Call me Matt! I attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where I studied photography. Prior to college, I grew up with photography as it has been the family business since the early 90's when our veteran photographer, John, started it all!
Since the 90's, our family has owned four separate studios across Northeast Ohio. We have recently re-branded and opened our brand new studio in Chagrin Falls. Over the years, our family has photographed nearly 2,000 weddings!
When you come in for a consult, you will be happily greeted by our client happiness manager, Hannah, our studio puppy!

Matthew helped save our day! Before our wedding, Matthew was in frequent communication about our day, setting expectations, and helping us plan. He was a great resource to have.
On the day of our wedding, he arrived a few hours before the ceremony to set up. When some unexpected weather hit, he pulled out some tents from his car to use as a shelter for musicians. He even gave the entire wedding party umbrellas to help us stay dry before the ceremony.
His creativity and expertise as a photographer is apparent. Between candid photos and posed portraits, he beautifully captured our special day. He used is creative eye to capture the essence of our wedding in ways that I could not have though of before. When I received our photo album, I was floored by the beauty and quality of his photographs. I could not recommend Matthew more - he helped capture our day in photographs that we will cherish always.

From our first meeting to receiving our engagement photos, CLE Weddings has provided us with a wonderful, seamless experience! Matthew was great to work with and provided us with nearly 360 beautiful photos the next day after our session! He listened to our requests and also had suggestions of his own as we tried to work with the lighting at the winery where our photos were taken. We are very much looking forward to CLE Weddings photographing our wedding this upcoming April!!

We booked CLE Weddings and couldn't have been happier with Matt. He was already walking around with his camera looking for the best spots for our engagement shoot when we arrived and he was very funny professional which helped break the ice and we appreciated that. Matthew and CLE weddings is amazing. In the beginning he was so sweet and patient ok the phone answering my 5000 questions. The price was amazing. Our engagement photoshoot was awesome. He is so creative and made both me and my husband feel super comfortable, which is a task because my husband hates pictures. We had so many amazing shots. They asked all the right questions to prepare us for the wedding, and the day of, he came so prepared and with excellent staff. The number and quality of the pictures were incredible. I cannot say enough amazing things about Matthew and I highly recommend booking with them.

Matthew was phenomenal! Our wedding pictures turned out beautifully, he was very easy to work with, and if we had to have a wedding all over again…we would choose him to photograph, without a doubt! If we could give 10 stars we would. Both our indoor and outdoor shots were outstanding in quality. He was very quick to get our photos back after our late November wedding - of course this can vary with work load in busy seasons, but we couldn’t be more pleased with all aspects of working with him.

I can describe my experience with Cleveland weddings with one word: flawless. From beginning to end they had excellent communication. Our concerns were addressed, no matter how small. Matthew and his photography partner guided us in the right direction and made sure our big day went off without a hitch. Matthew and his assistant were awesome! We ended up changing a few things last minute and paid and extra to have them stay longer - but it was so well worth it! They captured a lot of great moments and emotion and we received our digital photos pretty fast shortly after the honey moon (maybe less than 2 weeks)! I would Highly recommend CLE Weddings. Thanks for helping make wonderful memories of our special day!

If you want all the traditional photos make sure you list them under the family section of the survey. We could not be more happy with our photos! They made us feel so comfortable and they were great.

My husband and I hired Matt for our wedding on July 1 and we can't recommend him highly enough. He was both friendly and professional throughout the entire process, and got so many incredible shots - we are so grateful for his expertise. Our photos are absolutely beautiful, and they were finished within a week of the wedding! As a side note, but something important for many couples - we had a very nontraditional wedding with many of our trans and nonbinary friends in our combined wedding party, and Matt was positive and had no trouble rolling with our group. Thanks Matt!!

We found CLE Weddings on short notice after another company had to back out. Matthew was everything you'd want in a photographer for your special day; friendly, responsive, patient and professional. The wedding and evening reception were in two different venues, something he handled in stride. He accommodated all our requests; his photos reflected every event and detail of our special day so we can preserve the memories visually for years to come. The online photos were delivered extremely quickly. We highly recommend CLE Weddings!

