* Tour
* We fell in love with Clos LaChance Vineyards (now CordeValle Winery) the moment we stepped onto property. We were looking for a winery wedding venue that could host up...
to 200 guests and where you could see vineyards from the ceremony and/or reception site; Clos has exactly that plus a golf course view! Our tour with Kristin Murphy ended with some wine tasting, both red and white.
* Pre-Wedding
* Kristin was incredible to work with! We had a lot of questions during the wedding planning process and she always had answers! Kristin was quick to respond via email and very accommodating when it came to special requests. Something that can’t go unnoticed was her expertise in the wedding industry and how knowledgeable she is to the property.
* Wedding Day
* The Clos LaChance event staff took care of everything day of wedding. They set up all of our signage in the exact location we asked for it to be placed. They placed our appetizers at our sweetheart table since we weren’t able to join Cocktail Hour. Not only did they take good care of us and our guests, the food that Chef Lu cooked was delicious (although we knew this coming out of the food tasting).
* Overall
* We would highly recommend Clos LaChance to anyone looking to host an elegant wedding.
* Clos LaChance will always have a special place in our hearts. We look forward to our future visits reminiscing the best day of our lives along with a glass of 22 Pirates Red Blend and Reserve Chardonnay.
Forever grateful,
Iannick and Kelby
My Daughter was married here on July 16th of this year. The venue is absolutely beautiful and so lovely having the three distinct areas on property for ceremony, cocktail hour and...
dinner.
We chose to have outdoor dancing (pandemic), but the indoor space for dancing is a beautiful space as well. Kristin was very helpful with prompt responses by e-mail. The bridal suite couldn't have been more lovely...I definitely recommend: ordering food from Clos for the bridal suite and groomsmen cave...it was delicious! Also recommend using preferred vendors from their list.... Bloomsters and Sound in Motion DJ Services (Raffi) were fantastic. Only suggestions I might have are to ask about placing some type of sun screening (sails) over the bridal party during the ceremony. It was a sweltering day and all the bridesmaids were squinting and unbearably hot. I think some type of canopy could easily be arranged.
Also, be sure that the sound is loud enough for guests to hear the speeches. We were told later that some were not clearly heard
by those at the more distant tables.
Overall...a wonderful experience and event!!
Clos was a dream! The venue is gorgeous and hardly needs any decor to look amazing. The food was outstanding, best wedding food we've ever had! Our guests absolutely loved it and c...
an't stop talking about it. Kristin at Clos is super easy going and delightful to work with. All of the staff was so happy and accommodating and it really made the day so low-stress and enjoyable.
The wine is also fantastic! My husband and I are excited to visit Clos for a tasting on our anniversaries over the coming years.
Can't say enough good things, seriously!
The most beautiful place to have a wedding. From driving in and seeing the rows of vineyards to walking in and seeing the gorgeous building, terrace, view, the mulberry grove, the ...
list goes on and on! ... and as a bonus-there are already so many flowers.!! (helps save on that floral budget!) The wedding coordinators Kristin and Hope are amazing! They have been so wonderful during this insane time to plan a wedding. After three date changes and even cancelling one time to end up rebooking, they were always there to help.
The food is amazing through Cellar Door Catering and we had many people tell us how good it was afterwards. The bridal suite is perfect to spend the day getting ready in. Couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. Thank you Clos!
Loved everything about this venue! You don’t need much decorations because the winery is beautiful. The wine and food is amazing. The staff are very helpful and considerate. The br...
idal room is very spacious and homey. My wedding was everything I wanted it to be. Love this place!
Clos LaChance was our picturesque venue for our wedding. They were wonderful to work with. Both Kristin and Hope were well organized and took all the pressure off the day of. They ...
were very understanding, very responsive, and provided great suggestions/recommendations when needed. When rain threatened the day, they were not only optimistic, but had a phenomenal and creative back-up plan to the point where I could've cared less if it rained. The food was absolutely incredible, the tasting was a fun pre-wedding event. We took a few friends and had a great time. We could not believe how wonderful the food scaled up for all our guests-the chef and his crew did an amazing job. They were one of the reasons I feel like I got my fairytale. You will not be disappointed.
