Hi, I’m Mary Gehr, and I have the absolute joy of helping couples create some of the most meaningful and unforgettable moments of their lives. As a Wedding Officiant, my passion lies in crafting ceremonies that celebrate love, commitment, and connection in a way that feels deeply personal and authentic to each couple. My journey into this beautiful work began in the early 1990s when I became involved in family and marriage ministry. In 2001, I was ordained as a Lay Minister at a Christian Non-Denominational Church in Southern California, where I guided couples through pre-marital coursework and officiated countless ceremonies. Since then, I’ve had the honor of officiating over 4,000 weddings across the U.S. and around the world—from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. While my foundation is rooted in Christianity, my focus is on creating ceremonies that reflect each couple’s unique story. Whether interfaith, non-religious (secular), or culturally diverse, I take pride in honoring all beliefs and traditions. I’ve even co-officiated with Ministers and Rabbis to celebrate the incredible diversity of love today. Beyond weddings, I’ve also had the privilege of presiding over vow renewals, baptisms, and home blessings—each a special opportunity to bring people together in love and intention. These experiences have allowed me to connect with families on a deeper level and celebrate life’s most cherished milestones. I’m also a proud member of organizations like the International Wedding Officiant Association and the American Association of Wedding Officiants, which keep me connected to a global network of leaders and up-to-date on ministry laws.
