Colton Simmons Photography

cannot recommend Colton enough to be a part of your special day. Colton's professionalism, punctuality, attention to detail have to of course be mentioned, but my favorite part of working with him had to be how comfortable he made everyone feel when taking photos. I will let the photos speak for themselves: THANK YOU COLTON & also he is an amazing and inspiring runner. If you know anything about distance athletes-- they have the grit and determination to go the extra mile (literally).

ton was a joy to work with—fantastic communication, so personable, professional, and incredibly talented. Our family and bridal party kept complimenting how friendly and amazing he was. He remembered everyone's names, which made the experience even more personalized. He made sure to capture everything on our shot list and more. We were amazed at how quickly he delivered our sneak peek photos (literally 1.5 hours after the wedding ended!!), and they are absolutely stunning!! We are so excited to see the full album! Colton truly made all of our photo dreams come true by capturing our day so beautifully. Highly, highly recommend booking Colton!!

r First Look so much fun! He was so efficient and organized, making the entire process so easy. During our wedding day, our wedding party and I arrived to our first look location late due to a miscommunication about transportation (while my husband and Colton were waiting for us there) however Colton did not show any signs of stress and instead acted efficiently to get us back on track. Not only was this impressive, but it was a feat with a group of 30 people. While falling behind on your wedding timeline can be stressful, Colton truly took off any ounce of stress I could've felt. He was cool, calm and collected the entire time, and just a blast to be around. My entire family has not stopped raving about him and I feel so honored to have had him capture our wedding day. The sneak peak photos we've received are absolutely stunning beyond belief. On top of that, I was actually sad when him and his team member Emily were leaving because at that point they felt like friends! 11/10 recommend. If you are considering booking him, 1000% do it. GROOM: As someone who usually feels pretty uncomfortable in front of a camera, I honestly couldn’t believe how fun and natural Colton made the whole process. He brought this calm but upbeat energy that not only put me at ease but somehow managed to wrangle our huge family and 11 groomsmen with total efficiency. Every single shot he delivered looked like it belonged in a magazine — from the big group photos to the small candid moments. From start to finish, Colton was everything you’d want in a wedding photographer and more: professional, creative, efficient, and just a genuinely awesome person to have around on such a big day. He hit every box and then went beyond. I can say without hesitation that I’ll use him again for any future events, and I recommend him to anyone who will listen. Thank you, Colton, for making our day easier, fun, and full of photos we’ll treasure forever.

ul, and full of emotion, but just as importantly, he was a joy to be around and brought such a calm, positive energy to both days. We had Colton photograph not only our wedding day but also our welcome party the night before, and he was incredible across the board. He worked closely with our planner to coordinate logistics and timing, making everything feel seamless and stress-free. He was everywhere without ever feeling intrusive, capturing candid, intimate moments we didn’t even realize were happening. And somehow, he managed to send us a full sneak peek of our wedding photos the night of! I was so blown away, I literally asked him if he ever sleeps. And wow! The photos are absolutely STUNNING. He didn’t just document the day; he told a story through his lens. You can feel the energy, the love, and the joy in every image. One of my favorite shots is of my husband and me walking down the steps at the Castle Hill Inn lighthouse, with the ocean and lighthouse in front of us. It’s the kind of photo you dream of… timeless, romantic, and beautifully composed. Truly a work of art, and just one of so many. As I start to create our wedding photo album, I’m finding we have so many amazing photos to choose from, I don’t know how I’ll narrow it down! Beyond his talent, Colton is just wonderful to be around. He made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera and struck the perfect balance between offering guidance and letting moments unfold naturally. Several of my bridesmaids commented on how great he was to work with. Colton was engaged, kind, and incredibly professional. He genuinely felt like part of the wedding party, cheering us on and capturing every meaningful moment with care. If you're looking for a photographer who will deliver breathtaking photos and be a calming, joyful presence throughout your day, Colton is your guy. We truly can’t recommend him enough. Colton’s a rare find, and we’re beyond grateful we found him.

t he was doing, and was a professional from the beginning. He answered all of our questions and gave us some insight on what to expect of him on our wedding day in terms of preparation, timelines, and photos. We stayed in contact right up until wedding day and he answered any and all questions we had during that time. His response time is also very quick which is important because we never had to wait for answers, and got everything answered quickly & efficiently. He made sure to take all of our suggestions and incorporated them into our photos on our big day. He was very easy to work with and had some great ideas which made our photos perfect. His planning was on point and he made us feel relaxed during the whole process which made everything that much better. Our photos turned out to be perfect and exactly what we wanted and we couldn’t thank him enough. We would choose him 10 out of 10 times to be our photographer again, and are thankful we made the right choice to have him capture our special day. Thanks Colton!

on our side on our wedding day he was sure to make it happen for us. I will never stop recommending him. The amount of photos we received was beyond worth every penny.

our wedding day (a couples worst nightmare) , Colton remained professional and acted quickly. We got beautiful shots in the rain and made the most of it. Colton didn't think twice about getting outside and capturing the moment. Our wedding photos feel like a scene out of a movie.

