Collision Six Join the party...
Collision Six is a professional, versatile and high-energy band operating out of Metro Detroit. Simply put, we are passionate about being the best at what we do -- creating unforgettable experiences for our clients and their guests!
We do that by collaborating with our clients to bring their unique vision to life. That includes taking the time to learn and understand what they're looking for before we sign a contract, and then locking arms to make sure that vision is realized.
We take a professional approach to the planning process, guiding our clients through the design of their timeline and the song choices that make their night special, and we're going to make it easy and fun for you. On event day, we'll be there early to make sure everything looks and sounds great before any of your guests arrive. Then, it's party time!
We are NOT a group of hired-gun musicians or a group of individual musicians assembled for an event. Our band performs together every weekend and rehearses during the week so we can do things other bands simply can't do. Our performance builds as we transition smoothly from song-to-song, and our song selection includes music from every generation that is mixed and mashed up in ways that will keep people on their feet (and on their toes!). The best part? -- it's all done with 100% live music (no computer tracks) so we can keep our attention on the vibe in the room, and we can pivot if a song doesn't hit the way we thought it might. Add some interactive lighting and the high-energy showmanship, and you're ready for a party people are going to be talking about for years to come!
Collision Six provides options for services and pricing that can be customized to suit your needs and preferences. That includes music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. It can include additional musicians beyond our core 8-piece group and lots more! We also include an MC, a sound system and audio engineer, interactive lighting and a planning meeting with Matt (band leader + MC).

Collision Six made our wedding! They not only brought the music but they brought the energy. Everything was perfect! The ceremony music was beautiful and the party music was exactly what we were looking for. Matt did an amazing job helping us to feel prepped and comfortable leading up to our special day. Collision Six absolutely killed it on our wedding night. The entire process working with Matt was first class. From the initial meeting getting to know each other all the way up to the wedding night, it was clear that Matt’s primary focus was to have a collaborative process culminating in a night to remember. Matt was meticulous with all the details leading up to the big day and truly made it stress free for us. Most importantly though, the band is incredible. When we wanted our first dance to be to a Greta Van Fleet song, we assumed they would just play a downloaded track. But instead, the band learned the song and Sarah’s vocal performance was spectacular. The dance floor was packed all night, especially during the last hour when they rocked the house with 2000s punk rock hits (our favorite). We cannot thank Matt and Collision Six enough for making our wedding party an unforgettable night. If you have the opportunity to book them, do it!

What an amazing band! We had Collision Six play our wedding this past Memorial Day weekend in Detroit! From the very beginning, Matt and his team were easy to work with and enthusiastic for us throughout the entire process. For the wedding day, they handled everything behind the scenes (setup, coordination with the venue and photographer, creating and learning our special songs, etc.) to emceeing and creating an unforgettable live music experience. We truly were able to enjoy the day and take in all the special moments with our loved ones.
We spent a lot of time getting to know Matt throughout the process. He made sure we were creating the wedding celebration we wanted and was always willing to collaborate with us on our ideas. For example, we decided to have live piano for our ceremony music and ended up selecting some pretty unique songs. When we pitched them to Collision Six, they had no problem learning them for us and played them perfectly! It made for a beautiful ceremony!
Matt and team created fun playlists for our cocktail hour and dinner music, with Matt emceeing throughout the night. They followed up with the most amazing 3 hours of live music that kept our dance floor packed all night long. They played a wide variety of songs that kept all our guests (from ages 2 to 91!) a part of the celebration.
Their talent for music speaks for itself and is elevated by their ability to execute our event to perfection.
There is nothing like live music. It truly made for an unforgettable night, not only for us but also for our friends and family! If you’re looking for a band to play your wedding, we cannot recommend Collision Six enough!

