Obsessed with our wedding photos!!! Clay & Maggie made both our engagement shoot and wedding day extra special. They are both such fun people and we loved getting to know them. Both my husband & I hadn’t really taken professional pictures before, so we were a little nervous, but they made us feel super comfortable, and got us to laugh and be ourselves. So many great candids, and so many wonderful memories captured because of them. And we got back so many photos!!! Truly so thankful we booked Clay & Maggie for our special day.

We loved working with Clay Swanson Photography for our wedding. They made the day so relaxed and fun that we weren't ever tired of pictures! The photos are beautiful and very authentic because they captured us in real moments. We felt like we were able to enjoy our entire day without interruptions for photos, but we also have all the photos we wanted! We definitely recommend them for all of your photography needs!

Clay and Maggie are the perfect team! As a married couple, they know how to work well together and they make the photo process so fun. We felt so comfortable with them, from our first video call to the wedding day. They made us feel at ease, and captured every photo we wanted, plus more. Clay and Maggie are the absolute best!! It happened to rain during our ceremony and they were so positive and calm and took the most incredible pictures! They gave suggestions on where to take our wedding party pictures when our original plan wasn't going to work due to the rain which took a lot of stress off of us! We gave them a shot list of pictures that we really wanted and they captured those and then some that we didn't even think of which we are so thankful for! Clay was great! We had a call with him to discuss our wedding and get us started. He did a good job at communicating with us and helped us get a list ready of pictures we wanted and thoughts we had for our day. He exceeded all of our expectations. The pictures were great. He fit our relaxed, backyard family wedding and we couldn't have been happier with the results.

We loved working with Clay and Maggie! They did such a great job on our engagement photos, and even better with our wedding! It was so fun to have 2 photographers, with 2 different angles for all the big moments throughout the day. They have the sweetest personalities, and truly made our day special. We hired Clay and Maggie for engagement and wedding photos. Just had the engagement shoot and cannot express enough how amazing the entire experience was. From our first meeting to now getting our engagement photos back, it has been absolutely wonderful working with them. We can't wait for our wedding photoshoot! Extremely easy to work with and they are exceptional during the shoot, making my fiance, Tessa, and I both comfortable while taking photos (we don't take a lot of photos, so this was awesome). Clay even brought hand warmers and let Tessa use them (the shoot was in January and it was very cold). Cannot recommend them enough!

Where do I start with Clay and Maggie.... From the day we met Clay and Maggie for a consultation over coffee, we knew that they were the perfect choice for our wedding photography. They are so much fun to be around and have a great energy. When we did our engagement pictures, we spent so much time laughing and enjoying the time we had. We got our engagement pictures back about 3 weeks after we took them. During our wedding, it was so nice to have both Clay and Maggie there to capture 2x the moments. Maggie was so much fun while my girls and I were getting ready and I know the boys liked hanging out with Clay too. They were totally on it with all of our requests and made sure we got every shot quickly and efficiently. We got our wedding photos back right at 6 weeks after our wedding, and they are ABSOLUTELY dreamy! Our families and friends have given us so many compliments on them as well. I know we will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives, and we are so happy that we choose Clay and Maggie for our wedding and engagement pictures.

Ahhh. We love Clay and Maggie. First of all, they're your friends first—at our first meet-up they literally called us homie, dawg, bro, and we've never felt so seen by a wedding vendor 😂 My main desire for our wedding day was that it felt very natural, not very scheduled or staged, and that my husband and I just got to be in the moment and not pulled off for pictures or poses all the time. Clay and Maggie were like ninjas, blending in with our bridal party, joking around with our families, and capturing those natural moments we wanted most. They were super flexible on timeline of the wedding day, letting us pick what was important to us and then taking care of the remaining details so we didn't have any extra decisions on our shoulders. Our pictures are so natural and raw and perfection; they capture our joy and excitement to a freaking tee. We just purchased our first home and we can't WAIT for Clay and Maggie's work to be the first thing our guests see when they walk in the front door because you can bet your bottom dollar we are hangin' our photos EVVVERYWHERE. Clay & Maggie were incredible- which we knew from our engagement photos -they made us feel confident and relaxed. BUT WOWW! Our wedding photos blew us away. They were incredible the whole wedding day - went with the flow and also directed when needed as well as being very creative and professional. We love every single photo & they gave us so many to choose from. I would definitely recommend because we'll look back on the photos our whole life- we are so happy we invested in professionals.

