Fall at the LodgeReviewed on 11/24/2012 Maureen L
Cliffside is a little pricey but we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. Our guests loved the atmosphere and felt warm and invited. The place is so beautiful that you don't need a lot of decorations.
Cliffside weekendReviewed on 11/04/2011 Jennifer N
The Cliffside lodge was a beautiful place to have a wedding especially for outdoors enthusiasts. We loved all of the wood work, the fireplace, the balcony, the chandeliers. It had a very outdoorsy but romantic feeling to it. It was a little pricey, but we got to have our rehearsal dinner there the night before, the wedding ceremony and reception, and have a place for 20 of us to stay following the reception so that we didn't have to drive anywhere. Very convenient. The ceremony site could've been set-up differently. the benches were provided, but it was difficult for the older guests to get outside, and the benches were positioned at the same height while the ceremony was lower so many guests could not see us during the ceremony. Pictures turned out beautiful because of the gorgeous setting. We were also allowed to take pictures down at a small lake on site which also made for wonderful pictures. It is perfect for a smaller wedding, but I hated seating some of our guests upstairs and having the bar upstairs in order to have enough space. The catering service was not included and you are required to purchase insurance for the lodge which I think is very unprofessional. The lodge manager was not very cordial and unwelcoming. All in all, the overall experience was more positive than negative, but the quality of service could be much better.

The cliffside lodge gave us the perfect setting for our summer camp/ rustic wedding. The natural wood and open spaces gave us the perfect feeling with little need for extravagant decorations. The extended time frame offered by the venue made it possible for us to keep our party going all night long with friends and family who traveled a long distance for our special day. Our guest continue to rave about our venue and we have had an endless trail of phone calls and letters from guests who were absolutely taken away by the beauty of this location.