We really enjoyed our engagement session and loved the photos from it as well. When it came to our wedding day, Colton was fun, extremely efficient and able to catch us back up to schedule seamlessly when we ran into a few unexpected turns! Our families and bridal party loved working with him, too. His work is absolutely stunning. We love our sneak peak photos and cannot wait to see our full gallery. He was an integral part of making our day so great and I would HIGHLY recommend working with him!!

sions you could ever make. Colton is truly one of a kind and such a talented and wonderful person, who takes such pride in his work. The moment we stumbled across his page we knew without a doubt that he was the ONE to capture our special day. We were blown away by the beauty of his work and truly so shocked by his timeless talent. Colton not only is an AMAZING photographer, but an AMAZING individual as well. He has one of the greatest personalities, he’s kind, patient, and will be your HYPE man. Colton’s energy is unmatched and overall there’s such a great vibe to him. Not only can we not stop talking about Colton, but our families have not stopped either. And that just goes to show and proves just how INCREDIBLE he is. We have so much LOVE for him and can’t thank him enough for what he’s done for us. My husband and I have found our FOREVER photographer and we will continue to rant and rave about Colton and how he exceeded our expectations. Do yourself a favor and BOOK COLTON!!! You will NOT regret it! The Piñeiros 🫶🏼 10.18.24

ative eye is unmatched as he was literally climbing rocks to get amazing shots for us. He made the whole process exciting rather than stressful, and it was so easy to fully trust him with capturing it all. He was so on top of the schedule throughout our entire wedding day, and made sure to capitalize on every minute he was with us to make sure we could actually enjoy cocktail hour with our friends and family. He even blew us away with over 100 sneak peek photos when we woke up the morning after the wedding. We feel so lucky to have shared our special day with Colton, and to have a lifetime of being able to relive our favorite day!!

r vision for the wedding day and was always so responsive. Colton helped create a great timeline for the day and made sure all details were included in the planning process. My husband and I are not very comfortable in front of the camera and he made it the most comfortable experience ever. The pictures came out SO perfect and we now have the most amazing memories of our day to have forever. Colton captured the day so beautifully, authentically and thoughtfully. There were also some moments throughout the day where Colton pulled through as much more than a photographer. He kept us on track throughout the day and somehow made sure to get all of the pictures we had envisioned and even forgot about ourselves. We couldn't recommend Colton enough and are forever thankful we got to have him photograph our wedding!!!!

single amazing detail of our day. His visions are crystal clear & when they come to life, it is something out of a magazine. We are so grateful for the rapport he built with us & the role he played in capturing our best day!

ll he laid out a great timeline, and throughout he was super organized, lightning fast responsive, had good takes on other non-photo wedding decisions we asked his opinion on, and is generally a delightful human you want to be around on your wedding day. When we asked to add photography for our post wedding event with two photographers about two months out, he got it done within 24 hours and not only that he ended up personally photographing the second event as well! It is clear Colton loves what he does and has a vision. His energy and enthusiasm for your wedding is infectious, and he always hyped us up. The day of, he put us completely at ease and did a great job of directing two people who are not naturally photogenic. Our wedding party adored him also. The previews came back before we even woke up the day after our wedding, and are absolutely stunning — we cannot get over them! They capture the emotion, vibrancy, and dynamism of the day, and Colton nailed the balance we wanted of setting vs people vs details. Work with Colton! We cannot wait to stay in touch with him and to follow his career!! He’s the best!

d your vision and his attention to detail is unmatched. Colton and his co-shooter, Trent, were an absolute pleasure to work with and both brought such great energy to our wedding/reception. Our gallery is so beautiful and exceeds any/all expectations I had. Colton, we cannot thank you enough for your positive attitude, creative direction, and overall craft— you are an amazing photographer. If you are searching for a wedding photographer, I strongly encourage you to hire Colton to capture your special day. 10/10 highly recommend!

re top notch and so impressive. My husband (woohoo!) and I are so impressed with our sneak peek photos. We received 90 shots in less than 48 hours - with MORE coming! We cannot thank Colton and his team enough. BOOK COLTON! You will not be disappointed. From the bottom of our hearts, we are eternally grateful to you guys for capturing our perfect day. XOXO - Lucie & Mike 08.17.24

onsive and organized. He seamlessly helped schedule our timeline of events for the big day and communicated so well with other vendors and the venue staff. He took the stress out of what can be a very stressful day. Even when there was a chance of rain, he stayed calm, subtly checked the radar and pivoted photo shoots so smoothly. He is the perfect choice for a wedding photographer! So professional, yet so relatable and not to mention how talented he is! We were blown away with our sneak peek photos, which we received the very next morning! He captured our day and our story perfectly. Balancing fun candid shots and more formal portraits. Do not hesitate to book Colton and his team. You will not be disappointed!

ay. Not only did Colton capture all of our special moments- he went above and beyond during the event. One example was when he saved the day by jumping in to help when we couldn’t get my dress to bustle (like a true girl dad!) The morning after our wedding he sent me a preview of some stunning photos as a sneak peak- we couldn’t believe how quickly he had them edited! I could not recommend booking Colton more, he is truly an expert at his craft!

