I can't begin to describe how incredible Colleen Schmidt is as a wedding photographer and person in general. She did a tremendous job of capturing "real" photos that show our happiness, laughter, and love, and she made sure that my husband and I looked natural and relaxed yet posed in a way that would photograph well. She listened to what was important to us and the style that we wanted our photos to embody - feeling comfortable, capturing candid moments, and bright & cheery photos. We experienced a wide array of weather events on our wedding day - everything from fog to full, bright sun to pouring rain, wet grass, and very high winds. Her photography expertise allowed her to capture us in the moment without being phased for a second by what was out of her control. She had a positive and uplifting attitude throughout our entire wedding day that contributed to us and our whole wedding party having so much taking photos with her - and that fun shows up in the photos!! She is incredibly skilled in knowing how to capture everything from up-close detail shots to wide-angle, all-encompassing portraits. She has a happy, joyful, bubbly personality that was infectious to everyone around, and she did a great job of instructing our large wedding party and different family portrait groups with poise, organization, timeliness, and a sense of calm. As a vendor, she had clear communication and a streamlined, detailed, and organized review process from signing the contract through the final photo delivery and album creation. We also gave her a checklist of the family members and specific reception decorations that we wanted pictures of and she made sure every single item was captured perfectly. Finding and hiring Colleen was easily one of the best decisions that we made throughout our wedding planning process - and I couldn't be happier knowing that we have physical documentation of our wedding day through her photos that we will cherish and look back on with such joy and happiness for the rest of our lives.

It's hard to put into words how much of an impact Colleen made on our wedding day. She got to know my husband & I during our engagement session and she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole process. I felt so at ease when she walked in the door on the day of our wedding & had tears in my eyes when it was time for her to leave. She captured every moment of our day perfectly. When I look back at our photos I can feel what I was feeling in that moment just by looking at them. On top of being a truly exceptional photographer, Colleen is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. She is a beautiful person who truly cares for the people she's photographing. If you’re considering Colleen to capture your wedding, DO IT. She is the absolute best. She was so easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding and made us feel so comfortable during photos. Her energy made for the most fun and perfect pictures. We are beyond happy we chose Colleen to capture our wedding day and our pictures turned out so beautiful!

Absolutely amazing is an understatement. Colleen was so easy to work with for our wedding. Planning a wedding during Covid was a challenge, but because of Colleen, photography was the one thing I never worried about throughout the entire process. Colleen not only helped me figure out issues with other parts of the wedding, but gave me words of encouragement and was always so positive. Colleen makes everyone feel comfortable while making sure her clients get exactly what they want in their pictures.
