CMA was the most beautiful and memorable venue, and we are so lucky to have had the opportunity to get married there. Rachel Rosen was an absolute delight to work with, and she was incredibly accommodating to us. CMA has a list of preferred vendors that made it extraordinarily easy to select and book floral, photography, coordination, music, lighting, etc. Our wedding attendance was 200, so there was some initial hesitation that the space may feel too big and cold, but that was not the case at all. Good floral made the space feel intimate, and the acoustics were perfect. Our ceremony was on the South Terrace, which was truly breath-taking. The only thing to consider with CMA is the ceremony can begin at 6:30pm at the earliest, which was a bit later than a typical wedding timeline.
Our wedding at the Cleveland Museum of Art was truly wonderful! Rachel made the planning process such a breeze and we are so grateful for all she did to execute such a special day for us. The entire team at CMA is exceptional and the customer service experience is top notch. Everything on the wedding day went so smoothly, and the food was phenomenal - so many of our guests complimented the meal. Of course the venue itself is beyond stunning as is, but it truly sparkled with the Christmas decorations set up in the atrium. CMA is one of the best parts of Cleveland, and we are so grateful we could host our wedding there.
The CMA was a dream venue for our wedding. We looked at many venues around Cleveland kept coming back to the CMA - it really is Cleveland’s best. We had our ceremony and reception in the atrium with ~100 guests. We originally had a guest list of 250+ guests, but due to Covid we ended up with a much smaller guest list. Throughout our entire wedding planning process during Covid, the CMA was very accommodating and flexible. We initially worked with Elizabeth, the Director of Catering sales, and transitioned to Rachel. Both women were very helpful. If there is one thing I would change, I’d love for more flexibility in catering, especially for more authentic, multi-cultural options.
We had our wedding at the CMA in June 2021 and it was amazing! The venue is modern, clean and absolutely gorgeous. There is amazing natural light in the day and in the evening the lighting worked wonderfully. The acoustics were also amazing, something I worried about with such a big venue. Additionally Elizabeth is SUPERB!! We had an emergency wedding venue change due to an issue with our former venue and with only about a month or so notice she was able to work with our vendors and pull off such an amazing event. She was so easy to work with, responsible and exceptionally reliable!! She’s the only one I would ever recommend for a wedding. I was would give Elizabeth and the venue a hundred stars if I could:
CMA was an extraordinary wedding venue! The setting is stunning, the service is exceptional, and working with Elizabeth made the entire process so smooth and stress free. Could not recommend this more highly!
The CMA was such a beautiful venue for our wedding. Elizabeth and the team were so helpful throughout the wedding planning process and made sure everything ran smoothly. Planning a wedding end of pandemic was challenging but Elizabeth really stepped in and helped wherever she could. The services and options the museum provides for back up plans and other potential concerns is incredible and is something that a lot of the other venues in the area cannot provide. I would recommend considering the museum for your wedding and working with Elizabeth! She is great! We got married in June 2021.
Our daughter’s wedding in July 2021 at the Cleveland Museum of Art was truly stunning. The space is gorgeous and the staff are excellent. Elizabeth and her team were exceptional- very organized, professional, and kind which was especially appreciated as we had to postpone the wedding due to the pandemic. Having great food and wine was very important for us and the in-house catering under Provenance, Bon Appetit management and Chef Douglas Katz did not disappoint! So many of our guests raved about the food and said it was the best they’ve had at a wedding! I highly recommend the Cleveland Museum of Art!
CMA is one of the most beautiful places in Cleveland and we were so grateful to have had the opportunity to host our wedding there. It's photogenic already, so you don't need much decoration. I was incredibly impressed with the service we received from Bon Appetit catering, the food was every bit as good on the wedding day as it was during the tasting.
Special call out to our event coordinator, Elizabeth Coughlin who was incredible and really helped us put our special day together. She is amazing to work with and pays close attention to details. Sadly, we were her last wedding with CMA, but I am sure you’re in good hands if you choose to have your wedding there. It was beautiful!
Absolutely loved working with the CMA event staff. Not only is this venue incredibly beautiful- but even during a global pandemic, when short staffed, their team communicated effectively and performed everything exceptionally. Everything went so smoothly the day of our wedding, and our 250 guests had nothing but praises for the evening. The food is INCREDIBLE, our signature cocktail was such a hit I had to email them for the recipe, and every single employee was more than kind and extremely helpful. Absolutely recommend working with the CMA and their staff.
CMA is the most stunning venue in Cleveland! The atrium allows for many different layouts and options depending on how many guests you expect to have. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful- they truly made the day perfect for my husband and me. I couldn't imagine my wedding day any more special!
