From our first meeting with Adam, to the follow up with Bill closer to the time, we were impressed with their attentiveness and openness. These DJ's aren't a factory and are much more personable than the ones that are. They work well with each other and communicate well. They kept us on the dance floor till the last possible minute and those that stayed till then enjoyed them immensely. We had many comments about how good they were, and some guests were asking for the list of songs they played. Our only one issue was they didn't play one singer that was on our must play list, which was a shame because the song we wanted has a big connection with our relationship. But they played everything else on the absolute must band list. We'd definitely recommend these guys if you're looking for a dance-fest at your wedding (and we were :) Thanks again Bill & Adam for being part of our special day.

My husband and I chose Classic Events Music as our DJ/MC for our September 2017 wedding and we’re so glad we did! We had a Colombian/Indian wedding and wanted a DJ that could incorporate music from both cultures at our reception. From our first meeting with Bill, we knew we made the best decision. He already had most of our must play songs! Bill and Adam were very responsive, flexible with pricing, and a pleasure to work with. Our reception was amazing, and people are still raving about it months later! I would HIGHLY recommend them!

We got married at the Riviera at Massapequa April 2017, Bill and Adam were both in the attendance making our ceremony and reception an absolute HIT! Husband and I are sooo soo happy and lucky to have found these guys that love their business & gave us everything that we wanted for our special day. When we first met them we felt very comfortable talking with them they made an effort to hear who we are as a couple and learn about our different styles. Although we weren't too sure on all our music choices they got our vibe and were ready with suggestions. We had an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception them provided all the sound, lighting and it was perfect. Adam MC'd our night and he is amazing and checked in with us without being overbearing. Bill's taste in music is spot on and I barely gave him a song list. He was even able to source Haitian Kompa music for me! They did a fantastic job and were perfect for us. I reached out to a ton of DJs for my wedding and I am really happy that I ultimately chose Classic Events. Classic Events did an amazing job at my wedding reception. Adam is very organized and incredibly professional and makes sure that he understands your style and preferences leading up to the big day. He checks in as needed (not all vendors do) which I really appreciated especially in the last week's daze. He was very patient with my suggestions and playlist changes throughout the whole process and provided helpful feedback when I got stuck. Bill and Adam totally understood my vision of how to start the night (classic/romantic vibes) and then seamlessly transitioned into party mode (top hits and EDM). I knew my guests would not need much encouragement to dance, but boy did they dance! Many of my guests specifically mentioned how much they loved the music Adam and Bill played throughout the night. Their prices are competitive and they were so easy to plan my wedding with; I highly recommend them for your next event!

Adam was fantastic, very helpful, and managed the planning and the night very well. We had some impromptu things pop up at our wedding and he was able to take care of it perfectly.

Bill met with us beforehand and patiently went over every aspect of music to make sure we knew what we wanted and were getting it. He is smart, savvy, and sensitive and was open to some alternative choices (unusual first dance song he downloaded just for us) and followed up on some items we weren't sure about. Contract, questionnaire, and correspondence were super easy and helpful. The price was superb, and the service was so good we still have guests commenting on how good the music was. He has many previous wedding playlists save so it makes it easy to cherrypick from his experience (I recommend "Closing Time" as the last song if you're a child of the '90s!).

We got married this past week at Houston Hall-- the dance floor was packed all night thanks to Adam and Classic Events! Adam was so great to work with-- super laid back but also extremely thorough and professional. One of the main reasons that we chose to go with Adam/Classic Events was that they mix all of their music live and only play one to two minutes of each song before moving on to the next one-- this keeps everyone on the dance floor. We were so pleased with everything from the music to the MCing, these guys were great and I cannot recommend them enough!

Adam from Classic Events completely took care of us. They listened to our needs and wants and worked with all our ideas. They ran speakers up to the roof of our venue for the cocktail hour and played all of our must plays. They totally got the vibe we wanted for our wedding and delivered. We met a few times (initial meeting and walk through of venue) to go over everything. It was an even more great time because of the atmosphere that was created! Adam and Classic Events made the experience easy!

