We’re still hearing raving reviews about how talented they were—people couldn’t stop dancing, and the setlist was perfectly curated to keep everyone on the floor. We had originally contemplated doing a photo booth, but we’re so glad we didn’t—no one wanted to leave the dance floor, including us! We also want to shout out the incredibly talented pianist and guitarist who played during our ceremony and cocktail hour. They created the perfect ambiance and made those moments feel so special and personal. The MC was absolutely amazing, guiding the night flawlessly and keeping everything flowing smoothly—truly helped make the evening stress-free and fun for everyone. On top of all that, they handled the uplighting too. When we realized we’d chosen the wrong color, they immediately switched it without hesitation, which made such a difference in setting the perfect mood. Despite the power still being out for the first two hours of our reception, Closing Time delivered. They were incredibly professional throughout and the live music was absolutely phenomenal. They were very easy to work with and said yes to all of our requests. That included assistance editing a song for the ceremony and most importantly, allowing one of us to play a song with the band. They helped us organize the timing for when the groom would play and it was a crazy surprise for the guests and went so well. That is one of our favorite moments from the entire day and they made it happen. We also provided a few must plays and several other preferred songs. They built a song list around our preferences and it felt very much like us. They have depth and range and clearly rehearse as you can tell from the transitions between songs and the flow of the sets. It shows so much in how great they sound and how smoothly things flow. They were fantastic. The band was absolutely one of the top two things we received the most compliments on.

I want to make it clear that we didn't even hear Closing Time Boston in person before the wedding! We just booked them based off of reviews, Youtube videos and Instagram. Of course, this was a little nerve wracking for us, not hearing the band play live beforehand. First moment of amazement came during the ceremony. The pianist played unique songs that we requested (a Blink 182 song, an Aerosmith song and an Avicii song). We were blown away by how amazing he was! The songs sounded absolutely beautiful. Next when we heard the singing that began during the cocktail hour and dinner, we instantly knew that we made the right choice. Lastly, the reception, the whole band really brought the party. They played the PERFECT music that got everyone dancing for the entire night, including my mom who typically picky with the music she dances to at weddings! We made sure to ask Ryan during our phone conversation to play all genres of music that will ensure all age groups will dance the night away. They truly made that vision come true.
