What we didn’t even expect were all of the little ways Homer went the extra mile and the absolute openness and adventurous spirit he brought to our wedding. Like many couples we were on plan C or D by the time we got married this past September and when we switched from our Vermont location to Cape Cod, Homer was willing To travel the six hours each way. In an extremely stressful year to plan a wedding, Homer gave us peace of mind. He was there sending hopeful and caring emails and stayed on the phone with us multiple times to help go over every detail. On our wedding day he had this magical way of blending into the background and becoming part of the family all at once. Everyone was singing Homer’s praises the next morning. The photographs we have of our wedding are honestly too good! We haven’t printed any yet because we can’t decide which ones to frame – we love them all! Homer was able to capture so many natural moments that brought out all the emotions everyone was feeling. My stepmom has announced that she’s turning the house into a gallery with all the photos! Homer’s work speaks for itself and we can vouch that he is fun, down to earth, laid backed, and a true professional. You’d be nuts not to have him photograph your wedding!

It's a great ice breaker for everyone, we took time to get to know each other for a little and by the day of the wedding it was like having our friend there to photograph for us. Homer concentrates on candid moments, which is what drew us to him in the first place. We are humans! Not stiff cardboard cutouts who are eternally in uncomfortable poses. It was so relieving to find a photographer who cared about the little moments throughout our wedding day just as much as getting good family photos. He was professional and made everyone feel comfortable, guiding people in photos in a way where they felt more relaxed and natural. We're so glad to have had him share and document our wedding day. . The communication about timeline and setup needs was great, and he always is on time, if not early! It’s also a huge asset to find a photographer who is completely comfortable doing chairlift pictures as so many couples do mountain top ceremonies and pictures for their Vermont weddings! I cannot recommend Clove Hitch Photography enough. They were wonderful to work with.

After receiving out pictures Homer did not disappoint, they are beautiful and my wife couldn't be happier. Guests at our wedding have already asked Homer to take part in their special day after seeing what a wonderful job he did. Money is always a scary topic when it comes to a wedding, there were photographers out there charging thousands more then Homer and the pictures were half the quality. Homer could charge ten times the amount and we still would have picked him now that we know what he can deliver. If you want to make sure that your going to love your wedding pictures, I couldn't recommend anyone more highly then Homer!

We had a few things we wanted to photograph during our initial engagement shoot and Homer went above and beyond to make our visions happen. When we finally got closer to our wedding date, Homer again spent time with us discussing our timeline and making sure he knew exactly what we wanted our day to look like. He executed on EVERYTHING. Our photographs are absolutely stunning and he captured so many aspects of the day that we didn't even know were happening, or didn't know would be worth photographing! To set the stage; My fiance works 100 hours a week, so in addition to looking very tired, he also made us late due to a phone call. As for me, I hate being in front of the camera, not to mention am not an expert looking natural during "forced PDA". Thanks to their experience and expertise, by the 5th photo, I felt relaxed beautiful bride, rather than an awkward woman-child trying to adult. You can tell each of them really loves the process and being part of this special time in a couple's life. We received photos in record time. I was in shock, my fiance looked AWAKE and I didn't look like I was having a nervous break down. Magic I tell you. I am happy with the variety of photos as well! Viewing, printing, and sharing photos with friends and family was really easy. Lastly, we found pricing to be very reasonable and making a payment online was easy! If we had not already booked a photographer for our upcoming 2020 wedding in NJ before this shoot, Homer would have been pick #1!

Above all, our ceremony took place at the top of a mountain, which demanded some challenging shots, as well as time sensitivity, but Homer and his partner really handled it all really well. d could easily see the passion he has for photography. The combination of his technical skills and artist's eye made booking him an easy choice! He captured so many details of the day that I wasn't able to see first hand. I know portraits of big families are hard enough, but Homer was awesome with it (even if I was a little hangry and impatient with family members wandering off!) I was concerned about our reception area being dimly lit - but he rocked that too. The reception photos are better than I imagined! When I opened our gallery link, I wanted to scream. Photos he took of the landscape and lift ride, and the ceremony at the summit we’re far more Ansel Adams looking than I ever imagined seeing looking threw someone’s wedding photos. The classic shots were all present, only with full deep emotion of that second in time on all faces. The candid photographs were exceptional. So so fun to recall and laugh at and ask questions about! Photos that truly captured the love and excitement and party in everyone’s eyes and movements. Homer was Pro and just mergered right into the crew and vibe of the wedding, capturing time with everyone. Homer even brought a second, apprentice photographer than often times visited our tables during dinner or gave a quick wave for a shoot in the middle of the dance floor. It lead to many more photos and angles across the venues. The photos from the whole wedding weekend of events were honestly impressive and so fun to look threw. Married I am not, but Planning and working towards an engagement and wedding I can understand how important it is to capture such a loving, special and well, expensive day. then it would be impossible to describe how perfectly the numerous photographs by Homer captured the heart and soul of my family. From start to finish, Homer was attuned not only to the needs of the bride and groom, but also the entire wedding party and guests. He had an intuitive way of putting people at ease, and his charisma and enthusiasm brought my family members together for some truly meaningful and humorous portraits. What I noticed most about Homer was his ability to flow naturally around the wedding, capturing innumerable moments of joy. Homer's creative eye and passion for his craft was evident throughout the entire day and he consistently went above and beyond to not just take pictures, but to capture love and record memories.

His experience doing sports photography by day really helped him anticipate the moments we wanted to have captured and get them. He got children playing impromptu games in the leaves and was really good at working with me without being obtrusive to the event. Even from the teaser photos he gave he captured 2/3 days of the wedding so beautifully they tell a wonderful story for us to look back and remember for years to come. I can't wait for the rest of the photos! A week or two before he and I decided that he should have a second photographer (Patricia) to help and I am very glad that we did that. The two of them did a great job. One last thing that I would say is that they were very good at listening when I talked the nuances of the family. For example, my husband's grandma is 95 and she almost died this year, but she made it to the wedding. It was really important to me that we capture different members of the family with her and they did a fantastic job making that happen. All in all - top notch and worth every penny!

He got so many great shots at the reception that I was thinking "how could he have been in all of these places?" He was seamlessly part of the event. He asked tons of questions before the wedding in order to pinpoint our style and then delivered an amazing group of photos. It captures the essence of people and things.

ost of the photos he took of our day are out of focus. Not just the photos inside, the ones he took outside in the sunlight. Another huge problem, there is NOT ONE, I repeat, NOT ONE photo of my husband and myself smiling at the camera. We are doing poses, looking at each other, kissing, etc... but not just smiling. There are no pictures of myself and my mother, of myself and my father, basically any pictures of us with our families except for the group shots. I don't think he even knew the core family members. In our first round of edited photos there were 6 photos of our DJ and not one from us cutting our cake. Homer seemed to have his own agenda, wanting the composition of the photo more than the needs of the people who hired him. He was the biggest disappointment of the day. People's iPhone photos came out better. Yes, he offered to have a make up shoot three months after our wedding but that just isn't ok. You have one chance to get wedding photos. There are no redo's.
