Coastal Valley Floral Design

Karen was an absolute dream to work with on our wedding florals! As a bride with a specific vision (dreamy, wild, and whimsical to match our 1960's and 1970's theme), I vetted tons of florists in the SLO area. After one phone call with Karen, there was no one I trusted more to make this vision come to life... and boy did she deliver!! She was amazing throughout the whole process. We communicated regularly and she was always so kind, positive, and helpful. She even let us come out to her studio to test out our table decorations with florals that would be similar to ours for our wedding. Amazing! Then the day of the wedding... WOW. She arrived on time with the most gorgeous, whimsical, colorful, wild flowers! She even made a special floral collar for our dog (the flower girl) that was stunning. She went above and beyond with the set up as it was a windy day at Madonna Inn. Like legitimately stayed for over an hour to ensure the flowers would be perfect. She thought of creative solutions to withstand the wind and even let us borrow some ribbons to denote family chairs (something I didn't consider doing). The flowers looked gorgeous all night (and for days after). She was just a part of the family and team from the beginning and we are SO thankful for her. Her pricing was also super fair (honestly shockingly affordable for our budget). 100% recommend Karen enthusiastically!

My wedding was this past weekend and I'm still so happy thinking about the flower arrangements and bouquets designed and provided by Karen. Everything at the wedding was absolutely gorgeous! I received so many compliments on my boquet, the flower crowns, the flower arrangements, and even the boutonnieres…Karen was a delight to work with. She asked a lot of good questions and spent a good amount of time texting and scheduling calls with me to going through pictures of flowers/ helping me decide on colors and specific flowers. She's so sweet, understood my vision, and took interest in getting to know us as a couple. She even texted me a few days before the wedding to ask if I wanted a sneak peak of my bouquet and it made me SO excited for the wedding day! She was also very attentive to sticking to our budget. I could not recommend Karen more!! I wish I could get married again just to have more of her arrangements.

If you have the opportunity to work with Karen for your wedding DO IT!! Karen is a person of integrity and takes great pride in her work. Karen completely understood the vision, she met with us beforehand, she worked with us to stay within our budget and completely delivered with EVERY aspect of our agreement from the actual flowers to repurposing the flowers around the venue. Karen’s work made the day so special. Everyone commented on the beauty of the flowers and some of the guests actually gasped when they saw the decorated reception dining tables. Our event was outdoors on a very warm day and the flowers stayed fresh and bright. I am SO glad we found Karen and highly recommend her for any occasion/event when beautiful flowers are needed.
