floor plan. I very much liked that there was no designated "dance area" as all of the flooring is the same--no feeling awkward if you step "out of bounds" while dancing! I've been to several weddings where the ballroom is carpeted and then the dance floor is separate, so it's weird if you're not dancing on flooring. The bar at Colonie is also right in the ballroom which is extremely convenient for guests getting drinks without having to leave the party area. The entire back wall of the ballroom is a window that overlooks the golf course, and we received so many compliments from our guests about the beauty of our venue. Beautiful outdoor space for guests as well, although it was raining too much during our reception for our guests to use. We had a wonderful time!

Rich, the banquet manager, walked us through every detail of the day as we planned the event, and executed everything exactly as we imagined. The affordable package includes things you have to pay for at other venues, like the champagne toast, cake, and floral centerpieces. The food was delicious and we had plenty of it! The views of the golf course provide a beautiful setting and we love all the outdoor photos we were able to take during the cocktail hour. We highly recommend the Colonie Golf & Country Club!

everal occasions with both sets of parents and my groom and went over every detail. We had been quoted $300 for a tent for our outdoor ceremony and were then given a figure of over $600 more. After much negotiation with different rental companies we spent an extra $450. Parking was an issue and was asked about at the rehearsal. When I arrived it was still an issue and when I asked an employee about it she was very rude and made a comment about the golfers paying their dues so they will not tell them where to park. Spelling mistakes on the seating cards, tables being "double booked" (a guest asked a waiter about this and was told to "ask the bride" to have it fixed!), not being allowed to take photos at the fountain when we were told we had clearance to do it the week before. The serving staff was okay, but the management is terrible. In my last meeting with the banquet manager, I was told not to worry about paying on the day of and that he would figure out the bill for us afterwards. While I was saying good bye to guests, I was approached and asked about payment. I commented that I had not received a bill. They produced one and they watched as I wrote out the check. It was quite tense and it felt a little uncalled for. Not a single apology was given for any of their mistakes. They need to reconsider how they treat the people who are using their facilities and putting a very special day in their hands.

the distance the colors and ambiance left us speechless. The banquet manager was the most the nicest patient reliable person we have ever met. There was not a glitch in our ceremony/reception. The total experience more then met our expectations. The manager was on top of everything and had the answers to questions before we asked. He allowed me to show up at my wedding with out a care in the world!!!!