When we met Clay and Maggie, we fell in love immediately. They clearly have the talent, but they also have incredible personalities. They were one of our favorite vendors from the beginning and were very patient with us when planning our engagement shoot. During the actual wedding they were fun, easy to work with, and I felt like they went above and beyond. The photos from our wedding turned out phenomenal, as well. The only frustration was their lack of communication towards the end. I don’t think their lack of communication happens with all their clients, because they were great at the beginning. They had life get in the way, which we understood. I would still recommend these photographers any day, but I would just recommend to communicate on both ends!

Clay & Maggie were awesome to work with for our wedding this year! They are a personable, down-to-earth, husband and wife team that keep things light, fun, and natural when shooting pictures. My husband and I loved their previous work and editing style so much, we didn't have a single worry. We loved getting to work with Clay and Maggie. They were easy to connect with, made the process so simple, and walked/coaches us through what we needed to do throughout the whole day. It was so easy to have them be a part of our day and they fit right in with the rest of our crew - Clay even got a couple of ping-pong games in with some of my groomsmen! We could not have asked for better photographers! I didn’t realize how important it was to have two photographers until our wedding day. I had no previous ideas of photos/poses that we wanted but clay and Maggie came with their own ideas and they were AMAZING! When I first looked for a photographer on The Knot, I was already getting inundated by calls and emails from vendors we met at the local wedding show, and that was annoying to me. I went on the site to try to find a reasonable photographer and found this sweet couple with only about 8 reviews at the time (over doubled since then just 6 months ago!), and fell in love with the mood and romance of their photography style. I wanted to give my business to this company that deserves more attention on this site. Do not let their baby faces worry you! This team is incredible! Clay and Maggie literally felt like part of our wedding party, words taken right from my new husband’s mouth. They are so easy to work with, so professional, made my guy feel completely relaxed on our wedding day, and were wonderful with our little girl too! Best decision we made hiring Clay Swanson Photography to photograph our wedding! Very professional, personable, prompt and it was enjoyable to spend the day with them. Clay and Maggie weren’t just our photographers, they became our friends and beloved wedding guests! (Even though we brought a table for them to sit and eat but accidentally loaded back in the truck and forgot to set up for them!) .... always feed and care for those helping at your wedding.

My husband and I had an absolutely incredible photography experience. Clay and Maggie have such a good blend of being professional but also so personal and fun! There was no standing around waiting for pictures - they came prepared with poses and we knocked them out one after another! But it never felt rushed. I am a Dallas girl planning a Kansas City wedding. If you’re a bride, take a minute and let that set in. Stress sweat has become a constant thing for me. When searching for a photographer, Clay & Maggies effortless style is exactly what i wanted. After video chatting with them, there was no other option, it had to be them. When my engagement shoot came up, we drove to Kansas City from Dallas. & as every fun Wedding story goes: it was raining and 35 degrees. I don’t think even Zanex could have calmed me down that day, this had been planned for so long. Maggie emailed me and kept me so calm and cared for. They so genuinely care about their couples and that means so much to me. We were able to continue the shoot and they didn’t complain once about the weather. They made me feel beautiful, they brought out the pure love between my fiancé and I. They made us laugh through uncomfortable poses and reassured us when we needed. I can't say anything but wonderful things about Maggie and Clay! From the first day I met them I knew I had made the right choice. After meeting them for the first time I remember thinking wow... they genuinely care about getting to know me and I feel as if I am talking with friends! Not only are they wonderful people to be around but they are also very professional and go above and beyond to meet your every need and make you feel comfortable. When it came time for our engagement photos they were flexible when we had to move the date to make sure our outdoor shoot would have all the wonderful fall colors. Not only that, but at the time Maggie was over 9 months pregnant and she was more than happy to still come out and walk around the park for our session! Taking pictures can many times be awkward but they made the entire process fun and enjoyable. Our pictures turned out absolutely perfect, and I felt like they were able to truly capture the essence of our personalities and relationship in every shot. Here in three months they will be shooting my wedding, and I wouldn't want to be working with anyone else! They have been the best investment we have made by far and are worth every penny and more. They have a true love and talent for what they do, and you would be hard pressed to find better quality for a better price. I am in love with their artistic style and their ability to capture the beauty of the natural landscape in their pictures and use it to enhance each photo. Having an outdoor wedding this was very important to me and I found when looking around that very few photographers have this talent. I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding. This is the first wedding that I had ever been involved in and working with Clay as our photographer was something that I can say truly enhanced the overall wedding experience! He was on time & early, sent in one of his female teammates into our dressing room to capture those special "getting ready" moments. They worked as a team throughout the early morning and into the late evening to capture special moments, multiple angles, and everything in between the events of the wedding. He was open to opinions, suggestions, and the random crazy ideas we threw out (we were a high energy bunch!). They carried themselves well and were a delight to have at the wedding. They were in the middle of all of the fun, yet seemed to go unnoticed, never interrupting the flow of the night or genuine interactions between the guests and bridal party. The pictures came back in just a short couple weeks and not only were they GORGEOUS photos, but there were so many photos! They captured the essence of Taylor and Anthan (bride and groom) perfectly. They captured the candid moments. They captured the guests and the bridal party beautifully. They captured even the small moments and details I had forgotten about but now will never forget. My friends, sorority sisters, and Facebook friends have been blowing up the comments and interactions with these photos for days upon days since they have been up! Incredible photography! They laid low throughout the day of the wedding and made sure to not interrupt memories that were being made, yet they captured every aspect of the day! Truly astonished how I hardly saw them, yet they got all of the big moments and all of the small details! They were kind & fun to have around! In regards to the photographs, they speak for themselves! I never thought the bride and groom could be models until we got the photographs back from Clay Swanson! That says a lot about how well they captured such a lovely couple!