Although I’m obviously biased, this was the best venue choice we could have made. I’ve been in love with this building since I moved to the city but the staff really helped make it shine. They were so accommodating and made sure we had the best wedding ever. They talked with all our other vendors, kept everything on schedule, and picking this venue means your food, furniture, and cake are already taken care of. They also had a list of vendors as suggestions that made the whole planning process so easy. I cannot day enough positive things about this place. The coordinator, Elizabeth, is the kindest most hard working person and her attention to detail and warmth made our day the best of our lives.
CMA was a spectacular venue for our daughter's wedding. We had 265 guests and the space worked perfectly to have the ceremony and reception all in the Atrium. The Museum staff was expert, patient, helpful and gracious - they were a delight to work with. The food was delicious. Our guests from Cleveland and from other cities are raving about how wonderful the wedding was. CMA made all our dreams come true.
ATTENTION WINTER BRIDES: Absolutely stunning, unforgettable experience. If you're looking for the most glamorous, iconic place to get married in Cleveland, especially during the winter season, this is the venue for you. I'll never take for granted the feeling of being surrounded by priceless works of art on our wedding day, and the photographs were gorgeous. The food was outrageous, and we received compliment after compliment on how delicious dinner was. The best part of all? Elizabeth Coughlin. She will take care of you from start to finish. Elizabeth is highly communicative, considers every detail and is a true professional. We couldn't have been happier.
Our wedding experience at CMA in October 2018 was amazing from start to finish. There’s no venue more beautiful and the atrium felt intimate even with 110 guests. Food and drink were remarkably delicious, and the service was outstanding, from the banquet team to facilities. The best were Elizabeth, Jessica, and their events team colleagues, who made planning and all things day-of a breeze. We couldn’t be happier.
My wife and I were married at CMA just over a year ago and frequently look back on it as one of our most cherished memories. The planning was easy, the venue was beautiful, and the catering and drinks were to die for. One of the best parts of the whole experience, however, was Elizabeth and her team - they were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Elizabeth walked us through the whole process from start to finish and made sure everything went off without a hitch on the wedding day. If I could do it all again, I wouldn't change a thing!
The Cleveland Museum of Art provided a magical evening for my daughter and her husband. The entire experience from the planning to the tasting to the event itself was professionally done. We were able to enjoy the evening celebrating with family and friends without a care in the world. Elizabeth and her team listened, suggested, communicated, and gave us an amazing evening. People still tell us that her wedding was the most beautiful event they have ever attended. Great memories were made at the museum.
My husband and I got married at the Cleveland Museum of Art in July of 2016. Words truly cannot describe how wonderful our experience was. From the early stages of planning all the way to the final song of the night we felt so welcomed, taken care of, and cared about. The whole day and night went off without a flaw thanks to the expert team who worked tirelessly and passionately to make everything run smoothly. The Cleveland Museum of Art has always been my favorite location in all of Cleveland and it served as such a beautiful and unique place to celebrate our marriage. Our wedding would have been the most fun and beautiful day of our life no matter what, but I know that choosing the Cleveland Museum of Art truly made it unforgettable.
We had a wonderful wedding rehearsal dinner at CMA. Elizabeth and her team helped make the room look beautiful with suggestions for decor based on the couple’s desires.
The dinner and servers were amazing. Very attentive staff and special dinner. The bar staff was especially welcoming so all our guests were at ease and were able to enjoy the evening.
Most fun was the custom tour for our guests.
The event went well and I appreciate all the detail and execution by the CMA team.
Our wedding at the Cleveland Museum of Art a few weekends ago truly blew me away. The venue was absolutely stunning and it was, of course, thanks to the wonderful vendors and our families but Elizabeth was the glue holding it all together that day. From the first meeting with Elizabeth, to the food tasting a few weeks before and the actual day of the wedding everything exceeded my expectations and I have never seen such a beautiful event in my life. She made sure that everything was running smoothly and perfectly and I was so thankful to have her on site that day. I would strongly recommend CMA as a wedding venue to any couple interested, the memories of sharing that space with our guests will last me a lifetime.
Elizabeth and the rest of the team at Cleveland Museum of Art were easy to work with and my daughter's wedding exceeded any expectation that I had! I would recommend CMA to anybody looking for a beautiful venue. Memories for a lifetime!
Elizabeth is a dream to work with! She is one of the most professional, yet warm people I’ve ever met or worked with. Throughout the process I had some pretty high expectations and Elizabeth and team went above and beyond. Having our wedding at the Museum was a true pleasure and I’d recommend it to everyone that they consider it as a top choice for their special day!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Cleveland Museum of Art almost a year ago and we're still glowing about it. The experience was first class from the initial kick off meeting with Elizabeth until the very last steps danced on the dance floor. Elizabeth was professional and knowledgeable, creating a genuine friendship and partnership approach to planning. If you want a seamless experience, stunning ambiance, and a wedding your guests will talk about for years to come, this is THE venue in Cleveland.
