The cake was so delicious and a hit at the wedding! I finally got to eat a piece when everyone had left haha but Oh MY! I am so happy some slices were saved for us as well. The process was easy and hassle free ordering a cake. Thank you for everything!

The Cocoa Bean Bakery did a PHENOMENAL job on our wedding cake and the Grooms cake! I was so blown away by the detail in both our cakes! My groom had an intricate fishing themed cake with a fishing basket, worms, fishing poles! It was honestly INSANE! Not only were they beautiful to look at, but they tasted SO SO SO GOOD! I would recommend this bakery 100000x over!

The Cocoa Bean Bakery did an absolute AMAZING job for my wedding!! I wish there was an option to post pictures of both the wedding cake and the Groom's cake because boy, did they outdo themselves!!! We were SO impressed! Not only did both cakes taste amazing, but they looked incredible!! And I'm not just talking about your typical sports themed ice chest grooms cake, I'm talking about Darth Vader! lol (Trust me, they can do it all!) They completely blew us and our guests away! Everyone kept taking pictures because of how incredible it was! Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous! Chef Anthony is extremely talented and couldn't be more down to earth! When we went to have our cake consultation, Chef Anthony went above and beyond to really take the time to listen and help design exactly what we wanted for our wedding! He is so professional and accommodating! Do yourself a favor and have Cocoa Bean Bakery make your wedding cakes! He will not disappoint! We can't thank him enough!!

Ok, in all fairness, I had Cocoa Bean picked out as the bakery to make my wedding cake before I had my husband picked out, but when the time came around to officially get them to make the cake, BOY DID THEY DELIVER. Seriously, our guests cannot stop talking about how good the cakes were (we did both a wedding cake and a groom's cake - chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, made to look like a giant Reese's cup, everyone LOVED it). Anthony was a dream to work with, a total pro and incredibly creative. He treats his couples right!! Also, literally everything in their bakery is delicious so when you go in for consultations there's always a delicious treat to be had.

The Cocoa Bean saved our wedding! About one month prior to our ceremony our previous bakery cancelled on us, leaving us scrambling! The cocoa Bean stepped up and made our transition seamless, they were able to give us everything we wanted including a fully customized 3 tier grooms cake and a beautiful 4 tiered wedding cake. They both tasted incredible and the wedding guest agreed, with barely any left over at the end of the night. From start to finish they were so kind, every time you come in to the bakery they will not let you leave without some free baked goodies. With the Cocoa Bean you will be in great hands. We will be life long customers now!

We went through our venue The Oaks to book the cocoa bean for my wedding cake. They were so easy going and our cake was beautiful and delicious!

We had the most beautiful, simple cake from the Cocoa Bean for our wedding! Not only was it delicious (all our guests raved about it!), but it was just gorgeous and clean, how we wanted it. Anthony knew exactly how to design our cake to our wants and needs and the entire process was so easy for us! They have a great staff and great cakes.

We had the pleasure of having Chef Anthony with Cocoa Bean Bakery & Café bake all of the cakes for my daughter's wedding last weekend (DiCarlo/Crouch Wedding) in New Orleans. From the beginning of our correspondence (nine months prior), until the day of the event, Cocoa Bean was exceptionally professional. Chef Anthony was extremely easy to work with and was always responsive and detail oriented. Our wedding guests complimented on how moist and delicious the cakes were! So AMAZING!

Ya'll the Cocoa Bean Bakery is hands down the best! They are soooo sweet to their brides and they make designing your wedding cake a breeze and of course they taste AMAZING! They provided my bridal shower cake, my wedding cake, AND we had a dessert bar for our wedding and they provided mini pastries and fried hand pies! My guest are still talking about their desserts to this day. They are very reasonably priced and super talented! I would recommend them not only for your wedding, but ANY of your cake or dessert needs. Thank you guys so much for being a part of our big day!

The Cocoa Bean is beyond AMAZING! They are so down to earth and sweet. They go above and beyond for their clients and will exceed your expectations. I will never order another cake from anywhere else besides here. The owner is so sweet!! He will make you feel so cared for and loved when you leave from your meeting with him if you are doing a wedding cake here! Their flavors are to die for! My mother in law insisted we find the best cake around because everyone always talks about whether the cake was good or bad at a wedding and boy did people talk! They said so many good things about our cakes, how beautiful they were but most of all how good they tasted! We had a total of 3 cakes and they were all almost gone! Recommend them 12/10!!