First of all, I don't write reviews, but I asked Clay if I could write one because I wanted everyone to see how amazing he did. You are not compromising on quality because of the prices. He truly wants for wedding photos to not be so expensive. His wife Maggie is absolutely precious and they were so much fun to work with. They love Jesus and it is very clear in their integrity and joy behind the camera. The day was so incredibly smooth because of how relaxed they were. I have never been good at taking candid pictures because I always knew where the photographer was. With Clay and Maggie I didn't even know they were there during the reception and ceremony. They were able to maneuver around to get the best shots. Maggie and Clay work so well together and complement each other. I COULDN'T BE ANY HAPPIER WITH MY PHOTOS. If you have any questions, please DM me because I was concerned in picking out a photographer, but after careful research chose Clay Swanson and I am so thankful I did.

I definitely don’t Recommend Clay Swanson Photography. They communicated poorly. My fiancé and I met them back in early November. We liked them, wanted to book them for our wedding. Everything was great, they sent us over the contract and everything. My fiancé and I found out our vendors had to have insurance coverage due to our venue policy. We emailed Swanson asking if they had it, no response. We few weeks go by I emailed again. Finally a response stating they don’t but they’ll get it for our day. I asked if I could do anything to help out please let me know! December comes around, nothing. January 1 comes and still nothing. I decided to email asking for an update to see if they found anything out. Nothing. I started to get really annoyed, you have a company and my fiancé and I are being so patient with you for the past few months and you can’t even respond to emails. All we wanted was a simple yes or no, we needed to know because it’s required, it is our special day. If you run a business, run it. That’s not how you run a business ignoring people who have been so patient. So I would give them a negative 5 stars if I could. I highly DON’T recommend.

Highly recommend Clay Swanson Photography! Clay and Maggie have photographed our engagement, elopement, reception, and most recently a session our 1 year anniversary! They are kind, and give great direction during photo shoots! During our elopement and reception it was great because it felt like they were guests. They made us feel comfortable enough to forget the camera was there, and got some amazing shots along the way. There is a reason we keep going back to them!

We've done 4 different shoots with them, and they are awesome! They're friendly, easy to work with, and make you feel comfortable. Plus their pictures are always really good. And they have fun and creative photo ideas.

I can not say enough good things about these two. With our engagement photos we wanted to do something a little different and they had never done anything like it before and they made it happen. The photos also turned out AMAZING I am in love with them. If you are Newley engaged and are looking to book a photographer book them now. Clay and Maggie are amazing! We loved working with them! They were very accommodating and even offered to come to Wichita to take engagement photos! They seriously worked around my crazy busy schedule and fit us in for engagement photos two weeks before they had their first child! And let our new puppy tag along! I can't speak more highly of anyone! Additionally, they made us feel very comfortable through every step in the process. I probably priced 30 photographers, but could find no one better than them! Clay even told me to do this during our initial meeting. They truly want the best for their clients! Hiring them was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding!

I knew from the minute that I met Clay and Maggie that I wanted them to be our wedding photographer, and I can't say enough good things about them. They actively communicated with my wonderful bride and I prior to our big day to ensure every moment was captured. Clay and Maggie are extraordinary! They are not only amazing people they are amazing photographers. I sat down in a meeting with them and told them exactly what photos I wanted and which ones I didn’t and they had absolutely not problem with that and they did such a good job! I married into a large family and sometimes family photographs aren’t the easiest. However, my mother and mother-in-law both still to this day comment on how quick and efficient Clay and Maggie were. They come prepared and know exactly what they are going to do. Their talent is undeniable and I will always go to them for any photography needs!

We are beyond grateful to have been able to work with Clay and Maggie! They're not only talented in what they do, but they are just overall great people! We chose the wedding package with came with a complimentary engagement shoot. With that, we got an hour and a half for the engagement shoot then both photographers all day for the wedding.
