ing planning journey trying to find the perfect caterer that would be able to accommodate our vision as we really wanted something unique and special for our guests and ourselves as well. We did not want your typical event menu. After searching many companies and even being told that their menus were not customizable, we were ready to give up. We then came across a company called Cocina Fusion for which sounded really unique. We reached out to them to get some information and the call was very welcoming! We then setup a tasting which was an incredible experience! We met with Juliana who was the one who would take us on this awesome experience which allowed us to truly envision what our wedding dinner would feel like. Every dish was delivered and introduced by Executive Chef Anaxi. This was truly impressive! It's not common to meet the Executive Chef which made us really appreciate the hands on approach. We felt seen and heard which you don't always get. Needless to say, we wanted Cocina Fusion to be part of our team! Leading up to our wedding, COVID-19 happened and we were in uncertain times. We had no clue what would happen to our wedding, our deposits, etc. Juliana was the leading person to assure us that they would make sure we were taken care of. Fast forward an entire year, our wedding was good to go for September 2021, and Cocina Fusion was ready for us! Juliana was a great resource as she shared a lot of info that we never thought about asking for. This was truly valuable for us as we felt we had a true partner during our wedding that had our best interest at heart. Our wedding day was BEAUTIFUL! The hors d'oeuvres were not only delicious but they were elegantly passed around to our guests. The salad was such a hit and our Main Course was beautifully presented and exquisite! The hard work not only goes into the food, but also in the table settings which is the best we have ever seen. They take elegance and kick it up a notch. OVERALL: In the beginning of our journey, everyone told us that the only thing people would remember is the drinks and the music but we knew that it didn't have to be that way. Food has a way of connecting with people and create wonderful memories which then builds a sense of community through that shared experience and that is what we wanted as we were ready to bring 2 families together as 1. As many people write in their reviews, our guests, til this day rave about how delicious our food was! That is EXACTLY what we wanted! And we ourselves can never forget how amazing the food was! Cocina Fusion's love and passion for their craft is undeniable. It shines through their culinary creations, all the way through the genuine human connection made through the planning process. These are the things that make this wedding experience beautiful. Your wedding day should be filled with love and passion... and when you have a team who truly has that for their own craft, the vibe in the room hits different. It truly matters to have passionate people on your team! That's why we never considered Cocina Fusion and the rest of our team "vendors". They are part of our team...but Cocina Fusion became family! While the meal and appetizer were a homerun, Cocina Fusion stands out because of the experience they provide. Juliana was very responsive to our emails and shared her expertise when it came to planning the menu, table settings, and reception timing (e.g., cake cutting should happen before the dancefloor opens to keep guests' attention). I wish we could re-do our wedding day, in part so we can enjoy the fabulous appetizers and entrees again.

ichurri steak, chicken au jus, potatoes, and arroz con pollo. I have celiac disease so we made sure they had gluten free options so that I could enjoy the food at my wedding. Everything was gluten free other than the bruschetta. I was so excited that they could accommodate me and that I would get to enjoy all of the food. We couldn’t believe how amazing each option was and how amazing they made vegetables taste! We didn’t realize vegetables could taste that good. Since every single option was so delicious, it made our decision for our food selections even harder. We decided to add on late nights tacos and an ice cream cart too. This is absolute must! Our guests can not stop talking about the arepas appetizer, dinner entrées, and late night tacos. Their food is truly amazing!! Their communication and customer service is also the best! Marcela was our point of contact and she was amazing. She was so sweet, kind, understanding, and helpful. Any time I had a question, she responded so fast. At our wedding they helped our florist set up our table decorations, which was so helpful. It made our day stress free. I also worked with Marcela designing our place cards so that it was easy for the servers to pass out the food. Their severs did an amazing job! During cocktail hour, I asked one of the servers for an arepa and she brought me out a plate full of arepas. The bartender was truly the best too! He asked my husband what we were drinking and kept switching out our drinks the whole entire night. He would literally come out to the dance floor and switch it. I wish I could get that drink service every time I go out! If you haven’t booked Cocina Fusion, you need to!!

