e Lauren one star if I had the choice. She was okay at first; more reasonably priced, communicated well and so forth. However, as it got closer to my wedding I reached out to her more than once and it took her a very long time to respond. When she finally did we talked about how she was going to need more hands then anticipated because we couldn't get into the venue until later in the day. I thought we had figured it out but as the weeks got closer I contacted her again and she ghosted me. I sent several emails directly through her link with NO response. I finally got her on the phone. We talked briefly and we were supposed to reconnect via email later that day but it was a few days later when I heard back. I tried to confirm our discussion about an extra set of hands but she responded as if we had never talked about it. I reminded her of our previous discussions and I couldn't afford to pay more when we already had a plan. I was thankful she agreed on no additional cost but the communication break down was on her. It was only a few weeks away from my wedding but I had a gut feeling that sent me on a search for a new stylist. Being so late in the game there really wasn't much availability and I didn't have the energy to keep searching. Fast forward to the day of and I was already stressed about the time crunch and the morning didn't go smoothly. This set me back 20 minute which was my bad because I lost the time for my hair and makeup. As I got to the room I was very apologetic for being late and shouted up the stairs "sorry, are you going to kill me?" Trying to make light of it as well as apologizing for my tardiness. The first thing out of her mouth in a very nasty tone was "well I'm going to charge you!!" The way I see it if she was a desent human with good customer service she would have helped to relieve some stress rather than add to it. That didn't happen at all! I was frustrated with her approach and she was upset that I was late to the service I paid for. She told me I disrespected her on my wedding day. Now mind you I did apologize for being late. We continued to have a heated discussion which included her assistant chiming in with an excuse for Lauren's behavior. That's when my family walked into a disaster. My sister and mom asked her numerous times to see if we could please make this work. My mom even offered to skip hers ALL together to get everyone else done and not cause stress for Lauren. My mom's tone was very apologetic although she did nothing wrong. Lauren wouldn't listen. She was caught up on making it about her and how she couldn't work in these conditions. I told her more than once she could leave but everyone pleaded with her to stay. She finally left as the last heated words were exchanged. She really caused a great deal of stress and disappointment. However, all said and done we managed beautifully without her. After my wedding I contacted her to get my money back knowing I lost the deposit. She responded very shortly with talk of a lawyer present. I simply reminded her that she provided NO service and needed to send my payment back but I decided to stop reaching out and contacted my bank to dispute the charge. It is sad to put these words out there but I'd hate to see anyone go through what I did on their special day.

The only thing I would have liked to have done differently is had a bit more time to discuss hair style prior to wedding day - we chatted when we first met but that was months before the actual wedding, and if we had been able to connect a little closer to the date, it might have been easier to really pin down some of the details.

The contract we signed stated that 1. if she is not able to fulfill her duties she would have another person fill in, and 2. she would cover the extra cost of the additional person in that event. (neither of which actually happened) After the initial cancelation call, my bridesmaid and SIL called her to get more info as I was too upset, and they let me know she was very unsympathetic and just claimed everyone was busy. Luckily my coordinator found a replacement - and I found 2 in the area as well, so I question her efforts to find a new person. I even requested recommendations from her and she declined, stating she had already reached out to everyone she knew. It was almost like I was the burden, when I was just looking for assistance from someone that had been booked with me for a year. After the wedding, I requested extra money to cover what I had to pay to the new makeup artist, as stated in the contract, and she declined that as well. She put me in an extremely stressful situation 2 days before my wedding, scrounging to find a replacement during a very busy time, and all I got from her was a "sorry, but no" and a refund for the services she did not perform, which I think is the bare minimum. I hate to leave a bad review, but I feel other brides need to be aware before signing a contract with her, as it's possible that contract will not be fulfilled as stated and you may be left without help during one of the busiest times of your life. I understand times are different now and getting covid is out of someone's control, but she should not list those certain claims in her contract if she does not plan on fulfilling them. Even my coordinator was very shocked and disappointed, stating she'd never seen this behavior from a vendor before. I give her two stars because she did send her hair stylist who did a great job.