First of all this winery is absolutely beautiful! I loved that the site had different zones for various parts of the wedding, i.e. ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing. It also...
provided tables and chairs which was awesome. We worked with Michelle for planning/coordinating leading up to the wedding and then Hope did our day of coordinating. Both ladies are fabulous and so helpful. Hope made the day so stress free for me. It was amazing. My original complaint was that you had to use their approved caterers and there were only 3. We did vegetarian only food so we really wanted delicious options. In the end we went with their in house catering, and honestly the food was so good that in the end I had no complaints at all.
If you are looking for an outdoor location this place can not be beat. I looked at a lot of wedding venues with my daughter and this was by far the best choice for her in the bay a...
rea. She wanted an outdoor ceremony and reception all in one place, and Clos LaChance fit the bill to a "T". It has everything right there on site, including a huge bridal suite that you can use the day of the wedding to get ready. And the staff was amazing, Michelle is great to work with on the wedding details and makes you feel at ease, leading up to and on the wedding day, she knows her stuff! And Kristin was so helpful with the food, we ended up using "The Cellar Door" catering right there on site not only was it a smart decision the food was great! We can't say enough about Clos LaChance they were amazing all the way around and so accommodating, we feel like part of the family!
Just as I've always dreamed! It was perfect! My parents are wine club members & so I always knew once I saw the winery I had to get married there! & I did! :) can't say enough abou...

Michelle! She's wonderful! She holds the whole day together! No tie-ups! The day was simply perfect!
My wedding was on June 15th, 2013 at the Clos LaChance winery. All of the arrangements were coordinated with Michele Swensen, the event coordinator of the winery. This place is ide...
al if you're looking for an outdoor ceremony/reception combo for 200 guests. We initially hoped for a Napa venue but there are WAY too many restrictions out there. Clos is 25mins drive south of the San Jose airport with reasonable hotels within 10 minutes drive (in Morgan Hill). The venue makes for the most beautiful atmosphere all day- very warm during the day with the sunlight changing throughout the event. All of our guests raved about this venue throughout the day and even a month afterwards! The photos have turned out beautifully and as the bride, I was very very calm. The bridal suite of the winery building is incredibly large and spacious and provides a nice place to relax while getting ready. Michele helped keep my dad calm (he was the most nervous!) while seeing that everything ran smoothly throughout the event. We had a traditional Indian wedding with a more American style reception and this venue was absolute perfection for it. I would recommend Clos LaChance to any bride/groom looking for a beautiful, secluded setting for their wedding that also is convenient for out-of-towners, and don't be shy if you're doing a destination wedding from quite far! The thing to keep in mind is that the setting is so beautiful that you can cut back on the extravagance of your decor and let the beauty of the surroundings do the work for you. Also, spring for the extra heat lamps and the string lights- these were SO worth the cost.
Everything was absolutely perfect at CLC for our October 7th wedding. The weather, the atmosphere, the ambiance, everything! It's such a gorgeous spot and Michelle Swensen is the...
perfect person to have around to make sure your day goes smoothly :)
My husband and I love this place for so many reasons, Michele the wedding coordinator being the top!! We are also wine club members which helped a ton. Love this place!!!
The venue was beautiful and the service I received was great. Michele the coordinator was very attentive to all my needs. I would recommend this venue to any bride.
Seriously, my husband and I couldn't be happier with this place. Not only was our wedding BEAUTIFUL in every photo. But the way it is set up, everyone had such a great time! It ...
was very hot in the afternoon since we got married in September which is the hottest month in San Martin, but it still was absolutely amazing. Our wedding coordinator there, Michele, was so professional and good at her job, it took so much stress off of us. This was the first venue we looked at and none of the other ones after it compared, we had to use Clos LaChance and we are so happy we did!
This winery is amazing and although it's in the south bay, I found that it beat out all the Livermore and Sonoma/Napa venues. The main thing is that when this winery was built 11 y...
ears ago, they intended it to be a wedding venue, so the flow of the ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner/dancing was VERY well planned!!! Everything is GORGEOUS and the venue includes a day-of coordinator. I had Michele and she was fantastic!!! Totally took over any last minute problems and made our special day amazing :)
I can't rave enough about this place!
Fantastic place to get married! The scenery was to die for and the staff was great!
Gorgeous backdrop spoke for itself, outside, cozy, terrace, great area for cocktails in middle of vineyards
