Over 300 reviews reveal our secret-historic hand-hewn stone and timbers are complimented by views, spaciousness, and flexible options for your style. The top (reception area) and bonus space in the bank of the barn (cocktail area or rain ceremony option), and bridal cottage are apparent, but the scope of views, privacy, and proximity to town are unique to Cloverdale Barn, and provide the value you and your guests will remember.
We offer a 12-hr. base fee, extra hours are available at $150 each. Additionally, if available, Friday and Saturday events can book the day before or day after at 50% the 12 hr min rate for additional time for rehearsal and setup We do offer discounts on short advance times. Cut to 2025 when our oldest daughter and her fiancé were looking for a place to hold their wedding and they immediately knew Cloverdale Barn was just what they wanted to welcome their large group of family and friends. As others have noted the barn provides the perfect blend of rustic, quaint, welcoming and wide open space. We too heard from all our guests how much they loved the location and the warm vibes therein! The bridal cottage was the perfect place for the bride and her attendants to get ready. Claire is fabulous to work with - friendly, personable, professional, helpful, and very open and clear in all her communications. The early June rains found us scrambling over how and whether to move the ceremony into the barn the morning of the Big Day and Claire helped us move things around and strategize. So kind and helpful! The couple was able to exchange their vows under the willows as they had dreamed, but rest assured there is plenty of space both upstairs and in the lower barn area to seat 167 guests and a wedding party of 27! We cannot recommend this magical venue highly enough.

For the price the value was seriously top notch! We added on the bridal suite to get ready in and their high scale portable bathroom (we even got compliments on that!) as well as all the table and chairs which they offer on site. With all of that together it was still a fraction of the cost of most venues.
The Barn itself is permanently decorated with hanging globe and string lights which provide an elegant lighting along with fabric draped down from the beams. They allow you to use any vendors and its a blank slate for your DIY and Pintrest ideas!
There is an onsite ceremony arch and room for guests to celebrate outside or in the "cellar" under the barn which has recently been refinished. We opted to use the cellar as our cocktail hour location but it was a relief to know we had a rain plan!

You barely need to decorate the venue in order for it to be "wedding ready" as it has its own natural rustic charm from the fairy tale lights, to the scenery, rocking chairs, arbors, wine barrels, and various charming items that are around. It was so easy to rent the chairs and tables that were already at the venue through Claire. There is an area down by the willow trees for the ceremony so you can have your guests stay at the same location for the ceremony and reception. The bridal cottage is right on site as well so you can get ready at the venue and be there to decorate. Claire is so responsive and emailed with me throughout the entire year leading up to my wedding. Throughout the night of our wedding, I cannot tell you how many compliments and comments I heard from our wedding guests on how awesome the barn was. It is spacious and the sliding barn doors open up to a beautifully lit patio where our guests stood outside and hung out as well. The venue also has many other areas for photo ops for the bride and groom / wedding party for professional photos. n see. We were lucky enough for our event date to fall on a gorgeous weather date (9/26/2021) so our guests could enjoy the grounds and the patio as much as the barn. We were originally set to have our wedding here May 2020, but opted to say our “I do’s” at grandma’s instead and hold off on the bigger celebration at the barn until more people would be able to attend. Claire was wonderful to work with from the start and very responsive to any questions that I had throughout the process. Our day at Cloverdale was well worth the wait!

too many ways to list to make sure our day was that much more special. The property is a dream and the grounds are well manicured and great care is taken to uphold the scenic landscape. The price was more than reasonable and we really enjoyed decorating the barn in order to make it our own for our special day. The barn also provides a number of decorations such as apple crates, a beautiful antique carriage, and farmhouse tables to help make the space your very own. Beyond Cloverdale Barn's idyllic location in historic Winchester, it's also so affordable. While you do need to rent a restroom trailer & obtain special event insurance, the cost to use the facilities is very reasonable.
We loved having our ceremony outside, near the pond & the rolling hills, with a cider hour in the under part of the barn, followed by an indoor barn reception complete with loads of twinkling lights, good ole Southern BBQ & lots of dancing :)
