To say that the Colonel Williams Inn was a perfect wedding venue is an understatement. The care and work put into making our wedding amazing was seen in every detail. From the mome...
nt we got there, Victoria, Chelsea and Brian took care of us from helping bring things in, to getting us ice water while we were getting ready. While we planned to have the wedding outdoors, the weather did not cooperate but still, the barn was perfect. The transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception was seamless and easy for guests.
Chelsea was there for us at every step. She took control of every situation and didn’t loop us in when we didn’t need to know. She was friendly, and easy to talk to. I had no issue asking her to do something and every single time she did it without question.
Victoria was an amazing chief and did our rehearsal dinner, and breakfast for both days we were there. She did an amazing Texas BBQ for rehearsal dinner and then french toast one day and breakfast tacos the next! All the food she made was amazing! Not only is she a fantastic chief, she also took care of us while we were getting ready and checked on us all day. During the wedding she, Chelsea and Brian made sure everything was going well!
Our wedding was perfect and it was made so by all of our amazing vendors but mostly by the Inn! We were so lucky to have our wedding there and we can’t wait to go up on the wall with all the other brides and grooms.
They think of everything, every little detail at the Colonel Williams Inn. Everything done with a smile and professionalism and deep care to ensure you have the perfect event. They...
have so many in-house options to choose from (china, napkins, table decorations, seating arrangements, beverages, ETC.) to make your life easy. They offer many years of experience and creativity. And the setting is just lovely with their barn being one of if not the very oldest barn in VT.....none of this new-barn-made-to-look quaint. Their barn is the real deal. We are so grateful for everything the staff did for us.
We had our wedding at the Colonel Williams Inn in July 2022 and it was the best wedding I could have imagined! Victoria (the owner) and Natasha (the inn's coordinator) made the bar...
n absolutely beautiful and magical for the reception and they both seamlessly orchestrated a flawless event.
We originally planned this wedding for May of 2020, when covid was new and forced us to postpone. Victoria was so easy and flexible to work with through all of this. She had great recommendations for local vendors. One of our favorite parts was that we got the inn for the entire weekend, we had the rehearsal dinner there, and breakfast was included each day, which made each day really simple and kept us from having to drive anywhere the entire weekend, so we really got to spend quality time with our wedding party and family.
The ceremony was by the pond and guests were in the shade thanks to some large shade trees, which we were grateful for. They have every thing we needed so we didn't need to bring anything. They have chairs, outdoor tables and bars for the cocktail hour, they have a few different arches to choose from, lots of decorations ( lights, candles, vases, etc), signage, etc, etc.
They have really beautiful china place settings.
I have so many more great things to say about having a wedding here - over all it was great to work with the people there, it was incredibly beautiful, I loved supporting a small business, and they made it so simple for us and we got to focus entirely on hanging out with our friends and family instead of the wedding logistics. I would recommend it to anyone! Thank to Victoria, Brian, and Natasha!

The Colonel Williams Inn was the loveliest venue we could have imagined for our wedding, and Victoria and Brian helped it go off without a hitch! They were extremely responsive to ...
our inquiries and flexible about our planning process, and on the day of they worked so hard to make everything go just right! They also brought in a great team to run the show. Celena was a terrific day-of coordinator: herding cats, soothing nerves, and letting us relax and enjoy the big day. Finally, their prices were quite reasonable, and they helped us construct a package that worked well for us and our budget.
The property itself is terrific-- the grounds and the inn are beautiful, with the barn just the perfect mix of rustic and functional. We were lucky enough to have our wedding on a warm day in late September, and the setting, with the arbor on a green lawn sloping down to a pond, with the first hints of color in the forest behind us, was truly magical.
We would recommend the Colonel Williams Inn to anyone looking for some simple Vermont charm, brought to you by two cheerful Texans who make a mean breakfast taco and throw a heck of a party. 10/10, would get married there again!!!