Those who have tasted a cocoa bean cakes, know it’s a cocoa bean cake! & those who haven’t are definitely asking “where did you get this cake!? It’s amazing!” We did all our wedding festivity cakes with them and I have never once had anything less than perfection any time! The cake and decoration is always top notch. Not to mention there’s not much they CANT DO!! I will be a cocoa bean customer for life!

My fiance really wanted sprinkles on our wedding cake and Mr. Anthony went above and beyond to make that happen for us in such a classy way finding white sprinkles for us! Very easy to work with, reasonable pricing, and amazing flavors!! It was hard to pick just one that we loved, so we ended up doing several different flavors for our wedding cake! Anthony is great to meet with and lets you taste all the different flavor combos and gets an idea of what you want for your cake. Great experience!!

Even before I started planning my wedding, I have always gotten my cakes from the Cocoa Bean. No other cakes can compare to theirs. They not only look amazing, but they taste amazing too! I had no doubts when choosing a bakery because no one can compare to how amazing the Cocoa Bean is! People look forward to the cake at weddings and mine did not disappoint.

The wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. Chef Anthony made the entire process fun. He was ready to listen and be creative. There were so many options for flavors. Each layer was different. They did the groom's cake as well. He wanted carrot cake-unbelievably good. Less than an hour away if you are from NOLA but so worth it. Take the time. His prices are so reasonable and his products so worth it.

I'm writing this review with one goal: to convince any couple getting married in southern Louisiana to hire Cocoa Bean (out of Hammond, LA) for all their wedding cake needs. To say this place provides quality taste and design is a tremendous understatement. Not only was this the best cake I've ever put in my mouth, but the architecture, structure, and overall design was simply phenomenal. As a groom who wanted a Mario Kart 64 cake (yeah, for real), my cake demands were high. I provided the cake bosses some Mario Kart action figure cake toppers for like 15 bucks off Amazon, and sent them a word document with a general structure idea for the cake. Not that I wanted to be picky, but I just didn't think they would have any idea how to make a Mario Kart race out of a cake. And I'll be the first to admit, the difficulty level on building my cake was about as high as I could imagine for a cake. What resulted, however, honestly cannot be described any other way than a true work of art. It's like if Vincent Van Gogh resurrected and spent years crafting a true masterpiece. I'm not kidding; it should be in a freaking museum. It was the greatest cake ever created. I secretly cringed when people started eating it because I want to preserve it and put it in some sort of Cake Hall of Fame. It was THAT awesome. The roads looked real, the cake toppers were placed perfectly, the design and background of the walls looked EXACTLY like the game, the top of the cake had Mario and Peach at the finish line, sprinkling some nerdy romance in there. They designed fondant shells, bananas, mushrooms... THE WORKS. The cake was complimented by any and all guest under the age of 30 who knew remotely what Mario Kart was. Everyone loved it. I was getting compliments from vendors, by-passers, janitors, and about 6 million other random people when it was inevitably posted on Facebook and Instagram by like half the guests at the wedding. I can't go without bragging on the actual Wedding Cake, too. We were lucky because it was set up to be the centerpiece of the wedding. When you walked into the main room, the cake was the first thing you saw. We put it behind this greenery hedgewall thing that my bride came up with, and the whole thing was honestly breath-taking. And just when you thought you couldn't like the cake any more, that's when we tasted it. We had fun with the layers, doing raspberry on one, chocolate on one, I think one was even fun-fetti. It didn't matter, because they were ALL DELICIOUS. Too tasty, actually; the floor was crumbling by the end of the night because of all the collective pounds people gained scarfing down this delectable treat all night from the moment it was cut. Cocoa Bean knew exactly what vibe my bride wanted for her cake - southern elegance, and they executed it to perfection. And they also created a difficult Mario Kart masterpiece for me that stole the show. The workers at Cocoa Bean and the ultimate cake boss were great to deal with throughout the process. They were open to ideas and creatively implanted their own. I'm struggling to come up with more words for how satisfied I was with our cakes. I fell in love with the cakes as though they were a second bride. But seriously, hire these people. They are the ABSOLUTE BEST.

Cocoa Bean is the cutest little bakery in Hammond, tucked away in a quite little nook. Wish that I could post a picture of my cake because it was beautiful! I showed Chef Anthony a picture that I had found on Pinterest of a cake with gold drips down the side and he nailed it. I was so nervous that is was going to turn out not how I wanted it. I've seen drip cakes done very terribly before. But it came out beautifully and the blue accent color on my cake matched the bridesmaid's dresses perfectly!

