Claudia was absolutely amazing to work with. She knows exactly what she’s doing and makes sure you have fun taking the photos, even if you are camera shy like we are. We have the most amazing engagement photos and wedding photos. She captures all of the magical moments at our wedding, and even captured great photos of everyone having a wonderful time( we had about 90 people at our wedding and she got photos of everyone!) After working with Claudia, I think the one thing that stands out is that she’s not just a photographer with an artistic perspective on the other side of the lens. She truly loves what she does and you can tell that she loves weddings and capturing all the special moments that you’ll remember for the rest of your lives. She will really do whatever it takes to get the perfect photo, and working with her is enjoyable which means you have a genuine smile in your pictures. When someone had a concern about their dinner, she saved the day and made sure my husband and I didn’t have to think about it for a second! I have to admit that I was a little concerned about the idea of having 1 photographer when there are two man photography teams out there, but she still captured every moment and we have over 2000 photos to choose from! My husband is Active duty army so in planning our wedding we always had the risk of his deployment interfering with the date. Many photographers wouldn’t want to take the risk of losing out of business because of this, but Claudia took a chance on us, and worked with us when my worst fear came true and 6 months prior to our wedding we had to reschedule.

We are so happy with our wedding photos! I don't know how one photographer manages to be everywhere and capture everything. Claudia captured so many incredible moments of us and of our wedding guests. I am having so much fun looking back and seeing with confidence that the day was how it felt and our family and friends were having as much fun as we were. As one of my friends said to me, I've never seen such consistently amazing photos of a wedding. So true! Claudia managed to capture our love and happiness, you can see the friendship between people in photos (including some incredible shots of my husband and his best friends), and she was really great the day of. She captured what she said she would capture: moments, and oh those moments are great. Even in the formal photos she captured moments, especially with me and my husband. These photos are treasures. My wife and I are very happy that we worked with Claudia Oliver Photography for our engagement session and wedding. We wanted bright, colorful, happy photos and that's exactly what Claudia Oliver Photography delivered! Claudia Oliver did a good job of listening and understanding what my wife and I like in photography and what kind of event we were putting together. She did a good job of applying what she learned in the discussion with us to take just the kind of photos we were hoping for. On our wedding day, it was clear that she had previewed the venue, planned good angles and lighting for various pictures, and executed in a professional manner. We can't be happier with how our wedding and reception was visually documented. Claudia Oliver has no hesitation about getting in position for the best possible shot with the best possible lighting. My only mild criticism is that we sometimes had to wait a little longer than we wanted to get a response to inquiries in the run-up to our wedding day. I presume that was because of Claudia Oliver's busy schedule. While not ideal, this criticism did not get in the way of Claudia doing an excellent job at the wedding and reception. I highly recommend Claudia Oliver Photography. The work and end product are sophisticated, professional, and visually stunning. Her work is very much worth the reasonable fee.

Claudia was a great wedding photographer to work with! Our engagement photo shoot was fantastic and we can't wait to see our wedding photos! She was super flexible with all the crappy weather on our wedding day and totally made it work!

There is not enough space for me to write how much I loved working with Claudia for my engagement and wedding photos. Not only was she personable, but she gave excellent direction and helped to ensure my wedding ran smoothly. Claudia also took my engagement photos and I still can't believe how beautiful those pictures turned out. Our family loves those photos, we love the photos, and we will fondly look at those pictures for years to come. As Claudia says, she captures loves and moments, so years later, when you're looking at pictures, you can remember how you felt in that moment...that time in your life were love was beginning to reach its peak. Although I haven't received my wedding pictures back yet. [Her turn-around time for wedding pictures is typically 8 to 10 weeks (my wedding was about 6 weeks ago0] I am sure they will be just as amazing as our engagement photos. I have recommended Claudia to my friends and hope to have another opportunity to use her services again in the future for other special events in me and my husband's life. Without hesitation, I would recommend Claudia to anyone looking for a very talented photographer. She was such a joy!

Claudia photographed us for an engagement photo session and she photographed our spring wedding in the DC/NOVA area. She is an experienced professional who is passionate about her work. She is creative, energetic and willing to go above-and-beyond to ensure that she gets the best shots. The photos are beautiful and exactly what we wanted!

