His ability to connect with both our families before the first event was remarkable, and he continued to charm everyone throughout. Months after the wedding, my family still fondly asks about Clarence, a testament to the lasting impression he made. Navigating a wedding can be overwhelming, but hiring Clarence proved to be our best decision. He brought a refreshing, happy, and calm demeanor to the entire process. And finally the pictures themselves were breathtaking, Clarence carefully considered our preferences, avoiding black and white photos and capturing candid family moments. tic personality makes everyone feel at ease. We are not super comfortable in front of the camera, but Clarence made our engagement shoot feel like we were just hanging out with him. At our rehearsal dinner, our wedding party even thought he was just one of our friends until he pulled out his camera! Not only was shooting with him so much fun, but the resulting photos were incredible. What stands out about his photography style is that he's able to capture the emotions of how our day felt. When we look at our photos, we can relive our memories and cherish them for years. He also went out of his way to scout out the locations with the best light ahead of time, taking into account details such as how we wanted greenery in our first look. To top it off, he delivered our final album with a beautiful boxed set of printed photos that were absolutely breathtaking. We completely trust his eye for photography and can't recommend him enough. We've already had several friends ask about our photographer after seeing our pictures. You can't go wrong with booking Clarence!!

shy and while we of course wanted photographs of our wedding, we were nervous about what it would be like to be followed around all day by a photographer. Clarence is so genuine, honest, kind, and easy to work with that he immediately put us at ease. He truly wants you to have the best photos possible. He patiently answered all our questions (including a lot of technical questions about his equipment and how he stores and backs up photos). Clarence did an engagement session with us in the East Village of NYC and went around to all our favorite spots. He was great at capturing both shots on the go as well as gently cueing us on poses (something we thought would be awkward but was not with Clarence). It was great to do an engagement session because then on the day of the wedding, we already knew each other well. Everything was seamless - he was so excited that it was snowing and captured so many beautiful outdoor snowy photos! I can’t wait for my sister to plan a wedding so that we can work with Clarence again!!!

Clarence met with us a few months before our wedding and heard our vision and shared some suggestions with us. Our theme was a rustic farm wedding in Maryland and he had worked at the venue before, which was our deciding factor. Clarence was so accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we felt comfortable with the photography options being presented to us. Clarence met with us again a week before our wedding and reviewed our shot list. On the day of the wedding, Clarence was on time and brought an assistant, free of charge to us. They were patient with us and worked on the detail shots first (shoes, belt, wedding programs, etc.) while my fiancee was getting ready. He went and spent time with the ladies as they were prepping and then came and spent time with the gents. Clarence arranged our 1st look and every one said it looked so beautiful. He had such creative ideas to capture tasteful moments of us before our wedding. During our reception, Clarence and his assistant kept moving around to capture different angles. They worked AMAZINGLY with our videographer - it was such a pleasure to watch them at work. Clarence took charge in arranging our family shots and made sure to execute our shot list. During the reception, Clarence even got up on chairs to capture different angles and it was AMAZING to see him so active and engaged on our wedding day. Clarence stayed until the very end (10 hours!) and made sure not to miss a single important shot. WOW is all I can say! Clarence exceeded our expectations and I'm so appreciative of how he made us feel taken care of. I STRONGLY recommend Clarence Chan Photography to future married couples!!!

is difficult to get the lighting, facial expressions and colors all perfect in live action. This photographer is one of the few out there that is really worth the money. I looked through dozens and no one comes close to Clarence. He is unbelievable. You will love your photos, because he really is the best.

know what type of photos you want and to send those to him (to any photographer I think that's probably helpful). Something cool that he does is use two different cameras - his normal photo camera but also the Rolleiflex camera that's been in his family for a couple of generations. Really cool! You can also request him to bring a second photographer which will cost more but it's nice to know you have the option to have a second person there to capture moments from multiple angles.