Chef Anthony did a phenomenal job with our wedding cakes and cupcakes! We had 3 varieties of cupcakes, a wedding cake, and groom's cake. He completely designed the groom's cake with just some description from us and he did an amazing job. The best part is that it tasted AMAZING. We had so many guests contacting us after to ask where the cakes were from. When we went for our cake tasting and first met Chef Anthony, we knew we wouldn't go anywhere else. His personality is contagious and we immediately knew he would make our wedding day perfect. I showed him a Pinterest photo of my wedding cake inspiration and he somehow made it look BETTER! I can't say enough about Cocoa Bean other than look no further. We'll be getting our cakes for every event from them from now on! Thanks SO much for making our wedding cake dreams come true. It couldn't have been more perfect.

The Cocoa Bean outdid themselves once again with my wedding cake. We got both the bride and groom's cake and they were both phenomenal. The bride's cake was carrot and strawberry shortcake and the groom's cake was red velvet. I don't know which was the best and everyone talked about how wonderful it was! Anthony and his staff were wonderful! I don't know why you'd go anywhere else!

Anthony hit the nail on the head straight on when it came to my wedding cake! My now husband and I weren't able to do an in-person consultation, so he pretty much went off pictures I sent to him on their website. So amazed and happy how the cake turned out! We got tons of great comments on the cake! Highly recommend The Cocoa Bean always!

Fantastic!! I went on blind faith from a referral and had a destination wedding in New Orleans! I only spoke with them on the phone and sent pictures. The bride and groom did a cake tasting and chose the flavor for each tier. We showed up to the most beautiful cake we’ve ever seen!!!! An amazing surprise! The grooms cake was a giant tiered king cake, a huge hit as well! Can’t thank them enough for the beautiful cakes !

I seriously could not say enough good things about this place. They were the first place we did a cake tasting and man did they set the bar high. No where else even came close! Their prices are unbeatable as well. Everyone there is so nice and knowledgable and didn't mind that I called probably way too many times... The cakes turned out perfectly, down to every last detail. I had several special requests that they accommodated with ease. Everyone loved the cakes! I could not have asked for a better bakery.

Chef Anthony and his staff are AWESOME. I had to be very budget minded while planning the wedding and I found that other bakeries were not very attentive once they realized i was limited on how much i could spend, but not The Cocoa Bean. The consultation/tasting was wonderful, he was open to our crazy request for the groom's cake. Him and his staff were so responsive whenever i had questions. They delivered on time and everything tasted amazing. I cant go to Hammond without stopping by the bakery any more, he really has a gift!

A hidden gem in Hammond with the most delicious cake you can imagine. They can provide you with a tasting box to-go with a sample of their most popular flavors and fillings. We never got a chance to meet with Anthony personally, but he completely got my daughter's vision via email and executed it perfectly. Groom's cake, a standing penguin with top hat, was adorable. This is a smallish bakery and they get very busy, so be sure to get your booking and deposit in early. They are so worth it!!

When I first started looking for bakers, I put in a request on Facebook. Many friends responded one of which I knew got married in Metairie. I thought it curious that she would pick a baker all the way from Hammond when her wedding was far away, but now I completely understand. My wedding cake was phenomenal! I actually had 7 individual cakes for my wedding cakes that represented each year my husband and I had been together. My husband's grooms cake was a yeti cooler with a fish tail sticking out of it. Not only were all of my cakes delicious, but they were works of art. I would highly recommend the Cocoa Bean for all of your cake needs!

Anthony made our wedding cake and groom's cake. My husband and I absolutely loved both. He took my vision and made it even better. Both cakes were exactly what we wanted and sooooo delicious. This is one of my all time favorite bakeries! They did exactly what we asked and more!! We wanted cannolis as our wedding cake and they were delicious and beautiful! My husband wanted a cigar box as his grooms cake and everyone thought is was real! Perfect!

Even though we got married in New Orleans, our wedding cake was made in Hammond at The Bean. It arrived fresh and looking absolutely perfect. We had fresh fruit decorating our cake because it's my favorite cake pairing and everything I wanted was there. Every time we order a cake from Anthony I get the most compliments. It truly made my day when everything was perfect!

Chef Anthony made a stunning wedding cake that he allowed me to design (with a lot of his help, of course). The cake was not only beautiful but it was delicious! He also made an amazing Eye of the Tiger groom's cake for my husband. Highly recommend!!!

