My wife and I got married in Ithaca in July 2022, and Coltivare was an amazing place to have our rehearsal dinner and day-after brunch. The food was incredible, and the service eve...
n better. Their events team was incredible thoughtful and responsive, and made both days a wonderful experience for all of our family and friends. They offered to curate a special menu for the dinner, and provided us with the entire wine cellar for the dinner, along with 1/2 of the banquet space for “welcome drinks.” For brunch, we were the only one’s in the building, and felt so cared for. We couldn’t recommend Coltivare enough for special occasions and private events. We look forward to coming back soon!
The team at Coltivare did an amazing job creating a wonderful wedding reception for us. Jason and his team were flexible and so easy to work with, especially with picking up where...
we left off after a postponement, and Chef Blackman created an excellent menu that accommodated all of our food allergies.
Lauren and the whole Coltivare team helped us put on a fantastic rehearsal dinner—zero complaints. Planning was easy—even though it was largely by email and phone, from 3,000 mile...
s away (we live in San Francisco). Lauren graciously handled our various changes to timing, numbers, and dietary restrictions. The food was top-notch, featuring great appetizers and superlative entrees. Our family and friends are foodies and everyone was impressed and satisfied, across the board (not sure how they nailed the timing on 30 beef tenderloins, but it was perfect!). The space was comfortable and convenient, and it was great having a dedicated bar and bartender. Last but not least, the waitstaff was very professional, friendly, and accommodating. We had some last-minute issues with our menus and seating (our fault) and Lauren’s team was right there to help out and our guests never knew a thing! Thank you to Lauren and the entire Coltivare team. We will be back next time we’re in Ithaca!
Our 90 person reception at Coltivare was a huge success - we had a number of guests telling us it was the best reception they'd been to. The food was delicious, the staff was very ...
considerate, and the space is really great for a group of our size.
I would highly recommend doing a restaurant takeover if you're able - having access to a bar area that's spaced away from the dining and dance floor was really nice for us.
Our one caveat is that contacting Coltivare for planning was very difficult, with several periods of silence, sometimes for over a week. Everything came together in the end, but it did require in-person visits.
We had our 160 person wedding reception at Coltivare. I cannot even begin to tell you how perfect it was. Working with Lauren, Chef Elliot and the whole team was absolutely wonderf...
ul. They developed a custom wedding menu based on our family’s cultures and took care with every single detail. The food was absolutely impeccable. From passed appetizers, to perfectly cooked steaks, to the delicious dessert table - our guests are still raving about how beautiful and delicious everything was! The entire waitstaff was so attentive to every guest, monitoring timing of food, poured wine and every detail in between. They worked long hours the day before and morning of, to transform the entire space with all our rented items. The bar provided great quality and tailored the menu to our preferences. The bar managers & bartenders (Paul & Kevin) were so much fun and great at quickly moving and pouring. I don’t think anyone waited for more than a couple minutes for a drink.
Of course the space is beautiful and location exactly what we wanted, but was even beyond what we imagined was the true hospitality from everyone at Coltivare, their attention to detail and everyone’s hard work to make our wedding so wonderful. Thank you everyone for a perfect wedding and Lauren for helping coordinating it all!
We had a brunch at Cultivate the morning after my daughter's wedding. Lauren helped us plan a very special event, tailored to include Latin American foods to represent our new son...
-in-law. It was a pleasure to work with her: she was willing to design a great menu and had delightful ideas to make our brunch memorable. The presentation was spectacular, and the room looked beautiful! Everything went smoothly and easily. Our guests enjoyed themselves and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Lauren and her staff were actively working the event, watching and replenishing everything, seeing to all of our wants and needs.
I highly recommend Coltivare and its staff for an event without hesitation. This was well run, well staffed and the value for the cost was right on point.
We highly recommend Coltivare and Lauren for wedding events! Lauren consistently went above and beyond in exceeding all of our expectations in planning our special event. She met...
with us on multiple occasions, listened carefully, and combined our ideas with her own panache and the result was an amazing evening we will never forget. The venue was stunning and our guests were in awe throughout the evening. The floral arrangements, Lauren’s specialty, were perfect and the ambience was everything we could have hoped for. John was there to cover every contingency and was on the spot to ensure that everything went off without a hitch. The food was amazing, the bartenders were quick and personable, and Lauren was omnipresent. We would not hesitate to recommend Coltivare to our close friends and relatives.
From the planning stages to the actual event, the whole staff at Coltivars was outstanding. The food, the ambience and the service created a wonderful atmosphere for our son's rehe...

I was the mother of the groom charged with finding a brunch place and organizing it . I looked at many places in Ithaca . When I went to Coltivare I was impressed with the beauty a...
nd the cleanliness of the restaurant, The room was spacious with lots of windows and light and the incredible staff were all so very friendly ( with and without the most interesting mustaches) . Also there is free parking on weekends in the large public parking lot adjacent which was a big plus . The day I visited the restaurant months before the event, Sean took me on a tour of the whole place which is also a training site for Tompkins County community college with top notch classrooms and a culinary teaching laboratory in the back . I visited again and the executive chef showed me the site again . Staff are really proud of their workplace.! Lauren the event planner was amazing from the beginning and really helped smoothly and with no stress plan a perfect menu and the price was right ! A week before the brunch I called with final numbers that were nearly double and she calmly handled it . The day of the event I went over 30 minutes early and was delighted to see the room beautifully set up with flowers and linens, and comfortably arranged tables . The buffet was in the middle with access from both sides . The food was delicious and really well prepared and very plentiful . No steam tables were empty for the entire 2 hours . Everyone praised the venue , the food and the service . I am so happy I chose Colitivare for the brunch . Great food great professional service and great value !
We had our rehearsal dinner at Coltivare, and our friends said that it was better than most weddings that they had been to.

hite chair covers for our dining chairs and with the tall ceilings and soft lighting, it really looked gorgeous.
Second--THE FOOD! They worked with us to customize a menu that fit our budget and style. We had a lot of ("Foodie") friends coming from New York City, and they were raving about the food. It made us so happy!
Also, I can't say enough about the level of service we got. The bartenders were charming and professional, and the events managers were there from start to finish. From the sound system to flowers, to dimming the lights, they made sure that everything was perfect.
We really loved every moment of our rehearsal dinner, and Coltivare made it easy for us. I wish we could do it all over again!
