Coastal Shots Photography was one of the best decisions my husband and I made when planning our wedding! Ryan was so great and easy to work with, from our very first emails. Not only was he very quick in responding, he also gave us advice on other aspects of the wedding besides photography that we had asked about since he has a lot of experience! Ryan photographed both our engagement and wedding pictures. He has a very laid back style that made everyone feel comfortable and was great at making sure he captured our whole day without us feeling like there was a camera in front of us the whole time. We even had multiple wedding guests come up to us and comment on how amazing and attentive our photographer was. Ryan also did an incredible job editing our images, and we love how bright and colorful all of our pictures turned out! We couldn’t imagine having chosen anyone else to capture our special day and cannot recommend Coastal Shots Photography enough!

Ryan and Haley were wonderful to work with. They stayed in contact and made sure to reach out before the big day. I really appreciated the package Coastal Shots offered and the flash drive you receive along with the digital downloads after the wedding. Awesome people, and fantastic work!

I have to start this review by saying that Ryan and Hayley are simply the best. They shot our engagement and family photos, and I couldn't imagine not having them shoot my wedding. I met Ryan and Hayley when they shot my sister's wedding in Corolla in 2013, I was so impressed with how they work together and the quality of their work. I got married in Maryland and was so excited when they said they would be able to travel to shoot my wedding. Our photos are simply amazing and I can't recommend them enough—for wedding, family shoots, engagement—they do it all!

Ryan and Hayley of Coastal Shots Photgraphy not only produced phenomenal photography for our engagement pictures and our wedding day, their calming and kind presence helped set the tone for our wedding day and keep everyone at the event having a great time. We lived in the Outer Banks at the time of our engagement shoot, and had to reschedule THREE times due to the weather, and Ryan was so accommodating and flexible through it all. As soon as we met him, we were immediately at ease and knew we were in good hands. Then the day of the wedding, some of my favorite memories are of Hayley helping to have my dress fall just the right way in the pictures, or looking up at Ryan on the dance floor taking great action shots of all our guests and smiling and singing along like an old friend. Our guests favorite thing at the wedding was of course their awesome photo booth (it's so worth it to add on everyone!!) and we have the photo booth album on our coffee table to look through and laugh and smile at every chance we get. Our favorite shots of the day (both from the engagement shoot and the wedding) are the sneaky ones that we didn't even know were happening - like the shot of us and the clouds, or through the bushes in the Gardens when we had just walked away from the ceremony as man and wife for the first time and were stealing a kiss before everyone else caught up to us. I honestly can't say enough good things about Coastal Shots, we love every picture they took and will hold them close to our hearts forever, and we loved working with this amazing husband and wife team. If you have any doubts please just trust me, it will be the best decision you make for you wedding. Thank you so much, Ryan and Hayley!! We are going to miss working with you!

We got our engagement photos done by Ryan during our vacation in the Outer Banks. From the beginning, he was super quick with responding and answering all of my questions. The photoshoot itself was so much better than we anticipated, as we have never gotten professional photos done before. We felt so at ease and he made the experience such a positive one. He got all of the great poses and shots that we had in mind and had a great creative eye. All of our photos are gorgeous, natural looking and were emailed to us within 24 hours! Ryan was awesome to work with! We wanted to get our engagement pictures done while on vacation in the outer banks and I ran across Ryan’s website. So glad we did! He made the photo shoot fun and relaxed. Ryan got our pictures back to us very quickly and answers all our questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Ryan did such a great job keeping things light and fun. He mad sure he suggested the best times to get photos of us and the family. He is a saint for having the patience for my family, haha. Can’t wait to see the pictures!

Ryan & his wife Hayley were amazing! They were very easy and professional to work with. They listened to my ideas & also had many wonderful suggestions of their own. The pictures and poses were out of this world and they did everything in a timely manner so that we got great photos as well as a lot of time enjoying the wedding. We are still going through the hundreds of pictures that Ryan with Coastal Shots took for us and enjoying each one. Ryan’s talent shows through in his product and the care he puts in to his profession is evident in the pictures he produces. We loved working with Ryan and Haley! Our pictures were absolutely beautiful and they were a joy to work with! Best of all, they gave us all of our pictures on a desk and did not make a certain number. They were there from start to finish and made us feel completely comfortable. My husband and I cannot give Coastal Shots Photography enough praise! Ryan and Hayley went above and beyond on our 9/13/2016 wedding day and making sure we had no worries. Ryan was very fast to respond to emails and questions, which eased our mind since we live 12 hours away. The day of the wedding they arrived with plenty of time to take pictures of myself and my girls, along with my husband and his guys as we all prepped for the ceremony. I was pretty set on doing a first look with only my groom and myself and they made sure that was how it happened. Hayley was such a huge help with pinning our 13 boutonnieres (thank you again, Hayley!) as we all know how difficult it is to pin them on yourself. While Ryan was capturing the bridal party walking onto the beach for the ceremony, Hayley was up on the dune deck helping us time the processional. The whole evening when as smooth as can be and they even stayed up until the last song was played by the DJ. We just recently received our pictures back and they all are stunning. They truly know how to capture moments and turn them into flawless photos. Thank you again!

Colin and I were thrilled with our photographer, Ryan, at our beach front wedding! He was excellent when it came to communications before hand, reasonably priced, prompt, and relaxed. While working, he kept us on schedule and directed pictures in a very calm manner. It's still to early to have seen our own pictures; however the main reason we chose him was his great portfolio! We're very appreciative of him and all his hard work!

Ryan and Hayley are just amazing. They were so easy to work with from the moment we met them at the OBX wedding expo (if you're planning a wedding in the OBX-you must go). They were willing to meet with us multiple times, both in person and over the phone. Our wedding day's weather was not the most appealing but they were still able to get everyone in some great shots. The best part is how involved they were with all of our guests. When I look at my photos I can see all the guests and in unique ways. Each of them are literally willing to do anything for a shot (even lay in the middle of the street). We have heard nothing but praise from all our guests about what a great job they did and how easy and fun each of them are to work with! Thank you so much for making one of the most important pieces of the day (since you have them forever) so wonderful.

Ryan and Heather were wonderful to work with! Shortly after booking them for the wedding, we had an engagement shoot with them. It was just after sunrise on the beach. I'm not a morning person, but their energy and enthusiasm helped wake me up, and the pictures came out beautifully. I'm definitely not a person who likes getting photos taken, but they made it a fun experience. I spent a lot of time laughing and smiling - which definitely showed in the pictures. On the day of the wedding, they both arrived on time and were a joy to work with. I had great plans for all the pictures I wanted taken, but, of course, on the day of the wedding my head was elsewhere. Fortunately, they knew the best shots to take and I gave them the reins to direct us. In many weddings I've attended, it feels like the bride and groom miss most of the wedding taking photos, but it wasn't like that for us. We were able to get our shots in the time alotted, and Ryan was very diligent about keeping to my timeline. That being said, we also captured nearly all the shots I wanted, and our photos are perfect. My biggest problem now - there's too many great pictures to choose from! We have great shots of family, bridal party, friends, and us both in traditional and "fun" shots, posed and unposed. They also did a great job capturing candid shots that show the emotion of the day. I couldn't be happier!