Our wedding was a dream come true at the CLE Museum of Art!!! Thanks to the help of Elizabeth Coughlin and our team of vendors, we were able to plan the ultimate reception. Elizabeth was hands-on, detailed and a true pleasure to work with. My husband, family and I would highly recommend considering this venue for your event!
The Cleveland Museum of Art is hands down the best venue and staff in the city of Cleveland. Elizabeth Coughlin was the venue coordinator and I cannot glow enough about our wedding experience from start to finish. True professionals, delivering 5 star experience.
The Cleveland Museum of Art was THE PERFECT VENUE for our wedding! The atrium was an amazing backdrop for vibrant lighting, music and laughter. In addition to the perfect location we had the most wonderful help from Elizabeth Atchley Coughlin! She was impeccable with the execution of our special day. Her "go get em" attitude mix with southern hospitality really helped to put our minds at ease. We trusted her implicitly with our wedding. Thanks to the CMA and Elizabeth we will have wonderful memories of this important day for the rest of our lives.
Sincerely,
Matt and Steve
The Rehearsal Dinner for our son's July 1, 2017 wedding was held in the Cleveland Museum of Art. The Museum Staff was outstanding with both attention to detail in planning as well as in execution. The food was excellent. Vendor suggestions were appreciated. We found for both creativity and fair pricing: Luna Bakery (Brynn Keefe) & Flowerville (Michael Day) were superior. Brynn created the MOST beautiful Palm Tree Cake for the groom's cake and Michael Day's tropical arrangements and detailing were fantastic! We provided a knight in shining armor, maiden, and micro orchids for the top of the Palm Tree cake. Michael Day adorned a card-board "castle" with orchids for the young guests to enjoy during the cocktail hour and after dinner. We had medieval clothing for the young children that they enjoyed, as well.
Guests toured the museum before the cocktail hour during which Este Jazz quietly performing. One of the museum tour guides was selected specifically for his interest in young children. We had three guided tours so guests could join a tour as they arrived.
Peak Moments photographer David Petkiewicz captured the evening in photos during the cocktail hour and as guests were welcomed at dinner.
The Museum's Social Catering Sales Manager Elizabeth Atchley Coughlin professionally assisted with planning and execution of the entire event. She welcomed the many details we included for our "Knight in Shinning Armor" medieval Rehearsal Dinner. The Museum store "Knight" notecards in red, black, gold and silver were used for the invitations. Postcards of the Museum's image were used for the R.s.v.p. We were delighted to support the museum and feature their Armory throughout the evening. Orchids and tropicals were used everywhere as our family is from Florida. Many Medieval items figures, armor, veils for the flowergirls & bride were sourced at Atlanta's Medieval Times. The Museum staff folded all the napkins as beautiful crowns on which orchids were placed for the ladies.
The over-the-top efforts of Elizabeth Coughlin and her Associates to plan, execute and coordinate with all the vendors we used was fantastic! Even the security associates were extremely helpful before and after the event. The view out the beautiful large windows was lovely.
Perfect venue - professional staff - excellent guidance & execution - memorable evening for all.
Choosing the Cleveland Museum of Art as the venue for our daughter’s wedding was a simple decision since there are few, if any, local venues that rival the magnificence and beauty of the CMA. Although it was a small wedding, Elizabeth Coughlin and her team at Bon Appetit worked their magic so the entire evening felt intimate and elegant. Without the assistance of a wedding planner, I worked directly with Elizabeth who meticulously coordinated and oversaw every aspect of the evening (including being present the evening) from coordination of the clergy, musicians, florists and pastry chef to placing the bride and groom’s favorite “donut favors” at each place setting. Every detail was executed flawlessly which enabled everyone to thoroughly enjoy the evening. The CMA was not only a beautiful venue for our daughter’s wedding, but thanks to Elizabeth and her team, a beautiful experience as well!
Elizabeth and her team at CMA were fantastic to work with in planning my son's wedding. The venue is beautiful, the food is excellent and everything went smoothly, thanks to the experience and professionalism of the SMA staff.
In planning my son's wedding, Elizabeth and her team were magnificent! Throughout the planning process, they were extremely helpful and were always quick to respond to my emails and calls whenever I needed them. On the day of the wedding, Elizabeth easily worked with our 20+ vendors to make the entire night run smoothly for our 500 guests. It was truly a night to remember! I highly recommend Elizabeth and her team at the Cleveland Museum of Art. They're wonderful and an absolute pleasure to work with!!
