Founded by Jon Anderson, whose career began abroad over a decade ago, our studio combines years of experience with a true passion for storytelling. Since then, Jon has produced over 300 films, focusing on capturing authentic and timeless moments for couples. Our team is based in beautiful Santa Barbara, California, and our familiarity with the West Coast allows us to make the most of the breathtaking locations that make this area so unique. Alongside Jon is Cyprian Roto, a Santa Barbara local and drone specialist with his own pilot’s license. His technical expertise and eye for detail bring stunning aerial shots and an elevated perspective to our wedding films. Also on our team is Lance Karasti, a longtime friend of Jon’s from Duluth, MN, and an accomplished filmmaker. Lance has directed several feature-length films, many of which are now on streaming platforms like Tubi. His love for visual storytelling and extensive film experience add a cinematic edge to every wedding we capture. Together, we are Coastal Motion Media—a team of dedicated professionals ready to craft your love story with the artistry and dedication it deserves. I can’t say enough good things about this crew! They made planning so easy—they actually listened carefully to what we wanted and were super responsive the whole way through. On the day of, they kept everything running smoothly and captured every little moment without us feeling rushed or staged. When we saw the final video, we thought they really nailed the unique vibe and style of the wedding. Brides, if you want a team that feels like they’re in your corner, these are your peeps!

Absolutely thrilled to have the CMM team along for our destination wedding! Strongly recommend the drone footage package, along with the music and everything really made the whole thing special, and now we've got it all as memories! Oh my gosh, Coastal Motion totally knocked it out of the park! The drone shots were insane—we got this epic view of our whole venue that just blew us away. And the music they picked? Spot on! It was like the whole video just synced up perfectly with the vibe of our day. Honestly, if you want a wedding video that feels like a movie, go with these guys. We’re obsessed!