They did an awesome job as DJ for our wedding. They were very organized and attentive. Adam was a fantastic DJ for our wedding! Our families are not very large, so friends made up a little more than half of the guests. Adam played some classics to start the dancing but then played newer music as the night progressed. He even stuck to our Do Not Playlist when a guest requested a song off it. Adam kept things fun without being overbearing or trying too hard. Adam was professional, showed up on time, and is flexible with payment methods. He even helped us with some equipment for the ceremony. I strongly recommend Adam for your wedding.

Adam was an awesome DJ for our NYC wedding this month! We had given him pretty specific instructions on keeping the party going and making sure people stayed on the dance floor and he definitely delivered! All our guests loved the music and danced until the venue shut down. He didn't spend any time on things we didn't want in the reception and asked us in advance about what traditions we wanted to include etc. My husband and I had an absolute blast. Adam even helped prep our ceremony songs at no extra charge which was incredible of him! If you're looking for an amazing wedding DJ, he is your guy.

I can't say enough about how great it was to work with Adam at Classic Events. Adam was incredibly thorough when gathering all of our likes - and more importantly, dislikes - and created a setlist that kept the dance floor packed all night long. For weeks we had people telling us that it was the music was incredible and that they never danced so much at a wedding before. He really came through with some of our more particular requests and even took a cue from one of our guests to add one more song as no one wanted the night to end. Adam as DJ and Bill as MC were a great duo! Our whole night had a great flow and most importantly there was never a dull moment on the dancefloor. Adam was our primary contact, and he was great in helping us think through how the night would be structured and our music style - he had many good insights based on a lot of experience. He met with us 2 times prior to the wedding (including a visit to the venue) and also came early on the day of to set up the microphone for our ceremony. Adam and Bill did a great job incorporating our specific requests, including 2 Greek wedding songs! Highest recommendation!

I was beyond thrilled with Classic Events Music playing our wedding. The whole evening was seamless thanks to them, they easily moved everything along from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. Classic Events Music was key to making our wedding reception at the Bridgeview Yacht Club both fun and elegant. I was impressed with the personalized service from the first contact until the wedding itself. Classic events made our wedding amazing!!! Many of our guests said our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to and Classic Events was the main reason. Classic Events, specifically Bill, DJ'd our wedding on October 3rd in Westchester, NY. Wow, we couldn't have asked for more in a DJ/MC. Bill was amazing from start in the planning process through the actual wedding. He never missed a beat (pun intended!) with even the smallest detail. He went above and beyond to give us the most amazing music experience from ceremony to dinner and lots of dancing too. Bill used all of our desired songs and was also an excellent sounding board for suggestions on the flow of special dances and when to do speeches etc. If you are looking for a vendor that you can count on to make your event great, look no further than Classic Events.

We are so happy we chose Classic Events to DJ and MC our wedding this past Saturday! (They also did our uplights and Gobo light, both of which was fantastic.) Adam was super responsive to our emails, met with us at the venue ahead of time to discuss details, and checked in during the actual wedding to make sure we were happy with the set. All time best DJ around! Everyone at our wedding was saying how great they were for weeks after. Adam kept the entire group (young and old) dancing all night by mixing in classic jams with some newer ones. Bill kept everything moving and was a wonderful MC - I didn't have to think about the timeline at all that night! These guys are real professionals and it doesn't hurt that they are both super nice as well! If you want a great party, hire these guys!!

We can't thank Adam and Classic Events Music enough for DJing at our wedding. The entire process--from brainstorming music suggestions to planning the actual timeline of the evening--was seamless, easy, and fun! Adam is the consummate professional, and is super nice to boot. Not only did my husband and I LOVE the music (Adam managed to hit all of our "musts" while mixing in a few suggestions that were so on target we couldn't believe we hadn't put them on our list!), but several sets of guests independently came up to us and told us how great they thought the DJ was. Literally everyone was on the dance floor the entire night, from couples in their 70s to those of us in our late 20s/early 30s to our token 9-year-old guest. This is no small feat, as our music ranged from Ella Fitzgerald to The Supremes to Top 40. Adam knows exactly how to read the room and play the song that will either mellow things out or get people revved up. They are also an incredible value for the quality of service they provide. We can't rave enough about Classic Events Music -- you can't go wrong!

