If you are considering having your wedding at Club Getaway, stop second guessing and DO IT now! We are a very adventurous, fun-loving couple and our summer camp wedding was the bes...
t weekend of our lives. We wanted to combine the fun of a weekend at summer camp with the beauty and elegance of an outdoor ceremony. Club Getaway exceeded our expectations in every way. The friendliest staff went above and beyond to bring our vision to life from the moment we got on site. They were extremely helpful without being overbearing. You could tell they really cared about making the day special, memorable, and perfect for us and all of our guests. Every single meal was incredible, and not just for a summer camp - it was some of the best food we've had at any event, period! Over the course of the weekend, so many of our guests said they were blown away by the food. And not just the reception dinner - every meal we had during the weekend was fantastic. The staff helped us work around some weather on our big day, flexing the schedule so that our guests could still do all the incredible activities even in the rain (water park, waterskiing, volleyball, ziplining, aerial park, you name it). With weather uncertain, they decorated the lodge as the contingency plan, then had the speed and flexibility to set up our stunning outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake in the afternoon at the last minute when the clouds receded. The meal tent was decorated beautifully, and they even used the decorations we had brought in new and creative ways to make the evening truly stunning. They also allowed us to have an absolute rave in the Boat House for our reception dance party, complete with lights, fog, and a giant disco ball. Shoutout to Leslie, Gary, David and the entire crew - they were organized, attentive, communicative, thoughtful, hardworking, and fun the whole weekend! All details were taken care of. Our guests said it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. Quality time with guests combined with some adrenaline and a gorgeous setting - we couldn't have picked a better venue.

bly helpful staff, extreme flexibility, and an outstanding ringleader Leslie Fink who is a master of her craft. We feel so fortunate to have celebrated our marriage at Club Getaway, and highly recommend it to everyone!
We wanted a getaway, get out of the city, fun filled, activity packed weekend, for our approximately 100 guests, and that is just what we got.

Getaway's season- October 17th - 19th. The leaves were PEAK! I can't explain the gorgeousness.
The grounds are just beautiful and very well kept, and the staff -top to bottom- is just tremendous.
The venue is amazing really. They have a 60' x 90' tent where we had our reception, and a big beautiful lawn area where we held our ceremony. They have 2 indoor spaces big enough to hold the wedding ceremony just in case the weather doesn't cooperate, or if you want an indoor cocktail hour. No hidden charges! The tent is included!
The activities were amazing, and our guests had a blast. Archery, ropes courses, zip lines, canoeing, kayaking, karaoke, mountain biking, trapeze, trail hiking, rock climbing, kickball, softball, arts & crafts, volleyball, football, basketball, the list goes on and on. And all of this is included in the price!
We added a few extras to their base price. We added a cocktail party on the first night before dinner, and we upgraded from beer wine and soda to a full open premium bar. Plus we added a bonfire with beer, wine, and s'mores as our after party. But beer, wine and soda is included at every meal, and full open bar at cocktail hour is also included. Leslie also threw in about 5 appetizers for free to our Friday cocktail party! The extras we paid for added about $4900.
The staff put up my decor at no extra charge (hanging lanterns) and they did such a beautiful job. Plus the setting is already so beautiful, and they had already put up beautiful string lights, nothing else was really even necessary (beyond the table settings of course.)
The cabins are rustic, but have heat and AC. I might have encouraged guests to bring an extra blanket if they get cold easily, but we were there on their last weekend of the season, so colder nights were to be expected.
Planning was a little stressful, as it was a destination wedding. But Leslie spent TONS of time with us, showing us the grounds, a second grounds visit, then again at our tasting. I'd say she spent about 10 hours with us before our weekend. Emails weren't always super prompt, but the weekend truly went off without a hitch.
Also- many of our guests did not stay overnight for the whole weekend. Had all 100 of our guests spent the whole weekend, our costs would have been ~$5,000 less.
If you're guests are active and fun, if you want a weekend long party, but don't want to plan a whole weekend's worth of activities, this is your venue.
We had a blast, our guests young and old had plenty to keep them occupied. Plus- our guests spread out and did things that interested them so we weren't all cooped up, or forced to do things that they weren't into. I saw my friends going on romantic walks with their partners- or playing games and activities so whole-heartedly that they had to nap afterwards! People partied hard and made our wedding weekend a real vacation for themselves. Seeing our guests having so much fun made us so very very happy.
The weekend was a huge success.
We loved our wedding more than any other one we'd ever been to. The camp director took great care of us and everything went as smoothly as possible. I totally recommend this weddin...

We found Club Getaway on Google. We wanted a weekend long wedding where we could actually spend time with everyone, which CG provides. We visited in March '09 & booked July 10, 2...
010 immediately. My skeptical parents were converted as soon as we took them to the tasting. They were even more excited when they found out that everything was included for an insanely reasonable price. The only thing the guests paid for was their cabins. We were really excited for over a year while we planned our wedding. Many brides I have spoken to have said that letting go once the day comes is difficult. From the moment we arrived at camp, Leslie & Samarah, the two go-to ladies of CG, always managed to be one step ahead of us. Friday night we had an orientation, family style BBQ dinner & a Talent Show (complete with lights & music), followed by late night games. The whole evening went off without a hitch. The weather forecast had predicted rain, and surely enough, Saturday morning, the skies opened. After a delicious breakfast, CG provided a ton of things to do inside as well as ponchos for all 125 guests. At lunch, the jaw of each person who entered the buffet tent dropped immediately. It was a true smorgasbord. As soon as the clouds lifted, the staff (who were unbelievably friendly) opened all the outdoor activities. Everyone had a blast at the private waterfront, on zip lines, doing arts & crafts and playing basketball. While the skies had cleared we had decided to do the ceremony & cocktail hour indoors. The Lodges were beautiful on short notice. (We even got some amazing pictures outside when the sun actually appeared!) Our reception was a blast! Everyone was on the dance floor all night and the dinner was delicious. After the reception we had a bonfire by the lake. We lost our glow necklaces, but CG replaced all of them. The weekend ended with a brunch buffet that was out of this world. Everyone from the wait staff to the game staff to the Chef (who taught my husband how to make his amazing zucchini pancakes) to Leslie & Samarah was sweet & reliable. The letters, emails, texts, & cards that we received for weeks after the wedding all had the words "Best Wedding Ever!" We knew that we had fun, but to know that everyone seemed to have just as much fun as we did was so rewarding. We already want to plan our 5 year anniversary/reunion at Club Getaway. I would do it again if I could!