We were very fortunate to welcome our guests at the CMA in August 2018 for our daughter’s wedding. From the first moment we met Elizabeth and saw the venue, we knew this was the only place to have the wedding! I can’t say enough about the beauty and grace of our art museum! The atrium is stunning and grand! The catering is famous for its delicious food and impeccable service! Perhaps, all these were expected, but, what was unexpected was the level of professionalism and support from Elizabeth. She went above and beyond to accommodate every wish we had - and we had a few very unusual wishes on our list. Elizabeth mastered between different vendors we worked with smoothly and effortlessly. Our daughter and our son in law told us that the wedding was a dream! We are still receiving thank you cards from the out-of-towners, thanking us for hosting the wedding in such a magnificent place. As one guest says: “You put Cleveland on the map...”. There are not enough words to describe how happy we are to have chosen the CMA for our wedding. I do want to say that when my husband and I returned to the CMA two weeks after the wedding, we saw Elizabeth getting ready to prepare for another wedding. We hugged and thanked her again and we knew that at that very moment another couple would have their dream wedding there! And we knew that they were in good hands!
My husband and I were married at the CMA this past May, and we had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, service superb, and the setting was, of course, gorgeous. We loved working with the event coordinator on staff, Elizabeth -- she walked us through the planning from very early in the process, helping us make key decisions and stay on track with coordinating all the details, and she made us feel assured that everything would go smoothly the day of. We couldn't be happier!
We had our wedding at the Cleveland Museum of Art in August, and could not be happier with the day. From the beginning of the planning process, Elizabeth and the team worked very well with us and understood the challenges of working with a bride who lives across the country. The team's attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and genuinely positive attitude made the planning much easier and the outcome spectacular. Also, Elizabeth's strong relationship with Cleveland's wedding vendors helped in planning and execution throughout the process.
As for the site, there is nothing like an event at the CMA. The overall environment is stunning - particularly when the sun begins to set and the light pours in through the atrium. As a bride who initially wanted an outdoor wedding, this was the best compromise possible.
We could not be happier with our day, and would strongly recommend the CMA to any bride or groom.
We had our wedding at The Cleveland Museum of Art last year. The venue is so absolutely beautiful and the coordinators implemented our plan to perfection. There’s nowhere else to get married in Cleveland!!! Beautiful atrium, indoor/outdoor type vibe
The team at the Cleveland Museum of Art was a dream to work with. Elizabeth made the process so easy and flawless. She kept us informed every step of the way and set up meetings that were convenient for my daughter to attend since she was living in NYC at the time. The venue is absolutely the most beautiful place to have a wedding, from the grounds to the amazing atrium. The food, bar service and all vendors she recommended were fantastic. We even had a guest video the servers because they did it with such precision. The food was hot and delicious. My daughter’s wedding was the most beautiful, fun, and memorable event. I highly recommend Elizabeth and the team at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Planning a wedding from across the country (I currently live in SF, CA) was an overwhelming task, until I met Elizabeth at CMA, who went above and beyond to simplify the planning and made sure that everything was executed seamlessly. She was so flexible with my schedule and put in extra time to help us lock in details that I couldn't have done myself being in California. We had a very large wedding and the CMA staff handled all of the details perfectly. The venue really blew our guests away, particularly out of towners, who couldnt believe how amazing the Atrium and the CMA was in general. The food was perfect.
We had an amazing experience and the final outcome was exactly what we wanted! I would highly recommend having a wedding there, particularly if you get the opportunity to work with Elizabeth - could not have done this without her!
Having grown up in Cleveland, it was important to me to find a venue in my hometown for our wedding even though we are now based in NYC. After meeting with Elizabeth and the team at Cleveland Museum of Art, we know it would be the perfect place for our wedding. Over two years later, our guests still comment on what a beautiful venue we had, many of whom traveled from the east coast to be with us on our special day. Elizabeth bent over backwards to make sure it was a special and stress free day, helping us craft special touches to personalize our reception. She went beyond mere coordination and was really helpful with various selections and brainstorming creative options. Highly recommend working with Elizabeth and CMA for your wedding!
We could not have asked for a more stunning venue for our wedding, nor could we have had a more pleasant experience coordinating with a venue team. Elizabeth and her team at CMA were truly wonderful to work with and helped to make sure that our wedding a success. Our guests are still raving about the gorgeous setting as well as the delicious food and drinks. I am definitely biased, but it was the best wedding food I have ever had! This is truly one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Cleveland and I cannot recommend it enough.