Booking Collision Six was one of the best decisions we could have made for our wedding day. We booked them immediately after booking our venue because of their experience managing the acoustics at our venue. From that first discussion with Matt Rappaport we knew we were dealing with real professionals. Matt understood everything from the creative aspects to making a wedding day come to life to the logistical and technical details and considerations to making the day run smoothly. He also manages other bands in the area and was able to provide several options for us to see which would be the best fit. I especially appreciated his very structured and organized process throughout which kept us on schedule and never stressed about any decision making or detail being missed. The band was our top priority so we had a lot of opinions and preferences on what we wanted maybe unfortunately for Matt we were so picky haha). He would listen to our concerns and preferences and then provide his expertise and recommendations, which we relied on. Matt was our MC and he executed PERFECTLY in keeping the energy levels of our large number of guests high. Collision Six the band itself is hands down one of the best wedding bands (I promise I’m not biased, even the NFL chose them as their draft day band) they are so great live and many of our guests commented on how good they were. C6 played all three of our first dance songs live and we had a packed dance floor until the very end. We’re so thrilled we went with Collision Six and can’t recommend them enough!

Collision Six and Detroit Event Company did an outstanding job performing at our wedding, but what really sets them apart was their professionalism, communication/organization skills, and enthusiasm every step of the way. Matt is direct and goes out of his way to make sure you know exactly what to expect and never leaves you hanging, unlike many vendors in the creative / entertaining space. He was very intentional and enthusiastic in getting to know us so that he could ensure we got exactly what we wanted... and we did!
They did live music at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and the dance floor was packed until the venue kicked us out! We loved that they learned our first dance songs and even provided some lists of suggestions, which was very much appreciated, since making so many decisions with wedding planning can be overwhelming.
They performed at the NFL draft in April, which made us extra excited to have them play live at our wedding!
Overall, you can expect 10/10 performance AND service/professionalism throughout the whole process when you work with Matt and Collision Six. Since Matt also manages other bands in the area, he can help you find something to work with your budget and taste, even if Collision Six is booked or out of your price range.

WOW. I struggle to find the words to describe how incredible Collision Six is. Leading up to our wedding, Matt was extremely professional, organized, and positive. He knows how to ask the right questions to understand what the couple/client wants for their event, and boy do they deliver! Collision Six kept our guests on the dance floor all night. They are so talented and really know how to read a crowd when choosing songs. They also played during our cocktail hour which was so classy and lovely, and the set up professional lighting scaffolds on the dance floor which really elevates the space and makes it feel like a concert. The band was absolutely outstanding for our wedding reception! The band leader, Matt, was super organized and thorough throughout the entire planning process. Collision six made my wedding the best night ever. They met with my husband and I multiple times before the wedding to make sure everything was perfect for the wedding day. They thought of every detail and had great suggestions for ways to time things, order of events, etc. The music itself was an absolute hit! They kept the dance floor packed all night long. The evening of the wedding was an absolute blast, and it's all thanks to the band's high energy and undeniable talent. From the moment they started playing, they had the entire crowd on their feet. It was like they had an innate ability to gauge the crowd's energy and tailor their performance to keep everyone engaged and excited. A band is definitely something that can make or break your party and was a decision I really wanted to make sure we got right. Picking Collision Six was a huge part of making our wedding such an amazing time. We kept our reception going until 1am and the band made sure to keep the people out on the dance floor all night long. Not only are they super talented artists (singing & playing) they were also super easy to work with. Matt made us feel like we knew the gameplan going into the night which was definitely comforting. He was extremely organized with timeline and getting all our speakers looped in ahead of time as well. They went above and beyond and surprised us with learning & playing an extra (very obscure) song we wanted to hear which made us super pumped on the dance floor. We got a ton of compliments on them from our guests and couldn't have been happier with them! If you're considering a band look no further - they absolutely crushed it and made our night.

We first heard Collision Six a few years ago at a wedding, and we immediately knew that we needed them for our own wedding. From the moment that we reached out, Matt was incredibly helpful in the planning process. He covered every detail with us and helped make sure that our wedding day went off without a hitch. Matt went above and beyond to make sure that our special requests were incorporated. We were incredibly excited to see how the band would pull everything together for our wedding.
Once the wedding day approached, everything was perfect. The ceremony music was beautiful and helped to set the tone for the day. From the moment that our reception started, the band kept the energy up. Their setlist was perfect and kept the dance floor packed all night! They even handled a last second request for our grandmother in stride, helping to make an incredible memory for our family. The energy never wavered, and it helped make our wedding a day that we’ll never forget.

