Hi there, I’m Homer Horowitz! I’m a commercial, lifestyle, and wedding photographer based in Burlington, VT and shooting anywhere my camera takes me. When planning your wedding, you're not shopping for photography, you're shopping for a photographer. Their personality should be equally as important as their ability to take incredible photographs. I'm a romantic, fun-loving and energetic artist who's made a career of documenting life-changing events through the lens of my camera. My style of photography could be described as editorial and falls between traditional and photojournalistic. In other words, I like to capture real moments set in incredible environments. When I'm not taking pictures, I'm playing with my Boston Terrier, Potato, or riding in the mountains. ice cream you've ever had. He is fun, creative, enthusiastic and took absolutely amazing photos at our wedding. He asked tons of questions before the wedding in order to pinpoint our style and then delivered an amazing group of photos. I (bride) was nervous for the photography element of our wedding because I knew I wanted someone to truly capture the feeling of our wedding in a way that felt authentic to us (don’t we all?). Throughout our wedding Homer was so efficient and communicative. He took charge when needed and fit right into our celebration with ease chatting with guests, swirling around to capture the best moments and stayed late to capture the final party dance. He even helped to fix our dancefloor at one point! We were blown away with Homer before we even got our pictures and my goodness, when we received our gallery, jaws hit the floor! What we didn’t even expect were all of the little ways Homer went the extra mile and the absolute openness and adventurous spirit he brought to our wedding. Like many couples we were on plan C or D by the time we got married this past September and when we switched from our Vermont location to Cape Cod, Homer was willing To travel the six hours each way. Every step of the way he had great ideas, was open to our suggestions and vision.

ddings this year because of COVID-19 and the one constant we made sure to always keep was having Homer as our photographer. In an extremely stressful year to plan a wedding, Homer gave us peace of mind. He was there sending hopeful and caring emails and stayed on the phone with us multiple times to help go over every detail. On our wedding day he had this magical way of blending into the background and becoming part of the family all at once. Everyone was singing Homer’s praises the next morning.
The photographs we have of our wedding are honestly too good! We haven’t printed any yet because we can’t decide which ones to frame – we love them all! Homer was able to capture so many natural moments that brought out all the emotions everyone was feeling. My stepmom has announced that she’s turning the house into a gallery with all the photos!
Homer’s work speaks for itself and we can vouch that he is fun, down to earth, laid backed, and a true professional. You’d be nuts not to have him photograph your wedding!

hly recommend. It's a great ice breaker for everyone, we took time to get to know each other for a little and by the day of the wedding it was like having our friend there to photograph for us. Homer concentrates on candid moments, which is what drew us to him in the first place. We are humans! Not stiff cardboard cutouts who are eternally in uncomfortable poses. It was so relieving to find a photographer who cared about the little moments throughout our wedding day just as much as getting good family photos. Homer could charge ten times the amount and we still would have picked him now that we know what he can deliver. Thanks to their experience and expertise, by the 5th photo, I felt relaxed beautiful bride, rather than an awkward woman-child trying to adult. You can tell each of them really loves the process and being part of this special time in a couple's life.
We received photos in record time. I was in shock, my fiance looked AWAKE and I didn't look like I was having a nervous break down. Magic I tell you. I am happy with the variety of photos as well! Viewing, printing, and sharing photos with friends and family was really easy. Lastly, we found pricing to be very reasonable and making a payment online was easy!

When we met with him the first time, we immediately connected based on mutual love of the outdoors and natural spaces. He then used that connection to capture the essence of my and Emily's love over our wedding weekend.

Homer captured moments with such authenticity that I find myself sneaking back to the album any chance I get. If Homer has any space left on his calendar, book immediately. took of the landscape and lift ride, and the ceremony at the summit we’re far more Ansel Adams looking than I ever imagined seeing looking threw someone’s wedding photos.
The classic shots were all present, only with full deep emotion of that second in time on all faces.
The candid photographs were exceptional. So so fun to recall and laugh at and ask questions about! Photos that truly captured the love and excitement and party in everyone’s eyes and movements. Homer was Pro and just mergered right into the crew and vibe of the wedding, capturing time with everyone. Homer even brought a second, apprentice photographer than often times visited our tables during dinner or gave a quick wave for a shoot in the middle of the dance floor. It lead to many more photos and angles across the venues. The photos from the whole wedding weekend of events were honestly impressive and so fun to look threw. Married I am not, but Planning and working towards an engagement and wedding I can understand how important it is to capture such a loving, special and well, expensive day. Having experienced Hower’s photography I plan to hire him to shoot my wedding sometime in the near future.