They made the process of moving our 2021 wedding to 2022 as stress free as possible. She was very responsive over the 2 years we were in communication and was on top of adjusting last minute changes due to people unable to come because they got COVID. During the wedding day, Marcela made sure to bring us both a plate with appetizers and a drink so we could enjoy the food since we skipped cocktail hour. She went up and down 4 flights of stairs to bring it and to check on us TWICE and we were super grateful for that. We did family style but we sat at a sweetheart table. They individualized our plates for us with a little bit of everything that we had on our menu and the presentation and portions were awesome. Staff made sure to check on us to see if we wanted any more food during dinner and they also made sure to bring us drinks so we never had to go to the bar. They were very accommodating as we had a few guests with very strict diets due to medical conditions. Their vegetarian option was awesome--it's a stuffed red pepper and they use coconut milk so it's also vegan! Our guests loved having a different option other than the standard pasta for vegan/vegetarian options. We got the steak and poblano chicken as our other entrees and our guests STILL talk about that chicken. Many said it was the best chicken they've ever had at a wedding and I have to agree with them :). The churro cart they had was a HIT. Me and my now husband did not get to try any because we did not leave the dance floor LOL but soooooo many people told us that night about how good it was. We didn't do a cake and we don't regret it one bit. The churros were made fresh with multiple topping options and my only regret of the night was not trying one! I would absolutely recommend Cocina Fusion to anyone in a heartbeat. Especially Marcela. She is just awesome. Amazing food, excellent service, genuine people. Can't ask for more!

Cocina Fusion blew every other place out of the water. Anaxi and Juliana were incredible to work with and worked with us as we changed menus and details several times prior to the wedding date. My Korean parents had never had pasilla steak before and they said their only regret that night was being almost too full to finish. The portions are REAL people portions, and every single guest said they were full and happy and blown away by the dinner. We added on their churro cart and Icecream cart, and the team set up our dessert table so beautifully I couldn't have asked for anything more. My husband and I said from the beginning of wedding planning that food was one of our top priorities, and Cocina Fusion delivered beyond our expectations. We are forever grateful to Cocina Fusion for making our day as seamless and beautiful as it was. It was a dream come true.