We had Collision 6 perform at our wedding and they were everything we wanted and more! Not only were they amazing performers and had the dance floor packed all night long, but working with them was an absolute delight. HIRE COLLISION SIX FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! From the moment we signed our contract, they were readily available to answer any of our questions and they truly held our hands through the entire wedding planning process. Not only did they function as a band, but Matt essentially functioned as a second wedding coordinator and was absolutely fantastic to work with. We had multiple in person meetings where he not only went into specifics about music/lighting/stage, but he also set up our entire wedding day timeline. On the day of the wedding he made sure that we knew exactly where we were going, what was coming next, and that the entire wedding ran on time. AND LET'S TALK ABOUT THE MUSIC AND ENERGY that they brought! They really read the room and played a perfect mix of oldies, classics, top hits, and slow songs. There wasn't a moment where our dance floor wasn't PACKED. My family and friends cannot stop complimenting the band and how it was the best wedding music they've ever heard. Amazing music, stellar dance moves - just an all around phenomenal performance!! We keep replaying all of the videos we have, singing and dancing, surrounded by all our family and friends! I cannot begin to describe how amazing this band is. The music throughout all parts of our wedding was absolutely perfect and they KILLED IT during the reception. They were dialed in the whole night and made sure my wife and I and our guests had an unforgettable time. Besides the talent, energy, and pure hype they brought to the actual wedding night, they were instrumental in helping us plan and always provided a calming presence throughout an otherwise stressful process. We absolutely loved working with Matt and Collision 6. Leading up to the wedding, Matt was incredibly detailed and organized, helping to walk us through all of the options he had to offer and learned about our vision to help us choose the right package for us. I am a wedding photographer and recently photographed a wedding at the Dearborn Inn with Collision Six. This was our first time working together as vendors and it was a great professional experience. But more importantly, they were AMAZING. I'm lucky to hear a lot of great bands at weddings but Collision Six was top notch. Me and my 2nd photographer stayed over an hour beyond the time we needed to for photography just because the music was so good and for us, the crowd was dancing like crazy, which makes for the best photos.
Not only were they amazing musicians, but they were good as MCs, and "hosting" the evening, the sound was great throughout the entire space and they had a variety of genres of music in their repertoire. If I were planning my own wedding, Collision Six would definitely be at the top of my list and I'll be recommending them to future couples for sure.

