We did a 2 year engagement, so over the course of those 2 years I had tons of questions for Jenny (I'm sure she got tired of seeing all my emails lol) and she answered each and every one of them right away!!! She was such a big help and our wedding wouldn't have been as perfect as it was without her!!! I was super upset that it rained the day of our wedding because our ceremony was supposed to be outside, but Jenny calmed me down and reassured me that it was going to be beautiful inside just like it would outside. And, she was right...our ceremony and all the decorations looked gorgeous, even better than it would have looked like outside!!! All of our guests complemented on how gorgeous our ceremony and reception was, and I have Jenny to thank for that...she is a miracle worker!!! If you're looking for a gorgeous venue with yummy food and top shelf liquor for your wedding, and don't want any hidden fee's like a lot of venues, then Cog Hill is the place for you!!!

One of the reasons we chose Cog Hill was because it includes everything for one incredible price, which includes white glove service, a plated 5-course delicious meal, 4 hours of open bar, unlimited wine at dinner, and a champagne toast for the couple. For an additional $200 we also held our ceremony at Cog Hill. Even though we had mini bundt cakes, the venue also does not charge a cake-cutting fee. They set up all the decor for us and even boxed everything up for us at the end of our wedding day. We knew they would decorate, but boxing up our decorations was such a nice touch to complete a wonderful experience at Cog Hill. All of the staff we worked with were amazing. In addition, Cog Hill is BEAUTIFUL! We were married on a cold and chilly October evening, and getting married in front of the main hall's fireplace was absolutely magical. Our guests continue to comment on how beautiful the space was! You will not regret hosting your wedding ceremony and/or reception at Cog Hill! It is truly a gem in the Chicagoland area!

Definitely one of the best meals I have ever had at a wedding reception! I would definitely recommend Cog Hill to anyone! The clubhouse is gorgeous, the food is outstanding, and service is perfect!

The reception room is elegant and classic. The food was amazing! With sorbet before our plated dinner - how elegant! Tabitha and staff were very accommodating and worked so hard and made it so easy for us and helped so much and worked with us to do ALL we wanted and even more than we asked for. I would rate this venue, food, drinks, and staff - above 5 stars. Everything was PERFECT and AMAZING!!! The venue had a perfect location for the live band. Our band the Band Sundance completed the perfect night with an 8 piece live band that really engaged the crowd and made it so fun. Clearly everyone was having fun when the bride and groom sing and play the tambourine and cowbell with the band!!!

I made my own centerpieces so there were a lot of pieces to be set up, and Tabitha and her team really spent time to make everything look the best. We were married 5-27-17, Memorial Day weekend, so our guests were able to really use the outdoor patio with the beautiful weather. We took all our photos at Cog Hill which provided endless beautiful backgrounds. My favorite was the big red barn. We received countless compliments on the venue-its beauty, how unique it is, the outdoor space. Everyone had a great time with the bar selection and food. We even had a child say it reminded them of Beauty and the Beast! I loved that we were the only wedding in the space! I did not want to have our reception where we were 1 of 3 weddings. Everything went smooth. The only hiccups were that we did not have enough chairs for the ceremony but luckily it was a short ceremony so it wasn't too bad. Also, cleaning up at the end of the night was a bit chaotic. We had brought in a lot of our our own decor, linens, chargers and vases so there was a lot to pack up at the end of the night. But it was fine! Overall, Cog Hill was a great place for a wedding. Jenny and all the Cog Hill staff were great to work with. We had such a memorable wedding thanks to such a beautiful venue!

Wedding guests were able to gather on the dance floor, on the patio, in the banquet hall, or even in the front bar. Although, it was tough for me to mingle and greet all guests, everyone raved! The food was absolutely superb. We chose to have all meals plated. My parents were a little weary about the efficiency of service for hot food, but after the fact, the service was first class. We also liked the fact that all tables have bottled wine on the table during the five course meal. A month after our wedding, family and friends still tell us how much they enjoyed themselves and loved Cog Hill at our wedding.

the bar staff was incredible no one was waiting for a drink at a wedding of 200 people. The patio there is perfect for talking, drinking, cigar smoking, sparklers and pictures. I maybe biased because it was my wedding but it was hands down the best venue I have been to for a wedding. Would recommend to anyone I know with an upcoming wedding. Also a free foursome!

