ceived a review like this. Let me first address your description of our parking lot. We have a gravel/blacktop parking area with designated marked spots for 200+ wedding guest to park as well as parking along the pasture fence. I will have to assume you are referring to the parking along the pasture when you stated that a vehicle "got stuck". I will also have to assume that that wedding date had been preceded with a rain causing the ground to be saturated. While we are very sorry that the vehicle got stuck and wish that the parties involved had sought assistance from our numerous staff members as well as the security officer we have on duty and not involved other wedding guests to push out a car when wearing such nice attire. Our staff is on property to help with all sorts of needs during and following every event held here at Cold Creek Farm. Secondly, our website clearly states that this is a working farm with livestock animals. Every couple who selects Cold Creek Farm as their wedding venue is more than aware that the animals will be seen and quite possibility heard on their wedding day. Some couples actually hope that a donkey might join in saying the vows or that the rooster gives a "Hip-hip hooray" when the preacher announces them as husband and wife!! Couples tour the property thoroughly knowing that other than the dogs & cats, all animals will be out in their natural setting. That includes the horses and donkeys in the pastures as well as the chickens, with a few roosters, in their chicken coop. We certainly understand that not all wedding guests are into the "farm fresh feel" however we can only assume that since this couple picked this setting as their wedding venue that they are. Lastly, I'd like to address the pigpen sighting. I'm unsure of where you saw any pigpens on our property. We have a barn used for the reception as well as a barn with stalls for the horses/donkeys but there are no other structures on our property here at Cold Creek Farm that even closely resembles a hog farrow. The buffet area is located on the front of the barn and if you happened to look out the windows you would have seen the front pasture and there are no building structures at all in the pasture. And if you had looked out the north end of the barn, in the direction of the ceremony space, you would have seen in the distance the horse/donkey barn. We currently are expanding the reception space behind the barn but that is not an area any guest should have been in. Due to the expansion and construction there are unfinished areas that may have appeared "muddy" especially as mentioned above if there had been a recent rain prior to the wedding day. We certainly hope that your overall experience and time spent with the happy couple that night was not defined by the opinion you have shared on this review. We also ask that you keep in mind the couple selected this property for their wedding venue, obviously the space we have to offer, the surroundings, décor, details we provide, time spent working by our staff and care we show to our couples had great value to them and any negative opinion of the area and property is an opinion against the decision of the couple as much as it is on the venue.