When we first started wedding planning, I told my husband that one of my deal breakers was having a live band. We found Collision Six through my cousin who had them play at her wedding, however, we were unable to attend due to COVID restrictions at the time. When we first met with Matt, we knew we would be taken care of. The process he has designed and laid out in choosing a band was very clear and easy to follow. Matt also offered his advice when we were torn between two venues which I was very much appreciative of. Matt was always available via email even though his schedule was probably just as busy as ours. I will admit that I was nervous about paying up for Collision Six's prices, as it was easily the most expensive part of our wedding outside of the venue itself. I cannot express how Collision Six blew us out of the water on our wedding day!! Matt and his team were so incredibly helpful and thorough throughout the process of planning our wedding. Even from the very first consultation call with Collision Six, they were putting us at ease for our wedding. Throughout the process we always felt that Matt and his team really cared about the performance that they would put on and wanted us and our guests to have a great time, probably almost as much as we did. They were prompt to send us an extensive catalog of songs to choose from for both DJing and the Live band. All communication with Matt and his team was prompt and very helpful. They are the epitome of professional.
Now get to the wedding day…. the reception was off the charts!!! Every song choice fit perfectly into the flow of the reception, and they kept the dance floor packed all night! The band even played live for all the first dances which was very special. They were very fun and high energy, and we've received countless compliments from guests about how much they loved the band. Matt even jumped onto the dance floor (which I loved!!). My husband and I did not get off the dance floor once as the party was rocking! First of all, it’s hard to put into words how amazing Collision Six's overall performance was – they truly were the highlight of our wedding reception! The experience from start to finish with Collision Six was second to none. They made an extremely conscious effort to develop a relationship with my wife and I prior to the wedding and ensured that their music selection was tailored to our preferences. The time Collision Six spent with us prior to the wedding really made for a seamless performance the night of the wedding! In addition to the music selection, Collison Six spent a lot of time making sure that knew every single detail about the wedding reception and their responsibilities (e.g., names of everyone in the bridal party, timing of specific announcements / reception events, etc.). This took a lot of stress off my wife and I as we never had to worry about announcements or key events being missed!
From start to finish, every single song Collision Six performed was phenomenal – the vocals and instruments were absolutely perfect! Every single person at the wedding commented on how amazing Collision Six was, with wedding attendees remarking that Collision Six was the best wedding band they had ever heard! The range and variety of music Collision Six performed was amazing and they did an incredible job of reacting to the vibe of the dance floor and tailoring their music selection accordingly! The dance floor was packed the entire wedding reception and Collision Six was the main reason for that! There are not enough positive things I can say about Matt and his team at Collision Six. My husband and I wanted to have a wedding reception that was memorable, filled with laughter, dancing, and love. Matt and his team were able to provide all of that and more. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and everyone kept sharing that this was the best band they have ever heard! They even learned new songs as a group for our first dances and for the live music during our ceremony.
Throughout the entire planning process, Matt was incredibly professional. He listened to our vision and requests and delivered on anything we asked. Matt was critical to keeping our reception on time so we could have as much time as possible on the dance floor with our friends and family. We couldn't have envisioned our wedding band performance having gone any better than it did with Collision Six. From the very beginning, working with Matt made the planning of the event smooth: he has great experience, is very thorough in his process, and is especially thoughtful of his clients' desires.

Collision Six played our wedding this past weekend in Cleveland, Ohio. We did a ton of research to find the right band for our event and decided on them after meeting over Google Meet a couple times with the band leader Matt and talking with others who had used them for the wedding.
Collision Six blew our expectations out of the water. They fit the exact vibe that we were hoping for for our wedding and kept the dance floor going the entire night.
Matt was extremely organized and walked us through the entire process from initially booking them to the day of the wedding. He was thorough in understanding what we were looking for and making sure he was giving us the perfect experience.

Matt is very attentive to the point that at the beginning I wondered if we were in some kind of music couples therapy. :) But TRUST ME, there is a method to his madness. He took the time to get to know us, understand our musical tastes, and understand what kind of wedding we wanted and then, most importantly, delivered. He also kept in touch through the entirety of our (long) 18 month engagement, which really helped ease any anxiety.
We had some odd things to coordinate such as a New Orleans style second line to lead people from dinner to the dancing portion of the evening, and they executed on this flawlessly. I highly recommend splurging on the horn section. I had so many people tell me, "I hate wedding bands and this was NOT a wedding band." Truly, they are a wedding band for people who think they hate wedding bands. It was more like a concert with truly talented musicians. Hire them! You will not be sorry!

Collision Six made our wedding what it was! Their energy was at 100% all evening, in fact their final set had everyone on their feet and singing their hearts out even harder than the first! Matt was great to work with from start to finish and made the entire process seamless and easy, and as the bride it was so much appreciated that I did not have to worry about a single thing that day. We also had a jazz trio perform at our cocktail hour which created such a fun ambience for our guests. Matt communicates closely with the wedding planner and other vendors so that everything is completely streamlined and that is a huge weight off the shoulders of the couple. When we first got engaged we went over things that we wanted no matter what, a live band was at the top of that list. Collision Six and Matt checked all of our boxes if not more. We moved out of Michigan soon after we got engaged down to Virginia, so our local wedding now became a destination. Matt was AMAZING to work with! From late night zoom calls to work around our schedules, to learning our first dance song that they had never played before, to Matt's Dad and My Dad becoming friends along the way since we were out of state. It was amazing from start to finish. Matt kept the dance floor full from the first song to the last. My husband and I have been hearing non stop about how amazing the band was and how great the singers were! I would recommend Collision Six to everyone and anyone.