We received so many compliments on how great the food was and how beautiful the room was. All in all I could not have asked for a better night and if I had everything to do all over again I would choose Cog Hill again!

We were made to feel like taking photos on the golf course was absurd instead of customary at the location. My suggestion would be to plan on taking photos at another location. Everything else was perfect for us and we would highly recommend the facility, especially for the very manageable cost!

My wedding here was really beautiful. Everyone complemented me on the venue. I was so happy when first walking in and seeing my favors, flowers, picture frames, etc. all laid out (although I think my florist was really responsible for pulling off my look and making everything perfect..I saw her kind of moving around things when I first walked in :-) I love my first dance photos with the grandiose fire place and windows in the background. Also, the appetizers were very good (bacon-wrapped scallops especially). And the family style meal was great..although most people were so full from appetizers they could hardly eat anymore. Another important note is that they completely open the bar to you, no restrictions on the liquor options and the bartenders were pouring strong drinks all night long. A few guests really enjoyed having beer options outside of the traditional domestics as well. Downside is that they are kind of rigid when it comes to decorating, time (you can't go beyond 5.5 hours), and creativity in general (weren't too excited about my late night food idea because it would mean more work for them to clean up). The staff is male dominated so the planning just lacked female warmth if you get what I mean. Although I should note that they had no problem with my flip flops and glow stick favors...they turned the lights almost completely off around the dance floor so it turned into an amazing rave party for the last couple hours (I was so happy when I first walked by the dance floor and saw nothing but wild glow sticks wipping through the air!!!) I also brought in a bunch of props that my friends broke out for the harlem shake toward the end of the night. I didn't warn them ahead of time, ha, so they didn't have an opportunity to tell me no. Overall, I definitely recommend Cog Hill. Suits a vintage style nicely and makes for a wedding that people will remember.

a lot of compliments on it. The only thing I didn't really like was that we weren't able to set up our decorations beforehand, so we had to trust that they would do everything correctly. Luckily, I am an organizational freak and I printed out very specific directions with photos, so the chances of them screwing anything up were very slim. However, my husband was there early for groom prep photos and he did have to give them some pointers on some things. There was one particular thing that they did that would have looked really ridiculous (had it not been corrected by my husband) and it just made me feel like they need to get someone in there with some sense of style. It would be to their benefit to have an actual event planner that knows what looks good. However, I know that golf is their main priority so, as long as you have someone to correct their potential decor mistakes, then it will be fine. Everything turned out great!

If you have your wedding here please make sure you do NOT work with Dan. Apparently he has been there for 12 years and I think it would be best for everyone involved that he moves on. I think over the years he has forgotten that he is in the service industry. Rather than being a source for helpful advice, suggestions and support he choose to "help" more coordinate this pretty important event in my life with mockery and lots of sarcasm. Everything I asked for he just made it seem like it was such an inconvenience and so over the top/unreasonable. There is a man there named Jim and he is the one you want to work with. He was very helpful and actually treated us like he was happy we were there and appreciated our business. At the end of my wedding Dan grabbed a big bag and started stuffing it with our candles. That's great except for the fact that we placed cylinders and plates around/below all of the large candles so that the wax did not get on their furniture. So basically, he wanted us out of there so bad he was throwing hundreds of dollars worth of loose glass into a big blue IKEA bag with chunky 10"-20" candles...guaranteed to break every single piece of glass he put in there. At the end of the wedding, after we packed all of our stuff up, he was standing not even 3' from me and just waived goodbye. I walked over to him and shook his hand like professional adults would. There was no congratulations, thank you for spending thousands of dollars with us....nothing. I guess he just wanted to be consistent with his level of professionalism from start to finish.
