All the planning can be overwhelming and stressful, so this detail went a LONG way for me. During the day, you're poked and prodded on where to go and where to stand. I have to say , that there is nothing more beautiful than being taken by strings to a song you've dedicated to your wife. It centered me right back into the present. I love strings and I loved that we made it a point to choose Cobalt Strings. ot to hear a little bit of what they were about to perform and it was magical. We paid the trio (3 string musicians) to perform 30 minutes of prelude music and our ceremony music, which had three new songs for them to learn, and roughly a dozen from their existing repertoire. We wanted guests to hear a little bit of our favorite showtunes as they waited so we included music from Westworld, Game of Thrones, Succession, Harry Potter, and Up. Then we all came down the aisle to 'Holy' by Justin Bieber with the DJ playing the main chorus at the end as I arrived. It all went exactly as planned and I could not recommend them enough for your wedding!

Their music selection was great and allowed us to have a lot of songs we love be played for the wedding. They were also really prompt and friendly with their responses as well as adaptive to our requests. We really appreciated their feedback when it came to music choices and realistic when adapting potential songs into string versions of them. We ended up having “Merry Go Round of Life” from Howl’s Moving Castle, “Ashes” from God of War, and “Reigns of Castamere” from GOT (as an inside joke for guests who know) be the custom songs they adapted. During the wedding, they were able to play all of the music perfectly during the ceremony and adapt to the timing of each walk. We also got them to play during cocktail hour. We got so many compliments from our guests about Cobalt Strings and their performances! Both older guests and younger enjoyed the music selection. Even guests with a musical background thought they did an excellent job! Funnily enough, the older guests that were familiar with classical music were wondering what some of the modern, fandom songs were as they loved them so much and were surprised to find that they were adaptations of modern songs! We would 100% recommend Cobalt Strings! They are great for couples that want a mix of older and newer songs, as well as fans of Bridgerton-like modern string adaptations of songs and those wanting custom songs. They played fantastically, and were definitely a highlight of the wedding!