Classic Events Music made our wedding night absolutely perfect. Not only was the music amazing and got everyone on the dance floor but Adam was so easy and pleasant to work with! My husband is from Australia and it is a custom over there to have a a close friend MC the night. Most DJs refused us this option but Adam was up for it and things worked out seamlessly. Adam knew when to let our MC have the floor but also took over the mic when needed to run the show. I also really appreciated the fact that they were willing to work with us on our budget. We hired Classic Events for our wedding this past November and they were nothing but awesome! Adam was so helpful and so easy to work with. Me and my husband had recommended a wide array of music we wanted to be played and Adam did a great job at working all the songs in. I do not know even where to begin with how happy we were with Classic Events Music. Adam is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He is very patient and went through every detail with my husband and I. He met us for the first time at a bar which was convenient for us and then did a venue walk through to make sure he knew the venue. He is extremely thorough and made sure we were happy with all our choices. I decided to have a slideshow and when my disc wasn't working right he stepped in and fixed it for us without hesitation. As for his DJ skills I would say it was top notch. All my guests literally were on the dance floor from the moment he started playing and could not stop dancing!!! He chose the best music and we loved it! If you want to have the best wedding or event ever and like good music then your choice is simple... Classic events music. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

The music was outstanding! It was everything we were looking for and then some. I wanted to comment on how professional and well-prepared Adam and Bill were. They met with my fiance and I a few times to get to know us and what exactly we were looking for with the wedding (they were very detail-oriented). They also visited the venue with us to give us a chance to map out how the evening would go. It was very helpful and gave us piece of mind - we highly recommend them for this reason.

And we can't stop raving about Classic Events! They played really great and unique cocktail hour and dinner music. It fit our tastes perfectly (Indie rock, downtempo, and soul). Things got even better once the dancing started. It was just a perfect mix of old favorites and new music. We even requested an extra hour of music because nobody wanted to stop dancing! I've been to my fair share of weddings and they've been fun for the most part. But they all seem to have the same, cookie-cutter "wedding music" songs that you hear over and over again. We wanted something different, more unique like a real DJ's set that you would hear when you go out in the city. And we got that and so much more! A few of my husband's friends are DJs and even they were overly impressed! Thank you for making our night one that we'll never ever forget.

My feelings about Classic Events are ones of both, exuberance and humility! Our wedding consisted of melding cultures, and people, and regions. Adam did such an amazing job playing a blend of music that satisfied the needs of the bride & groom in addition to our party hungry guests! Portuguese Fado, Ska Reggae, Dancehall, Pop... the performance of Adam & Co. continue to amaze me the more I think about it. So many of our guests commented on the music, and how much fun they had. I thought that I knew exactly what my guests would love to dance to at our wedding. I gave Adam a list of songs that I thought should played - however Adam showed exactly why he's a great DJ and and picked out only the good songs. He mixed them in perfectly with so many other great dance songs that I wouldve never even thought of! My bridesmaids were a little crazy on the dancefloor, but we had such an awesome time thanks to the amazing music. We're so happy that we left the DJing to the professionals - Classic Events!

Classic events are a great, professional pick! Adam helped guide us through the whole wedding introduction / music / lighting process and made our big day extremely special. My only complaint was that I spent a lot of time picking songs I wanted to be played and a bunch of them didn't make it... though, I think if I had made more of a point of it they certainly would have been. Also, my husbands indian pop music wasn't the easiest match with my love of classic 60s rock. That being said, I'm sure I was the only one who noticed and everyone has given nothing but positive responses. I would suggest Classic Events to any of my friends!

