

Clara's was the best to work with! Always responsive, very professional. Their cakes not only look beautiful....they taste AMAZING!! The desserts they did for our wedding were an absolute HIT!! We have had several people ask us for their contact information.....they will not disappoint! Helped make my wedding day the BEST DAY EVER!!

Clara's is AMAZING! We had a wedding cake, gluten free cake, and a bunch of other goodies and thanks to her, the dessert table was empty by the end of the night! Our cake was so beautiful and delicious. She took my vision and somehow made it even more wonderful

I highly recommend Cakes by Design! This cake was not only so delicious (my wedding guests made a point to tell me how good it was!) but also beautiful. Working with Tabitha was wonderful - she worked with me to figure out my favorite flavors and with the help of her expertise we came up with a really fun and unique 3-tier wedding cake with different flavors/fillings on each tier! I thought I wanted a very simple design but gave Samirah creative liberty and it was better than I imagined. She was very responsive and timely and just a dream to work with. I will definitely be using Clara's again for any future needs!

We did a cake (which everyone RAVED about on our wedding day), chocolate covered cheesecake bites and lemon meringue tarts. All of the items arrived on time at the venue and tasted amazing.

When we saw our wedding cake for the first time in person on our wedding day, we were absolutely stunned by how beautiful and elegant the cake looked! I looked at many photos of beautiful wedding cakes online for inspiration during the wedding planning process, but our wedding cake definitely took the cake (pun intended!). It was more beautiful than any cake I had ever seen! We ordered a four-tier cake decorated with vanilla buttercream in two flavors. Wedding cakes often taste bland and dry, but Clara's made a wedding cake that was beautiful and delicious! Prior to the reception, we noticed many guests taking photos of the cake, which was a testament to how elegant and striking the cake looked! The cake also received rave reviews from our guests and was extremely tasty. We highly recommend for delicious wedding cakes and great service!

We absolutely LOVED our cake!! We had to make some last minute changes to our cake design and flavors to accommodate additional guests (with allergies) Clara's made that process extremely easy. We told her to surprise us with the design. It was absolutely perfect the colors and pattern matched our room design perfectly. Everyone kept telling us and our planner how delicious it was...a cannoli on steroids it was . A most delicious cannoli! We couldn't thank them enough!

We got married in August 2022. Picking out our cake was the first thing my husband and I did ... because, cake! We thought we would shop around for a while before picking a baker but after our first tasting with Clara’s we were sold. Working with them was great from start to finish. The tasting was boxes to go and there was so much we had a little tasting party. So much fun. The variety of flavors and fillings was overwhelming but Samirah guided us through all of it with suggested combinations and all. My husband and I have very different taste preferences but we both were able to decided on flavors and fillings that we both loved - lemon cake and raspberry buttercream with lemon curd and fresh berries for the main and top tier, chocolate chocolate chip espresso with chocolate buttercream and chocolate ganache for the second tier, and vanilla be and strawberry buttercream for the third tier. Our guests raved about the cake and kept saying how delicious it was. From start to finish Clara’s was responsive, within our price point, and on time. We didn't have a single issue with them and couldn't recommend them more!

Several of our guests told us it was the best tasting cake they'd ever had at a wedding and I agree! Really tasty. Samirah was also really helpful and responsive throughout the entire process (I was a very nervous bride -thanks COVID!), delivery was on time, and the cake looked amazing! Honestly, the best cake we've ever had. We were less concerned with design (buttercream with flowers) and decided to focus on flavor We filled out a questionnaire telling us all our favorite things. I love apple pie and my husband loves cannoli, We chose to go with two flavors and they mimicked those two desserts perfectly. Our guests RAVED about how delicious it was!

We didn't want a traditional cake and decided to do a huge dessert bar instead. We had 250 guests so this was no small task, Cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, mini pies, cream puffs, eclairs, cookies and more! So many desserts, so little time. Everything was beautiful and delicious.

Our cake was just perfect. It was as tasty as it was beautiful. We wanted something simple and clean but she coordinated with our planner and surprised us with something truly spectacular.