She is honestly an expert and a pro at what she is doing and our wedding was more perfect than we could've asked for. Many of our guests mentioned that the food was the best wedding food that they ever had (people will say no one ever talks about the wedding food.... but it's not true. My guests are still talking to me about the wedding food and how they scarfed the whole thing down whether or not they got meat, fish, vegetarian. They were able to even accommodate all the different allergies and dietary restrictions) and honestly the prices were super great for a high cost of living area like Chicago. The catering team was amazing on the day of and they did such a great job serving our guests and also keeping the timing on track for the rest of the night. I will be recommending Cocina Fusion to any of my friends getting married in Chicago. Hell, I will even recommend them to strangers if they asked me for my recommendations. e stumbled upon Cocina Fusion on our own, & it was by far the best decision we could’ve made. Marcela was such a genuine and warm person to work with. Our tasting went so well, and they were so accommodating and helpful with my husband’s family’s many food allergies/sensitivities. After the tasting, we were sold on Cocina Fusion. The food was remarkable. It was really special that we were able to incorporate the Latin fusion menu into our wedding as my father and his family are from Mexico. When it came to wedding day, Marcela was so attentive and sweet. I ended up having an awful stomach ache throughout the day (probably nerves), and she was so helpful and caring. She packed me a to go box of food, so that I could properly enjoy the food when I was feeling better. She even came by during dinner and asked me if I wanted anything from the bar, and she brought me something on her own time just to be thoughtful. I’ll truly never forget her kindness and how genuine she was throughout our whole experience. Everyone RAVED about the food- our wedding party, our friends, our family, EVERYONE. Everything was so delicious! Our favorites were the poblano chicken, ceviche, and chimichurri empanada. I wish I could order from there like takeout on weekends. The food is unreal. The staff is impeccable! The price is more affordable than a lot of other caterers who don’t have anywhere close to the style and flavor as CF. And working with Marcela was easy, & I looked forward to seeing her and connecting with her all throughout the process. Going with Cocina Fusion was the best decision we made! To those of you who think you are stuck with that set list of vendors from your venue, YOU ARE NOT. Most might charge a small fee to get out of that (our venue ended up not charging us anything), but Cocina Fusion will save you money, bring you more originality and flavor, and keep your guests away from typical “wedding food” that we know everyone loathes. th Mexican food (my husband's favorite), as well as a crepe station (my favorite) and Cocina Fusion did not disappoint.  Appetizers were served on the rooftop at sunet, specifically spinach and cheese empanadas, shredded cheese arepas, and round brioche with spinach and potato foam - the food was SO good, the bartenders kept the party vibe flowing, and the staff was friendly, responsive, and professional! Because it was late October, we were worried that we werent able to do our cocktail hour outside; we communicated our concerns to our caterer and they were empathetic, accomodating, and communicative about options and boundaries which helped us to prepare. And it all worked out! During dinner, we had a taco bar that included short-rib barbacoa, carne asada, poblano chicken, and Mexican rajas. We served Mexican rice and baked plantains, and all the taco fixings! So many people went up for seconds! Our crepe station was nutella, stawberries, banannas, blackberries, nd powered sugar. It was the perfect treat after an hour of dancing! Juliana was amazing in answering our questions and helping us to plan during the uncertainty of COVID. Her staff were unbelievable. Our point of contact for the day, Marcela, made sure that we had everything we needed at all times. We highly recommend Cocina Fusion for all of your catering needs.

At the last minute (less than a week to go) we asked if it was possible to add the Churro Cart, and we are so glad we did, as all of our guests raved about them. We loved the fusion aspect of Cocina Fusion as our wedding was a mixed cultural wedding (Mexican and American) we felt like we were able to serve food that everyone loved! We also had a lot of vegetarians and wanted to provide something other than eggplant or mushroom as an option. Cocina Fusion delivered all of that! After we had our tasting and I tried the poblano chicken, I couldn't stop dreaming about it. When people would ask what I was most excited about for the wedding, hands down I always said the food. From the initial communication all the way to saying goodbye at the end of the night, Juliana and her team were nothing but incredible to work with - especially when we had to do a super fast room flip and my family knocked over a table barely 5 minutes into dinner. We received so many compliments on how great and flavorful the food was, how well the steaks were cooked, how friendly the service was, etc. For our vegans/vegetarians - the poblano pepper was incredible, I had a few say it was the best veggie option they had. Also, we were told by a family member who has now taken her daughter (who is a picky eater) to many events that the kids plate was the best she'd ever seen! Not only is their team amazing to work with and their food incredible, but we loved supporting them and their business. After COVID canceled weddings in 2020, we were so impressed with how they responded by creating meal kits and delivering them themselves as a way to not only sustain their business, but serve the community by donating meals with every meal kit purchase. I highly, highly, highly recommend Cocina Fusion for any catering needs.

