Clara's Wedding & Alteration

Clara is the absolute best. She made my dress everything that I wanted. She is meticulous in her work And a true professional. I would recommend that any bride use her for their alterations. She will make you feel as if you were her only client and provide a very personal service. Her prices are phenomenal for the quality of customer service you get.

I can’t say enough about how amazing clara and her husband are! 1. Clara is extremely talented and has tons of experience doing wedding dresses which shows in her alterations. I am a shorter bride so to not lose the embellishments on the bottom of the dress Clara literally had to cut my dress in half to shorten the length. Not only would you never know that it was cut into two but she actually improved upon the dress design. 2. This is not just a business to them, they truly care! When I came in for my second fitting I brought my veil so I could see it all together. Without me having to ask, they steamed my veil and got all the wrinkles out from when it was shipped. As I’m getting ready to leave they hung it up and put a bag over it to protect it. Also while I was there one of the rhinestone fell of my shoe and they eagerly wanted to help. The husband then took my shoe in the back room and fixed it. I’m so lucky to have found them to do my alterations!

Clara's work is nothing short of incredible!!! After bringing my wedding gown to two prominent alterations places and not feeling comfortable, I went with a co-worker's recommendation to go see Clara. The shop is small and modest, but you can feel the warmth as soon as you walk in. My dress needed a few things tweaked, along with a little weird re-shaping, and Clara fixed it PERFECTLY!! She listened carefully to all of my requests - "not too tight, I need to be able to breathe!" Her alterations were absolutely meticulous, and the dress fit perfectly and looked stunning!! My now-husband kept complimenting how amazing the dress looked on me. It was a pretty dress to start with, but Clara made it gorgeous. Thank you, Clara!!

Clara is an amazing seamstress. As mother of the bride, I bought a very pretty dress, but it was too big. Clara took it apart, put it back together and it fit beautifully. More importantly was what she did for my daughter. We used the bridal shop alterations department. What a mistake. Went for our final fitting and the dress was too short and had the most uneven hem you could imagine. There were less than three weeks before the wedding. I called Clara and she said to bring it in. She took it apart, lowered the front, made the hem even AND fixed several other things she found wrong. All within two weeks. My daughter was a beautiful bride. Her dress was perfect. We can't thank Clara enough!

Clara was a total lifesaver. The seamstress at the shop where I ordered my dress had made several mistakes and told me that certain things couldn't be fixed. Panicked, I went to Clara because I had heard wonderful things about her from a friend. She totally saved the day! My dress was ready on time and she was able to make it look amazing. She even suggested a few changes I hadn't though of and sewed layers of crinoline into the skirt so that I wouldn't have to wear the separate undergarment the dress boutique sold me. I would highly recommend her for all your alteration needs! She is also taking care of the dress preservation and will fix a tear in the bottom edge of the lace that occurred during the reception.

After purchasing my dress out of state and being new to the area, I had no idea where to go for my wedding dress alterations. My dress was quite complicated and I was nervous that alterations were not an option. So, I took a chance and found Clara's and I am SO happy that I did! She opted to alter my dress in the most aesthetically pleasing way even though it was an added inconvenience for her. She also was extremely fair in pricing and was always so sweet. Clara's other services include dress preservation and dry-cleaning, so it is truly a one-stop shop for all things wedding-dress related.

Clara did an amazing job on my wedding dress! Due to a miscommunication error, the boutique I bought my wedding dress from did not order it on time, so I had to settle with the showroom dress that was a size too small. Panicked, I was about 5 weeks out from my wedding before I was able to find this affordable shop and her work was nothing short of a miracle! My dress fit me like a glove and she even accommodated my request to have it done in the span of 2-3 weeks (I had a destination wedding and needed it to fly out beforehand). I couldn't have been happier with the service or more comfortable on my big day.