Clara's made our daughters wedding cake and it was everything we could have imagined and more. She merged photos of my wedding and my mother's wedding cakes, taking elements of both for a truly memorable experience,

I never got a chance to post this 4 years ago but I see how many other couples after us had similar experiences. Seems like she is still in business today so I am compelled to share our story as well. And to echo everyone else's review, please stay away. No matter how pretty her desserts look on social media, it's just not worth it! Here is our story... Samirah is a CROOK! She literally did not deliver - we never received our 2 wedding cakes, 130 assorted doughnuts (for the doughnut wall that my now-husband built a year prior to our wedding), and 100 churros. Our planner did not hear back from her - after multiple attempts throughout the day - until about 9pm, on the evening of our wedding. Our planner and her team had to scramble and get us a small cake from Wegmans so we can cut our "wedding cake" and boxes of donuts from Dunkin Donuts just so we can have our donut wall filled up for our guests -- we were completely aggravated as you can imagine!! Samirah emailed us the following day explaining the situation (medical issue - which we completely understand) and promised us a refund immediately. IT IS NOW ALMOST 4 MONTHS LATER AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED OUR REFUND. We've of course followed up multiple times and did not hear back from her ...well, except when we left a nasty comment on one of her IG photos one day. Her "assistant" emailed us the next day saying they would be sending us the refund. (Surprise! Still no refund). We just want our money back- we have been so patient and given her sufficient time to respond, but she has forced us to file a small claims lawsuit. (Edit: we just tried looking up her business Corporation Bureau and they confirmed that she is NOT REGISTERED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF PA). Seriously folks, STAY AWAY! She does not know how to properly run a business and may just leave you high and dry.

DO NOT GET YOUR WEDDING CAKE FROM HERE!!! We did the cake sample (very expensive btw) and hired this shop to do our wedding cake. They were unorganized, difficult to get a hold of, and ultimately flaked on us a couple of weeks before our wedding. Didn't apologize or take ownership for not producing a cake for our wedding. We ended up having to buy a cake last minute for our wedding because of the carelessness of this store.

I booked this bakery for my wedding and gave a $200 security deposit for borrowing cake stands. It has been almost a year since my wedding and I still have yet to see the security deposit returned. I have contacted her via e-mail, facebook, and phone (15 attempts to reach out since September) and have had only one response (3 months ago) saying her employees deleted all of my correspondences and the security deposit will be returned. I've given up on trying to get the money back. The treats for my wedding were delicious but it was not worth dealing with this headache. I would not recommend this bakery.

Stay away!! Samirah makes beautiful cakes but she has no follow through. I ordered a cake sample which she promptly corresponded to receive payment but then I never got a tasting shipped (I live in CA) and have been sending a dozen emails to which she ignores and I still haven’t gotten a refund. Such a shame the business side of her company is full of weird excuses and no follow through because the cakes look beautiful online.

Don't let the bright, fancy desserts fool you. Clara's Groovy Deliciousness is an unprofessional establishment few would actually consider a business. Before you happily hand over your money, you are schmoozed with samples, cards, and direct messages. After that, who knows! On my Wedding Day, Samirah apparently got into a car accident en route to the venue causing delay in the timely arrival of our cake and guest favors. I accepted this information as simply one of the things that go wrong on your Big Day. Samirah promised a refund on the guest favors and I have yet to see a dime. By the way, it has been 55 days now since our nuptials and neither I or my husband have heard a word. It's a real shame she runs her "business" this way. We spent over $2000 and have been totally mistreated.

By far the best sweets I've tasted since I've been on earth... Coconut doughnuts and ginger meringues!She is literally a genius when combining flavors. Its like an explosion in your mouth, and who doesn't want that! Samirah is the best so beautiful and bubbly. Trust me you will not be disappointed if you choose her to create your wedding cake and sweets ! She's got the whole package. The cake she made for our vow renewal was everything I could have dreamed of.