From beginning to end, Matthew was amazing! He was always so easy to get ahold of prior to the wedding which is huge! The day of the wedding we knew he was there but he managed to capture moments that I had no idea about. We also booked the photo booth and if you’re on the fence, I 100% recommend it! Our guests loved it and so did we!

Simply great photos!
I just want to say that like most brides, went in to this planning process knowing the photos were going to be one of the most important keepsake’s from my wedding day. In fact, it was what I cared about the most second only to marrying the love of my life. CLE weddings did not disappoint. The turn around time until I had my photos was 2 weeks after my wedding day and the shots were well thought out and also spontaneous and surprising. They caught so many moments during the reception of my friends and family that I was simply unaware of and they are some of my favorite photos of the bunch. The day will go by so fast. Don’t settle, get a great photographer. Trust me, you will be glad you did. Big thanks to Matt from CLE ❤️

Just got our pictures back - so happy with our experience! We did a lot of research, and this was the place that could deliver quality wedding photos without breaking the bank. Matthew was excellent to work with, and was quite flexible in allowing us to craft our day in terms of photos. We did several locations and he accommodated the particular shots we wanted; even when rain made things difficult, Matthew and his team were kind enough to trudge through a monsoon and take many lovely shots. We got a ton of pictures back two weeks after our wedding and they are lovely - artfully captured and edited flawlessly. He has been kind and professional from start to finish, including dealing very gracefully with some difficult family members at my wedding. Thank you Matthew and team for helping us capture our day!

Matt did a great job on our wedding day! He was very professional and on time. He had great suggestions for photos during the planning process and did a great job leading our bridal party in pictures. He sent me couple photos day of the wedding and they are great--I can't wait to see how the rest of them turn out. Matt was very communicative and listened to the photos I wanted to have taken throughout the day. We did the photobooth as well which was a hit with our guests. We are so happy that we went with Matt, from CLE Weddings, to be the photographer for our daughters wedding. He captured the pageantry of the wedding ceremony but what struck us the most was how intimately he portrayed the event from behind the scenes. His approach was discrete as he was able to preserve the magic of the day. The photo booth at the reception was AMAZING!! They are worth the money - you get high resolution pictures, he edited every single one, you have printing rights (with the right package), and he just captures the most amazing things. Looking at where we were taking pictures, I didn't think they would be anything spectacular. But Matt is a professional who knows exactly what he's doing. Our pictures look stunning. Matt was awesome to work with! We just got our pictures back and I am obsessssedddd to say the least. I can’t stop looking at them. Our day was hott, High humidity, sun beating down on us, and a busy wedding day at our picture location. so we chose a shade spot which I had high anxiety about after because I was worried they would look weird. Matt did an awesome job editing it to make it look like the best spot in the park and they’re some of my favorite pics! He made a last minute request work and got some awesome shots of me and my pups and captured all the important moments I asked for. My only complaint is that we were late to our cocktail hour and had to skip our last location because pics took so long, which isn’t uncommon. Other than that they were great to work with And pics are gorgeous !!

My husband and I had booked another photographer who had to unfortunately cancel. Matt with CLE weddings was fantastic—quick, responsive, and tailored our experience exactly how we wanted it. Our wedding photos came out absolutely amazing! Where other photographers may snap a thousand pictures, Matt was judicious in selecting the best (which was exactly what we wanted!) We were married at a nature reservation and Matt made the best possible use of the scenery, taking us to several locations for portraits. He also gave a selection of black and white and color portraits, perfect for selecting the best fit for home decor. I have priceless, gorgeous memories to return to year after year. For a once in a lifetime experience, I wholeheartedly recommend CLE Weddings!

We had Matt photograph our wedding and we absolutely love the pictures that we got from the day! Matt has such a unique and artful way of framing a shot and develops with gorgeous color contrasts. In hindsight I wish we had opted for the second shooter as well. Reason being that while it is more expensive (obviously) you just get more variety of shot that way. Matt did a fantastic job of covering all the action (vows, dancing, band, etc) but bc he was busy with that there is really no photos of the people who came to celebrate with us that didn’t get up to dance. I think if you hire him definitely opt for the second shooter so there is someone to get the photos of grandma eating her cake and the cousins sitting around the table catching up. Overall we are very happy with the pictures we have. We are even going to order the fancy book and we are excited to see his layout of it!
