Clos LaChance Winery is an elegant wedding venue in San Martin, California. Couples will be surrounded by rolling hills at this family-owned and operated winery, only 30 minutes from Silicon Valley. They offer amazing views of their grape vineyards on their 100-acre estate. Clos LaChance Winery provides event coordinators to ensure your special day is unforgettable.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples can accommodate up to 200 guests at this intimate venue. They offer multiple settings for your day to flow smoothly from start to finish. Guests will arrive through a gorgeous garden featuring a whimsical fountain and ivy-covered entrance. Then, they will make their way to the Grand Lawn. As you exchange your vows, you'll have their vineyards and Hayes Valley, studded with oak trees, as your backdrop. For cocktail hour, guests will move to Mulberry Grove. Dinner will take place under the stars on the Grand Terrace. Finally, you'll be able to dance the night away in the Grand Salon.

This full-service venue has been a part of the wedding industry since 2002. Each couple will use the winery for eight and a half hours, including setup and teardown. Their wedding packages contain a dance floor, tables, chairs, paper parasols, and umbrellas. Additional services include:

* We fell in love with Clos LaChance Vineyards (now CordeValle Winery) the moment we stepped onto property. We were looking for a winery wedding venue that could host up...
to 200 guests and where you could see vineyards from the ceremony and/or reception site; Clos has exactly that plus a golf course view! Our tour with Kristin Murphy ended with some wine tasting, both red and white.
* Pre-Wedding
* Kristin was incredible to work with! We had a lot of questions during the wedding planning process and she always had answers! Kristin was quick to respond via email and very accommodating when it came to special requests. Something that can’t go unnoticed was her expertise in the wedding industry and how knowledgeable she is to the property.
* Wedding Day
* The Clos LaChance event staff took care of everything day of wedding. They set up all of our signage in the exact location we asked for it to be placed. They placed our appetizers at our sweetheart table since we weren’t able to join Cocktail Hour. Not only did they take good care of us and our guests, the food that Chef Lu cooked was delicious (although we knew this coming out of the food tasting).

* We would highly recommend Clos LaChance to anyone looking to host an elegant wedding.

My Daughter was married here on July 16th of this year. The venue is absolutely beautiful and so lovely having the three distinct areas on property for ceremony, cocktail hour and...
dinner.
We chose to have outdoor dancing (pandemic), but the indoor space for dancing is a beautiful space as well. Kristin was very helpful with prompt responses by e-mail. The bridal suite couldn't have been more lovely...I definitely recommend: ordering food from Clos for the bridal suite and groomsmen cave...it was delicious! Also recommend using preferred vendors from their list.... Bloomsters and Sound in Motion DJ Services (Raffi) were fantastic. Only suggestions I might have are to ask about placing some type of sun screening (sails) over the bridal party during the ceremony. It was a sweltering day and all the bridesmaids were squinting and unbearably hot. I think some type of canopy could easily be arranged.
Also, be sure that the sound is loud enough for guests to hear the speeches. We were told later that some were not clearly heard
by those at the more distant tables.

an't stop talking about it. Kristin at Clos is super easy going and delightful to work with. All of the staff was so happy and accommodating and it really made the day so low-stress and enjoyable.
The wine is also fantastic! My husband and I are excited to visit Clos for a tasting on our anniversaries over the coming years.

They have been so wonderful during this insane time to plan a wedding. After three date changes and even cancelling one time to end up rebooking, they were always there to help.
The food is amazing through Cellar Door Catering and we had many people tell us how good it was afterwards. The bridal suite is perfect to spend the day getting ready in. Couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. Thank you Clos!

were very understanding, very responsive, and provided great suggestions/recommendations when needed. When rain threatened the day, they were not only optimistic, but had a phenomenal and creative back-up plan to the point where I could've cared less if it rained. The food was absolutely incredible, the tasting was a fun pre-wedding event. We took a few friends and had a great time. We could not believe how wonderful the food scaled up for all our guests-the chef and his crew did an amazing job. They were one of the reasons I feel like I got my fairytale. Both ladies are fabulous and so helpful. Hope made the day so stress free for me. It was amazing. My original complaint was that you had to use their approved caterers and there were only 3. We did vegetarian only food so we really wanted delicious options. In the end we went with their in house catering, and honestly the food was so good that in the end I had no complaints at all.

It has everything right there on site, including a huge bridal suite that you can use the day of the wedding to get ready. And the staff was amazing, Michelle is great to work with on the wedding details and makes you feel at ease, leading up to and on the wedding day, she knows her stuff! And Kristin was so helpful with the food, we ended up using "The Cellar Door" catering right there on site not only was it a smart decision the food was great! al if you're looking for an outdoor ceremony/reception combo for 200 guests. We initially hoped for a Napa venue but there are WAY too many restrictions out there. Clos is 25mins drive south of the San Jose airport with reasonable hotels within 10 minutes drive (in Morgan Hill). The venue makes for the most beautiful atmosphere all day- very warm during the day with the sunlight changing throughout the event. All of our guests raved about this venue throughout the day and even a month afterwards! The photos have turned out beautifully and as the bride, I was very very calm. The bridal suite of the winery building is incredibly large and spacious and provides a nice place to relax while getting ready. Michele helped keep my dad calm (he was the most nervous!) while seeing that everything ran smoothly throughout the event. We had a traditional Indian wedding with a more American style reception and this venue was absolute perfection for it. I would recommend Clos LaChance to any bride/groom looking for a beautiful, secluded setting for their wedding that also is convenient for out-of-towners, and don't be shy if you're doing a destination wedding from quite far! The thing to keep in mind is that the setting is so beautiful that you can cut back on the extravagance of your decor and let the beauty of the surroundings do the work for you. Also, spring for the extra heat lamps and the string lights- these were SO worth the cost.

was very hot in the afternoon since we got married in September which is the hottest month in San Martin, but it still was absolutely amazing. Our wedding coordinator there, Michele, was so professional and good at her job, it took so much stress off of us. This was the first venue we looked at and none of the other ones after it compared, we had to use Clos LaChance and we are so happy we did!
