We loved holding our whole wedding weekend at Cliffview Resort. I honestly don’t even know where to begin! Everything about this venue was excellent. The coordinator was incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating. The catering company this venue uses was absolutely amazing, the food was delicious and exceeded our expectations completely! We began working with Meredith, and she was an absolute joy to work with. When everything changed hands and we switched to working with Kathi, we always felt taken care of and valued! I will sing Kathi’s praises to everyone who will listen, she was a pure joy! We rented the entire lodge for the weekend so guests and the bridal party would have places to get ready on Saturday, and so we could hold our welcome party on Friday evening. Lots of our guests also booked cabins through RRG Cabins and it was like a little summer camp, everyone had so much fun! The lodge was more than accommodating, ensuring everything was set up efficiently, and the rooms were very clean. We loved the innkeeper as well, a true delight to work with, even with a rambunctious crowd. :) We rented the reception hall for the entire weekend as well, and I was floored by how helpful and responsive the entire Cliffview team was for us. They helped us get lights up, get cars unloaded, and set some things up! I will never forget working with everyone at Cliffview Resort. Our wedding weekend was absolutely everything we could have ever wanted. The trees were PERFECT just in time for this weekend so the scenery and views are something all of our guests still talk about 8 months later. If you are looking to make a fun weekend in the Gorge with all of your guests, definitely consider Cliffview Resort! They are a fantastic team to have on your special day!

ot out of our cars at the overlook, we knew it is where we wanted to get married. The view can’t be beat. The reception hall is beautiful as well! Already built in lantern lighting, and gorgeous bridal suite, plenty of parking, and extra rooms sold us. From the moment we booked to the day we left, the Cliffview staff was incredible. We loved the amount of freedom we had while still having their help when needed. People kept saying it was the best wedding they had been to. Thank you Cliffview for making our day so perfect. I highly recommend this venue to EVERYONE especially those looking for a beautiful outdoor view.

d reception at Cliffview. The reception was held at their reception hall a.k.a activities building. The building is gorgeous by itself and doesn't really need much if any decoration. The Cliffview staff were very responsive to my questions and they initiated contact themselves several times just to check on us. The staff also moved and set up the provided chairs for the ceremony. We had a few issues with Cliffview and some of them may be mostly related to reserving the place during a holiday weekend. Sundays are not cheaper on holiday weekends. We only reserved the space for Sunday instead of the whole weekend. There was confusion about what ceremony site that we had reserved. Apparently certain buildings are attached to different ceremony sites. We didn't discover this until two months before the wedding. And even if the other ceremony sites are not reserved, you can't choose to have your ceremony at another site. The same is true for rehearsing as well. We asked if we could rehearse the day before the wedding at our ceremony site and we were told that we would have to pay a huge fee to do so even though we would only need it for an hour and it wasn't already reserved. We also inquired about renting the huge dining room at the lodge for a rehearsal dinner and were told that we would have to rent out the whole lodge to have access to the dining room. We had already rented the reception hall. We didn't have a private separate room to get ready in but used the bathrooms of the reception hall. We could have rented a cabin to stay in but since it was a holiday weekend that meant a minimum 3 day stay which becomes very pricey. All in all, gorgeous area and buildings, but lots of restrictions and a nickel and dime attitude/feel.

ally appreciate it and are glad you enjoyed the staff, the venue and the Red River Gorge area. We really work hard to provide a value for what we offer. We certainly don't want to come off as a “nickel and dime” attitude and feel and I am sorry that you felt that way. That is certainly not our intent and our goal is to be as accommodating as we can. We highly encourage people to come on site and get a complimentary guided tour of our whole facility. This allows us to explain and for our customer to see all of our venues and what can be rented separately and what is rented together before they make a decision. Although many of the things we do have been developed over years and were put in place so that we can make sure our bride and groom’s special day goes off perfectly, we are constantly evaluating to make sure we provide the best guest experience we can. Your feedback is helpful to us and we do review it as a team so that we can continually improve and modify what we do where needed. I will also reach out to you by PM. Thanks again, Blake

d pricing is upfront, which was something we had questions about when touring other venues. They have many choices from indoor and outdoor ceremony options, lodging, and reception spaces. You will be surprised at how reasonable the prices are and there is something available for even our modest budget! We have toured four other venues in eastern Kentucky and looked at spaces for the same price that were in no way comparable to this breathtaking space. We will be putting our deposit down asap and cannot wait to work with these kind people on our special day! What an experience, especially for our out of town Guests. Definitely check these guys out!

. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding. I loved it so much and everyone working there was always so helpful and quickly responded to any questions I had. I wish I could relive the day over and over. Thank you Cliffview staff for helping make my day a dream come true!

The reception venue was included in the price for the total lodge rental. The innkeepers at the Lodge were very helpful and were great throughout the weekend we were there. However...

, the Cliffview Resort itself was not as pleasant to work with. Every time we spoke with them on the phone about arrangements, it was always someone new that we were dealing with. Even though we were paying them thousands of dollars they were not willing to be flexible with the time to which we would be able to have access to the conference center.