My bride and I had the pleasure of hiring Claudia as our photographer for our recent wedding on May 30, 2015. Before the date, she helped us with a sample timeline and was accommodating to our unique schedule, even giving us some extra time so we can fit in all of our shots. On the day of, she arrived early and gave us some good advice on how we should do our ceremony based on the sunlight and photo options, which we appreciated. She made sure to take numerous shots of each type of photo we wanted that day. Everyone commented on how professional she was and that she looks like she knew what she was doing. I could tell she was a perfectionist, which is a good thing. During our reception she repeated her great work and gave us many helpful suggestions with not only how/where photos should be shot but again reception tips that we both were not sure about (e.g. cutting the cake). We found her quite flexible and resourceful when given photo situations which were not ideal, but she made it work (i.e. getting on top of a chair to take a shot of a big group photo). The whole day, she was tirelessly shooting and even chose not to eat some dinner that we offered because she felt she would not have time. We definitely respected that hard work ethic. I forgot to mention also that she threw in a complimentary engagement session! We were very appreciative of that. She shot at two very different locations for us (tennis courts and a botanical garden) and the photos came out wonderfully at each. She is very good at taking natural looking shots with no post-photo editing (at least none that we really noticed) and a lot of our friends and family members gave nice comments on her photo quality. If you are looking for an affordable, professional photographer in the DC area we highly recommend Claudia Oliver. We cannot wait to see how our wedding photos come out! I don’t really write reviews but Claudia truly deserves it! I found Claudia Oliver through this website and from the minute I met her, I saw and felt her passion in photography. Our wedding is not until May 2015 but I just got the photos from our Engagement session and my fiancé and I were totally blown away. She has a way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. If you are going to book Claudia for your wedding, you definitely have to book an engagement session with her in order to see her style and get comfortable with being photographed. Being in the Meetings and Events industry, I have very high standards in the vendors that I work with. Claudia has truly gone above and beyond my expectations. She is excellent to work with, very friendly, flexible and will really work with you to make sure she captures those special moments. We have 6 months to go before the wedding and I can’t wait to work with Claudia again! Claudia was our photographer for our reception in DC. She was very easy to work with and found all kinds of spots for shoots close to our reception area so we wouldn't have to go so far. She has such passion for her craft and you can tell that she loves what she does. During the reception, she captured all of the shots that we wanted and more! When we finally saw the finished photos, we were ecstatic on how they turned out. They are such beautiful pictures and are lucky that Claudia captured every moment. We love her style when we saw her portfolio and the pictures she took of our special day only confirmed that we made the right choice. Would highly recommend her for any occasion!

Claudia was incredible to work with, she consistently got the job done by capturing the most perfect memories. The pictures came out better than I could have imagined.Honestly, when reviewing them there images I didn't even know she had taken and the colors are remarkable! She not only was great to work with in preparation like in an engagement session and planning for the big day, but she was exceptional on the day of. We were running a little behind and she worked with my dad to capture the details like my shoes and invitation so that when we go there, she utilized all the time on what we wanted. She captured amazing sunlight and scenery, but the best part was the candids of my family and our spectacular shots post wedding. I swear I have never felt like a model before but these images could be in a bridal magazine. She really worked hard on the groomsmen to get genuine smiles and laughter. She was also extremely personal and worked with us on the packages to be sure we felt comfortable and had what we wanted. She was worth every penny of our budget spent on photography. Have patience in getting your images, she does amazing work and it is seen in the intimate details of your day. My recently late grandfather was quite a critic and he was in awe of her work. I am so happy he reviewed her beautiful pictures as he wasn't able to make the big day to travel, but got to really see the magic of what happened through these pictures. When we first met, she was very professional and brought many of her other works. She interviewed me to see if our styles would match, and it did! I booked Claudia for my upcoming wedding in June, but she also did an engagement session this past summer, and my fiance and I were completely blown away by our pictures - we absolutely loved them. Claudia Oliver was a very good pick for our wedding photographer. She is a true professional, listened to everything we wanted and gave us ever lasting memories! Our wedding was in Dec 2013 and was a destination wedding for us in Miami! I met with Claudia for maybe 30minutes on a location scouting trip and fell in love with her photography style and attitude. Being in the creative industry I was looking for a specific style and right away I knew she was the one for us. Claudia was very responsive during the months leading up to the wedding. Making sure she had all the information she needed and took special care in understanding what was most important to capture. The day of the wedding she met me at the salon and took charge. She was assertive to get the right photos and cature the moment, but it was almost like she was never there (in a good way). She let our day be our moment. She stayed all the way through the last song, which I assumed was well past our contracted hours. The best part was getting all my photos back...and I mean ALL of them! Her online viewing made it easy to go through the photos and share with family and friends. I would say there was not one bad image and she truly captured that day to a tee! Claudia was my wedding and engagement photographer and I couldn't have asked for anything better! it's cliche; I never write reviews, but I gladly need to tell everyone that Claudia is wonderful. I am so thankful she was there to capture our day, not only is she a true professional, but also was a great support during my wedding day. Our photos exceeded any expectations I had (and I had high hopes for the photos!) under challenging circumstances - the day was cloudy and it rained, but the photos came out absolutely stunning! All our guests laughed, cried and complimented the photos, Claudia captures emotions and natural moments in an elegant and timeless fashion. I love every photo she took. I am the MOB and we are SO pleased with the photos of my daughters wedding and engagement session. Claudia is very creative and takes advantage of what ever is at hand spontaneously and gets beautiful shots. After searching for a wedding photographer that would be perfect for "us", I finally found Claudia! I was planning a Florida wedding from Los Angeles, California and did not have time to meet anyone in person. I LOVED her work on her website and gave her a call. Her corespondence was great...quick response time and clearly had a passion for her profession in her voice! I immediately knew she would get the job done and we would be happy. Upon meeting her, my instincts were correct. Her work was beautiful and I knew she would capture all of our special moments without noticibly being there. She was great to work with and I felt very comfortable around her (and had no problem saying my likes and dislikes). Compared to others her packages are great and priced extremely well for what you get. Overall, I would highly reccommend using her if you are planning a wedding in South Florida!!!