The Cocoa Bean cafe was one of my best vendors. Chef Anthony and his staff provided outstanding customer service and a wedding cake and grooms cake that both looked and tasted fantastic. Regarding customer service, Cocoa Bean was responsive to my calls and emails, which was crucial because I planned everything out of town. We dropped in on the cafe a few days before the wedding, and Chef Anthony made time to sit down with us, review the final cake details, and let us taste the grooms cake - all without an appointment. Chef Anthony was extremely flexible regarding flavors and toppings in the cake, to the point that he agreed to try to make our grooms cake with ube, a purple yam popular in the Philippines, even though he had never cooked with it before. We thought it was very impressive that he was willing to work with us and make a new flavor of cake, and it turned out to be delicious. He made it shaped like a crab basket, and it was so realistic that a number of our wedding guests didn't know it was a cake! The main wedding cake was also beautiful, with some of the icing decorations based on the designs on my dress, and everything was delivered on time and exactly how we wanted it. Their baked goods and breakfast sold in the bakery are also very good. I would recommend Cocoa Bean Cafe to anyone.

We used Cocoa Bean for our wedding cake and our groom's cake. They were so good! Anthony, the baker, was amazing to work with. When we went in for a tasting he drew us our dream cake, we didn't have to find something we liked, I told him my vision and he made it happen! We did traditional almond with white icing for our cake and chocolate cake with chocolate icing for our groom's cake. Both were amazing and very fresh! You could tell they were not made and frozen days before. My guests raved about how yummy they were and took some home for later!

I still am at a loss for words on how amazing the groom's cake turned out. We wanted the cake to look like our beloved bull terrier, Spike. Chef Anthony exceeded our expectations and created a life size replica. Our guests went crazy over the cake and I think half the guests posted pics of the cake to social media. Not only did the cake look good but it tasted amazing. We had no groom's cake left! Our bridal cake was also amazing and beautiful. We had a strawberry filling that was delicious. Both of our cakes and delivery to our venue, which was probably an hour from the bakery, was all under $1000. You cannot beat the value and price.

Anthony and his team at Cocoa Bean Bakery were wonderful. We had a personalized cake tasting a few months before our wedding to see what cake we liked best...and we loved them all! Making the final decision was difficult! I was really unsure of what I wanted my wedding cake to look like but I sent Anthony several pictures of different cakes I found online and my finished product was not only perfect and beautiful but also delicious. The prices at Cocoa Bean are some of the best around. He charges a flat rate depending on what cake you pick...and you go from there. There aren't any hidden or extra charges involved. He is straightforward and easy to work with. My now husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the process with Cocoa Bean. Not only was my wedding cake beautiful but the groom's cake was beyond amazing. My husband loves to fish and the cake that Anthony came up with was so neat and intricate. For a one of a kind cake, go with Cocoa Bean!

Anthony was awesome. Very nice and helpful. Listened to everything and helped us keep the cost down. The cake itself was so yummy and beautiful. The grooms cake was so cool and he had put a cap on the price for it. Set up was professional and price wasn't too high.

Anthony's cakes are delicious. Everyone at our wedding raved about how great it tasted. The wedding cake was beautiful and exactly how I envisioned. The groom's cake was the highlight of many of our guests' night. Anthony created a three dimensional TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space, it is a Doctor Who thing) cake for my husband who is a giant Doctor Who fan. He matched the color and everything perfectly. Since my wedding my family has started using Cocoa Bean for all of their special occasion cakes. I recommend Cocoa Bean to anyone and everyone I know who needs a cake, not just for weddings.

My husband and I went once to the bakery and told Anthony exactly what we wanted our cake to look like and it was spot on! The grooms cake was a giant oreo replica and was amazing! Everyone at the wedding raved at how awesome both cakes were. We borrowed the cake stand from the shop and had it returned the next day with just a refundable deposit. They were the most reasonable bakery in the area and drove to Mandeville for the wedding at no extra charge. Also, he never lets you leave empty handed when coming in to the shop.. free slice of cake on the house!

Anthony is a great pastry chef. He asked us what we wanted for our wedding cake, and he drew a sketch of what it would look like. So happy to see it look exactly that way on our wedding day. His cakes are moist and delicious!

Cocoa Bean Bakery is unbelievably amazing! The owner Anthony is so talented at what he does. The cake was delicious and so beautiful! He knew exactly what I wanted and sketched it out for me. He captured everything I wanted in my wedding cake. But mostly is was so tasty, and moist, and elegant! Everyone still tells me how great my wedding cake was. Also, of all the places we tried out, Cocoa bean Bakery was extremely cost friendly! Since I was an out of town bride, we will be back on anniversaries and plan on getting a small cake every time!!!
