Start to finish, we had an amazing experience, from the food to the service, with Cobblestone Catering. We did a tasting two months before the wedding to nail down the menu, and everything was so delicious and thoughtfully prepared and presented. The staff at the tasting, including Chef Jeremy, made the experiencing so fun and delicious. They made some good suggestions when we wanted to add some lighter summer fare to our selected menu.
The food at the wedding absolutely knocked it out of the park. A month out, I am still getting so many compliments on the incredible food, especially the lobster rolls, raw bar, entrees and mini desserts. I have also gotten a lot of feed back about how impressed people were that the entrees were all hot and cooked so well, which isn't always the norm at a big event. Fortunately, Cobblestone has figured it out and we found Cobblestone. Thank you for everything!
Cobblestone catering and their team is amazing! We had such a great experience working with them for our wedding this past September in New York. We did the full tasting prior to committing and it was a really enjoyable experience. The space was intimate and inviting and everyone was so kind and welcoming. We loved every bite we tasted!
In preparation for the wedding day, our venue also required we rent all the tables, chairs, linens etc. and the Cobblestone team was so helpful and responsive throughout the booking process to ensure we had everything we needed and it all worked together. We received prompt responses and guidance which made our entire wedding planning process easier because we felt we were in such good hands and could trust their opinion. On our wedding day, it all came together and was amazing! Everyone raved about the passed hors d'oeuvres - you cannot go wrong with the grilled cheese or macaroni bites! Most plates we saw on tables were completely cleaned and the bartending staff was pouring endless cocktails, at one point delivering them to people on the dance floor! I highly recommend Cobblestone Catering for your wedding or next event!
We had a great experience with Cobblestone Catering for our wedding in October. We did the full tasting prior to committing to them, and they blew us away with the food. We felt the same way about the food on our wedding day. Most plates we saw on tables at our wedding were completely cleaned and everyone raved about the passed hors d'oeuvres and mini desserts. Not only was the food delicious and way more exciting than your average wedding catering, but their communication throughout the entire process was fantastic. We received prompt responses and guidance which made our entire wedding planning experience easier because we felt we were in such good hands and could trust their opinions on all things wedding related, not just food.
Cobblestone is INCREDIBLE. We cannot recommend them enough. They catered our wedding last weekend, and every part of the experience, from the tasting through the wedding day, was perfect. We tried one other catering company and had a bad experience at their tasting, so we came to Cobblestone skeptical, but they wowed us right away. The tasting was a fun, intimate experience in a little kitchen/dining room above their storefront, and we liked everyone we met with immediately. We also loved every bite we tasted, so much so that we had trouble picking out the final menu items in the end, but everything was delicious so we knew we couldn't go wrong. We also asked Cobblestone to make us Okonomiyaki, a Japanese seafood and bacon pancake common to the area where Eric (the groom) lived for a year. They not only made it, but they made a great version of it for the cocktail hour and even invited us back to taste it before the wedding so we could make sure it was exactly what we wanted. All of our guests adored the food and many said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. Trust me when I say we (especially Eric) are food snobs so we do not say this lightly - you cannot go wrong with Cobblestone!
I am a past client and was told this by some of their staff after our event went very badly. Most positive reviews for this caterer were put up by their own staff, including waiters, bar and kitchen staff. They were paid $40 each to put up the positive reviews. I now know of other client's who were very upset at the results of their event, and will never use this caterer again. Do not wait until you lose a lot of money, we lost over 11k. Find a very professional caterer. There are many very good ones out there.
We did not have a good experience with them. We would recommend going to another caterer if in need of proper service. - Jill
Having written about food for years, I'm picky. So friends and family were very vocal during my engagement with their assumption that we would "kill it" with whatever we served on our wedding day. (No pressure!) As such, choosing the right caterer was extremely important to me. We spent months meeting with various restaurants and event professionals. Ultimately, it came down to two and my now-husband and I selected Cobblestone Catering after they presented a flawless tasting of pescatarian dishes for us at their Manhattan studio. Then, upon delivering our deposit to the Cobblestone Foods storefront in Brooklyn a few days later, I wasn't allowed to leave until chef had filled up my bags with an array of the day's specials -- this further cemented my belief that these people live and breathe good hospitality. On our wedding day, we were assigned a member of the waitstaff who ensured my groom and I were never without hors d'oeuvres, Champagne, water or whatever else we needed. It was amazing. The rest of the servers were equally professional and swift to respond to requests. Guests began telling me how great everything tasted half way through dinner and literally, three weeks later, the compliments continue to pour in. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