We just had Collision Six perform for our wedding, and the band was spectacular. People kept telling us what an amazing band we had picked the whole night of the wedding and the days following. From the time we originally hired the band (pre-Covid), Matt was very responsive and provided great advice and guidance. Due to Covid, we ended up pushing the wedding a year, and the band was easy to work with in rescheduling.
We had the unfortunate circumstance of having the MC and lead singers test positive for Covid the day before the wedding. They found replacements who had played with the band in the past and who performed phenomenally. Our only complaint was the pushback we received when we asked that the rest of the band get tested for Covid the morning of the wedding, as a precaution to our guests. Ultimately, the rest of the band did get tested and the day went off without a hitch! We would definitely recommend and use Collision Six in the future!

Matt was amazing to work with - he was responsive and thorough, and made me feel that our wedding was as important to him as it was to us.
The band did a PHENOMENAL job on stage, the most talked about thing after the wedding was who was my band and WHERE did I find them… and we had some real music lovers in attendance, who are typically very critical, and even they were impressed with the music.
Matt was also amazing in helping to create a flow of the night, not only in the planning but also in the delivery. During the night, he always came over (discreetly I may add) to make sure we were ready to move onto the next phase.
I was so stressed during wedding planning, and Matt was a soothing and reassuring asset, the wedding would not have been the same without him and his team.

We were married this past Saturday after a COVID-19 re-schedule and we were so happy with our experience with Collision Six. From the beginning we knew that we may have to re-schedule and they were there for us and so accommodating. They offered to assist with our other vendors and worked very closely with our venue, the Gem Theatre, the whole way. Matt was so friendly and patient as we attempted to put together some of our favorite songs. Matt MC'd the night perfectly - when our photographer and videographer were ready to leave and the bouquet toss hadn't happened, Matt was able to adapt in the middle of the set and make sure we were able to get all the photos/videos we wanted. Every single person in attendance asked, where we found the band and raved about their performance! We loved working with them so much and are already talking about looking them up for our 10th anniversary :)

Collision Six was wonderful to work with from the day we met with them to the day of our wedding. They helped us with everything we had to do for the entertainment part of the wedding and we didn't have to worry about one thing. They walked us through the process of figuring everything out for the day of our wedding and triple checked with us on everything to make sure it was perfect. They kept they dance floor busy all night all and no one wanted to leave early.

Without a doubt this is the band everyone MUST have at their wedding. From the pre-planning stages to the week- Matt and his crew are so professional and understanding. They genuinely cared about us and that made me trust him so much when it came to planning out the music for the reception. From start to end the dance floor was full and Collision 6 will have your guests talking for days after!

From the very start (several months prior to our wedding day) Matt was extremely easy to work with. Throughout the entire planning process he was very helpful, straight forward, and efficient.
He and his band were everything we hoped for and more. They played all the songs we discussed. They gave FULL 100% energy the entire night and made the environment everything we wanted. We recommend Collision 6 to any couple looking for a wedding band. They made our night so stress free. They handled everything with class and professionalism.
The next morning our guests would not stop talking about how impressed they were with the band. I had multiple guests during our reception ask for their information in hopes to book Collision 6 in the future.
The only reason we give them 5 stars is because 6 stars wasn't an option!

My husband and I spent months looking for the right band for our wedding, and couldn't have made a better choice by picking Collision Six. Matt and the Collision Six team was amazing to work with from the beginning and went so above and beyond when it came to making the wedding day as easy and stress-free as possible. They even helped by connecting with other vendors to make sure everyone was working together and it helped us enjoy our big day without any worry! The dance floor was busy every time we were there, the band was high-energy the entire night, and they even learned a particular song that we really wanted played at the wedding. Truly an amazing group of people to work with, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a phenomenal wedding band!

We could not have asked for a better band to play at our wedding. From our first meeting, through the planning phase, to our ceremony and reception, Collision Six was extremely professional and thoughtful. Throughout our reception, we received endless compliments about how amazing the band was. Our guests were on the dance floor the entire night.