warned her. All females in my family are in the beauty industry. My mom has been doing hair for 50+ years and was mortified to get the picture of what my hair looked like. My hair was completed at 10:44am. Please see the first pic as that was a "completed look" The last picture is of me from a previous wedding (sept 2019) where my best friend, an actual professional did the wedding parties hair along with the best makeup artist I know (both out of Chicago). That was the exact look I wanted. As for makeup- I showed the two pictures below (6- 7pics) of the purplish lip and highlighted face and natural eyes. The 3rd pic was what I got. This pic was taken at 11:45am. Please notice my ghostly face, uneven lips, and "hungover 2nd day makeup eyes". I wanted to cry. I had the brides sister pick me up and immediately took baby wipes (that's all I had) to remove the 27 minute look that cost me $110 dollars. How sad to say my wiped off baby wipe face looked better without makeup then it did in the 3rd picture with it "professional done". Notice my Limp curls didn't even last 2hrs of sitting around. I had to redo my hair before the ceremony. By 12:29 I looked more like me. See 5th pic. I USED AND DID MY OWN MAKEUP. I only had minimal products with me because I knew I was getting my makeup "professionally done" (lipstick was added before the ceremony- in the color I wanted). It was no surprise that I was not happy with my hair or makeup. I was still charged for both looks. I paid $220 which included a $30 tip for absolutely nothing! I would not recommend this artist. I was very disappointed. Thank gosh I was the Guinea pig and and after we saw what happened to me the bride had her sister who is an actual make up artist do her make up before this artist got a chance to ruin her face on her wedding day. As for my next out of state wedding... I will Be flying my makeup artist and hair stylist out! 😳 I wish I could post the pictures.

too over the top ( I'm not a huge pile on the makeup fan). I wanted simple, natural, clean, and we got just that! Our make up lasted all day even having to put a mask on in buildings. Hair was perfect through it all! Her personality is warm, inviting and SOOO much fun! I am so happy we found her!

in like 5 minutes. When it comes to the make up I was really nervous it was going to be too much bc I am used to wearing very little make up. Lauren assured me it would be perfect for picture and she was definitely right. I only give three stars because I feel like the eye make up wasn’t well blended or anything I couldn’t do myself and the lashes weren’t for my eye shape. The lashes started to lift in the inner corner and I really only wanted lashes on my outer counter bc it looks best for my eyes.

lso helped set a fun, positive tone that we were able to carry through the night. They never tried up-selling and were able to come to my home for my own convenience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

ke-up (the brides). Lauren Gibbs, the owner, was the stylist to come out to our hotel. She was on time and extremely professional throughout the entire process. Her proposal, contract and payment options were easy to access, sign and post payments. She was able to complete 4 bridesmaids’ hair and 2 flower girls’ hair, and then my hair and make-up in about 4 hours, keeping us on track for time. She was able to provide all the hair styles requested, and was even able to make a 6-year-old stay still long enough for her hair to get done. I chose airbrush make-up for myself, and of all the vendors I looked into, Colorado Bridal Company was the only one to include false eyelashes in their airbrush package. She also brough extra supplies in case someone wanted to add on anything last minute. We all looked absolutely beautiful for the wedding, and the hair styles and make-up held up all night! She even provides a military discount. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the services provided, the pricing was extremely competitive and fair, and I would 100% recommend her, and Colorado Bridal Company, to any future brides!

nd ultimately she cares so much for you and your day - I really got a day of hype person included which just made the day that much more fun! Lauren was professional from start to finish. Our wedding was smack in the middle of a blizzard and she never once said she couldn’t make it or that she would need me to change plans. During a very crazy day her commitment to our wedding made a huge difference! Not only was she able to get 6 ladies done (hair and makeup) in 4 hours, but we all looked flawless. I have never felt so beautiful or loved! Please do yourself a favor and book Lauren for everything - you won’t regret it and you’ll love having her as part of your day!