was great to work with. We worked with Juliana and she was an amazing partner through the whole catering process. She had excellent communication and was very knowledgeable and professional. For passed appetizers we had the mini crab cake, beef empanada and cheese puff with mango chutney. They were all warm when being passed, were presented very well on the trays and guests felt they were able to get plenty during cocktail hour aka they were circulated through the space well which is not always the case during cocktail hours in our experience. For dinner we had the chef salad with apples and goat cheese. The salad was crisp and the dressing was amazing. For dinner we gave guests the choice for herb and butter steak, spinach and cheese stuffed chicken breast with a cream sauce, and stuffed poblano pepper. All entrees came with baked potato cups and grilled asparagus. Guests kept complimenting the portion size and quality of the dinner. Then we had a coffee and tea station, churro chart and vanilla ice cream. This was a hit with guests as it come on a super cute cart and with all the toppings. The churros were two bite and came in a little cone so it was easy to grab and keep dancing. We also did late night snack of street tacos - carne asada, al pastor and rajas. They came out hot and fresh and were a huge hit for guests to custom make a taco or five before heading back out to the dance floor. All in all we would book Cocina Fusion again in a heart beat and would highly recommend them to any couple planning a wedding. Our guests left very full and happy with the wedding food we served.

was the best chicken she has EVER eaten. I am also a food-centric person and from the first bite at our tasting, I knew this would be more than “good wedding food” - it’s just great food, period! As far as communication and support - Juliana was so easy to work with. Even when she was out of the country she would quickly reply to my many questions! She was so great at giving suggestions for everything from table settings to the best flow for our ceremony set up to where to display the cookie table my mom prepared. Juliana and her amazing waiters and bartenders took such great care of us at the wedding, checking in with me (the bride!) but also our guests the whole night. ALL of our guests came up to us throughout the night commenting on how incredible the food and service was. We had Argentinian and Peruvian food stations since our family is South American, and the food was beyond our expectations for authenticity. The bartenders were also a joy to converse with. We got to try multiple dishes from our choosing to narrow down the menu we wanted, and every dish was both uniquely flavored and authentic. None of the food we tasted disappointed. When we finally narrowed down our choices, we went with a couple of appetizers that included a mini sope for cocktail hour, the chipotle chicken and short rib barbacoa as the entrees, along with a grilled vegetable tower and arroz con gandules as the sides. We also opted for them to provide the drinks and bartenders, along with a churro station. Due to COVID-19, we had to reschedule our wedding multiple times, yet, Cocina Fusion did everything in their power to be with us for the big day. Once the date finally settled, and we began to talk through the process and details, Marcela was the epitome of professionalism. Besides flexibility with the date change, they were also flexible with including and arranging our party favors to ensure everything was in place in a way that we pictured and made sense in the grand scheme of the reception. When the day finally came, the staff were ready on time starting with cocktail hour. The servers were making sure all the guests were asked if they wanted appetizers, and the beverages mixed by the bartenders got everyone into the festive mood we wanted them in! Dinner was served on time as well, and the servers moved like clockwork, bringing all seated guests food at the exact same time. It is the small details I noted and also received compliments on like this that made the night feel magical. The food was even more scrumptious than I remembered, which was a sentiment echoed by other guests I spoke with; a few weeks out, and I am still receiving glamorous reviews by family and friends about the food! The salad was fresh and light, the barbacoa melted in your mouth, the salsa had a yummy spicy kick to it, the chicken was tender and sauce delicious, and the vegetable tower and arroz cooked to perfection. I unfortunately did not get to try the churros, but from what other guests told me, they were on par with the quality and taste of the rest of the food. Yet, the one thing that shocked people in the best way about the dinner, besides the food, was the service. We expected the wait staff to be adequate, but describing them solely in this fashion does not do them justice. Every server went above and beyond to ensure all of our guests, and not just my wife and I, felt cared for and special. No guest emptied a plate without being asked if they wanted more, or if there was anything missing they would have liked. Numerous guests made sure to provide similar feedback to me about the staff, and one friend went as far as saying this was the best service he had ever received. As for the bartenders, they knew exactly how to keep the party going, and did a phenomenal job of keeping everyone's energy up the whole night! In summary, my hat goes off to everyone at Cocina Fusion, from the wonderful Marcela, to the brilliant chef, to the attentive waiters, and last, but certainly not least, to the amazing bartenders. They were key to making our night memorable, and provided a huge amount of joy to everyone!