Adam is a total pro! He was super responsive throughout the planning process, checked in regularly to make sure we were on the same page regarding our timing and even took the time to visit our venue with us to make sure he knew where to set up and just get a general feel for the space (no other vendors would visit the space). He nailed our musical taste completely (our guests said that it was "so us" to have 90s alt rock, Led Zeppelin, and other non-traditional wedding music playing during dinner). Totally reasonable price-wise too. We generally really liked him as a person and felt so comfortable having him play such a huge role in our wedding and he did an awesome job. Everyone had a blast.

My husband and I are so happy we went with Classic Events for our big day. Adam was a pleasure to work with- fun, knowledgeable and patient! We were very late with many of our song selections, changed some of them along the way, and when our officiant needed sound equipment at the last minute Adam worked with our venue to make sure everything was ready for him. My husband and I really enjoyed working with Adam! Before the wedding, he was always super responsive to emails and questions. He also met with us at the venue to figure out the space and lighting. He was very thorough and detail oriented. At our wedding, Adam created a warm atmosphere and he was also a great MC. DJ Adam gave us an awesome party. He understood the atmosphere and music we were going for, with a combination of something for the parents and for the friends (age 27-35). His songs were long enough to be fun and short enough to not be boring. He played all our request songs, including some Norwegian song requests. All our friends and family commented what an awesome dance party it was, which was very important to us. Thank you DJ Adam for making our party rock!

Music was very important to my fiancé and I for our wedding. We wanted to make sure we found a dj that wasn't the cookie cutter wedding dj- with the cheesy giveaways and fog machines! Adam and Bill from classic events really got what we wanted for our big day- a fun party atmosphere that people would always remember. I was so overwhelmed with all the stuff I had to do for our wedding. The other vendors were more work than I thought, and I hoped that the DJ would be easier. We saw Adam DJ a friend's wedding and my fiance and I knew that we really wanted Classic Events to be a part of our big night. Adam helped us setup the timeline of the night, and helped us think of things we hadn't even thought of to make the music so much more fun and enjoyable. I had Classic Events DJ/MC my wedding in September 2012 and they were beyond awesome!!! They're super professional and willing to do whatever it take to make your night perfect. I sent a list of songs which me and my husband wanted to be played, and they made sure each song was played. Even their set up was great with lighting. They made the night so live!!! It wasn't just a wedding celebration, it was a party! They got every single person off their seat and on the dance floor. I was referred to Classic Events through a friend as I was searching for a DJ for my upcoming wedding. I had been disappointed with many of the 'personalities' in the Boston area - they weren't what I was looking for. I wanted to dance the night away to great music with my guests, not listen to corny jokes and long speeches. I found what I was looking for with Adam at Classic Events. Not only was he friendly and easy to work with, but he agreed to my request of not playing any organized dances. Most importantly, he offered honest, helpful advice and was always supportive and understanding of the stress that can come with planning such a big and personal event. I recently got married and like many brides, the music was especially important to me and my husband. Making it difficult is our age difference, which resulted in differing musical tastes, and also those of his no-longer teenage children which had to be taken into account. We also had an afternoon garden wedding so the music had to be tailored to a more relaxed and intimate affair, while still creating a fun and festive atmosphere. All that made for a difficult assignment for our DJ - but Bill Maidhof and the folks at Classic Events were up to the challenge and rose to the occassion beyond our wildest expectations! Bill took the time to listen to both me and my husband, and reviewed the many emails I would send through out the weeks leading up to our day naming yet another song I heard on the radio. We discussed what would fit and not work so well, and Bill was right every time! He spent as much time with me as I asked for, never making me feel like I was taking advantage. He wanted everything to be perfect FOR US (which may not be perfect for someone else), and he understood that a custom made wedding does not come from a pre-set play list. We had the music we all loved, something for everyone at our party, and the music enhanced our garden wedding and did not overpower it. It was a magical day and I could not envision any other DJ working so tirelessly to get it just right!. I whole-heartedly recommend Classic Events for any party - they are hard working, expremely talented and dedicated and really love spinning music, which shows through in every event.