Homer exceeds in both categories. His experience doing sports photography by day really helped him anticipate the moments we wanted to have captured and get them. He got children playing impromptu games in the leaves and was really good at working with me without being obtrusive to the event. Even from the teaser photos he gave he captured 2/3 days of the wedding so beautifully they tell a wonderful story for us to look back and remember for years to come. I can't wait for the rest of the photos!
A week or two before he and I decided that he should have a second photographer (Patricia) to help and I am very glad that we did that. The two of them did a great job.
One last thing that I would say is that they were very good at listening when I talked the nuances of the family. For example, my husband's grandma is 95 and she almost died this year, but she made it to the wedding. It was really important to me that we capture different members of the family with her and they did a fantastic job making that happen.
All in all - top notch and worth every penny!

We hired Homer because he said he was knowledgeable of our venue, a dark, dimly lit music venue which we knew would be problematic. He assured us he could deliver. He did not. Most of the photos he took of our day are out of focus. Not just...
the photos inside, the ones he took outside in the sunlight. Another huge problem, there is NOT ONE, I repeat, NOT ONE photo of my husband and myself smiling at the camera. We are doing poses, looking at each other, kissing, etc... but not just smiling. There are no pictures of myself and my mother, of myself and my father, basically any pictures of us with our families except for the group shots. I don't think he even knew the core family members. In our first round of edited photos there were 6 photos of our DJ and not one from us cutting our cake. Homer seemed to have his own agenda, wanting the composition of the photo more than the needs of the people who hired him. He was the biggest disappointment of the day. People's iPhone photos came out better. Yes, he offered to have a make up shoot three months after our wedding but that just isn't ok. You have one chance to get wedding photos. There are no redo's.

ted that the $500 print credit I offered as part of your package wasn’t enough to cover a wedding album (though I shared all pricing with you before the wedding). Up until that point there were no signs of you being unhappy in any way. Your initial response after I sent the images was very positive, so other than the album upset, I’m not sure what has changed. Since then, things have spiraled and you’ve now asked me to refund $1000 while keeping your print credit in order for you to take this review down.

There is a 15 image sequence of you two cutting the cake, well over that of Allison and her mother together, and many more of the two of you smiling and looking towards the camera. All of the images have the intended subject in focus so if they appear soft in any way, it is likely an effect of the proofing website and I’d suggest downloading the full resolution file.
I did not choose your venue or time of ceremony, but I was there with you every step of the way to document it the very best I could. That said, if you are truly unhappy then as I have offered, of course I will do whatever possible to make it right and you can email me to work out a settlement.
This photographer is amazing, he captures moments that look like pieces of artwork.

Homer photographed our Fall 2016 wedding in upstate New York. There were some challenges throughout the day, including a few locations (the inn where I got ready, the house down the road where my husband was, the location of our first look, and...
eventually the wedding venue). We had an outdoor ceremony (with some rain!) followed by an indoor / outdoor reception, where the lighting was really tricky. I'm mentioning the nitty gritty details of the day, because from the big gorgeous batch of photos we ended up with, you would've never known! Homer is incredibly talented, and he's also so easy to get along with. We didn't have an official shot list (my fault) for family / post ceremony photos, but still ended up with everything we wanted and more. The editing he did in post was also really beautifully done and subtle. He was easy to communicate with via email, phone and text, and his rates were very reasonable and competitive. LOVED working with him and would highly recommend!!

t as it happens and that is why we wanted him, as anyone can take staged portraits of you and your family, but Homer's ability to capture the moment takes skill, talent and experience.
Homer was always available via phone, text or email. He was also willing to be flexible with his package when we needed something a bit different than the cookie cutter package. He was also willing to shoot a boudoir shoot even though he never had. This is what I meant about shooting in the moment: he had never done a boudoir shoot but these turned out to be the best boudoir photos any of us had ever seen. He's great at making you feel comfortable and getting into poses without feeling like he is doing it! He takes time to get to know you as individuals and a couple and learn what's important to you.
He has a great personality and fits in quite well with both the ladies and the men. I'm a filmmaker myself, and I must say I highly recommend Homer!!

seasoned wedding photographer however that is NOT a bad thing at all. I've seen some photographers who have been in the game for years and they look bored and have lost their passion.