iliar with the venue. Little did we know we would not only be hiring a great photographer, but also a great organizer to keep our day on track, running smoothly and on time. Colton made the planning process simple and did not forget one detail. He even had an emergency kit to save my eyelash when it fell off! Our photos are stunning and Colton and his team were so easy to work with. We knew at the end of the day, what we would have left would be the photographs, and I was happy that we entrusted Colton to capture our memories.

es have always been really important to me, so finding a wedding photographer that we vibed and felt comfortable with was so important to us and we absolutely found that with Colton! Not only is Colton’s beautiful, timeless talent what drew us to choosing him, but how genuinely kind and caring he is! During our first call, Colton was extremely easy to talk to. He not only took the time to hear our story and provide examples of what a day would look like, but he showed true excitement of wanting to be a part of our day and that meant so much! It is very evident he has a true passion for what he does and we feel extremely blessed he was a part of our most special day. During our engagement session, we had the absolute best time- we still talk about it to this day! I was a little nervous prior to the shoot because I was afraid I wasn’t going to know how to pose, but Colton made us feel so comfortable. He guided us through the whole session and made it the best experience! We left feeling like we had known him for so long! Leading up to the wedding, Colton frequently checked in and sent the sweetest texts showing his excitement towards our day. It is truly something that went such a long way! He is also extremely prompt with getting back to you and answering all of your questions/providing the best advice! Fast forward to 4/14/2024, our wedding day! We feel so blessed that Colton was there to capture the best day of our lives. He truly played such a big part in this and we will forever be grateful for him. We knew Colton was the best, but having our friends and family witness this as well was so wonderful. He is so patient and truly cares about you and your guests and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease. He never misses a beat and ensures all your special moments are captured beautifully. He also has the best, most creative and fun ideas for photos! We truly had the time of our lives. Also, I can’t forget to mention that we received 100 photos the morning after our wedding and we couldn’t be more obsessed!!! Colton is truly the MOST amazing photographer and we feel like the luckiest couple to have had him. I promise you, you will feel the same.

us during our initial conversation with him. He listened, and he really got to know us. Our wedding was in Block Island during one of the worst rain/wind storms. This was the week after the ferries couldn't run for multiple days and Colton was stuck on Block Island for a few days because of this, was finally able to make it home mid week, and then came back for our wedding less than two days later. The weather didn't bother us, but it didn't make it easy for the photos, or so we thought. Colton was able to make everything still work out just as we had planned, rain or shine. Colton does all the thinking for you so you don't have to. He works with your vision and uses his own creative skill to bring your visions to life. He not only has the photography skill we were looking for, but he is fun and makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. He is incredibly responsive and takes care of you from the moment you meet/book your first call with him, through months after your wedding. Not only is booking with him seamless, but so are all of his processes. Colton had multiple weddings a week, every week, through the end of the year, so we did not expect to receive our photos back as soon as we did given how busy he was (which is a good thing). He let us know in advance when he would start working on our gallery and delivered when he said he would. We honestly did not expect to receive them back so soon. Colton's passion for photography and his customers is no secret from the moment you meet him. Anyone is lucky to have Colton if they have the chance to book him for their special event.

great and loved up to my wife’s expectation (that is no small task), We couldn't be happier with the results, and we highly recommend Colton to anyone seeking top-notch wedding photography.

r forecast kept looking worse and worse. Colton was flexible on the timeline day-of and we were able to get pictures outside in Sarasota during the one 30 minute break from the storm. Our pictures turned out better than expected. He captured our day beautifully - our excitement and love is evident in all of the photos. We will cherish our wedding photos for the rest of our lives and can’t thank him enough!!

to his light and airy editing style and clear expertise at shooting weddings. From the get-go, working with Colton was a breeze. He's a true professional - organized, communicative, adaptive, and more. You can tell he cares deeply about each couple he works with and strives to give them the best experience and photos possible! When it came to both shoots (engagement & wedding), he made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He listens to feedback and ideas for poses and backdrops, while also being able to see what will be a perfect shot before it's even taken! His calm, cool, and collective nature alongside the ability to command any wedding party only added to the stress-free hours before the wedding. And not the mentioned THE PHOTOS! We were blown away and in tears at our wedding gallery. The amount and quality of photos received was above and beyond our wildest dreams. We also used Colton for his photobooth offering at the reception and it was the perfect addition to the space. His team was fantastic to work with on this piece and it was a huge hit among guests! I don't think there was a time where I looked over and didn't see a waiting line! We love that we received a photo book of everyone's shots to look back and and share laughs over. While Colton's style of shooting & editing is what initially drew us to him, his expertise, professionalism, charisma, and ability to make you feel so comfortable working together is what really sold us. I can't thank Colton and his crew enough for the 10000000/10 photography and photo booth services provided. If you're in the market for a wedding photographer, seriously, look no further. Colton is the best there is.

through options. He was amazing to work with while planning.. quick to answer emails, helped with timeline planning, adjusted easily to changes. He has a great personality & made us (awkward people who hate the camera) feel so comfortable. He is super professional & really really good at his job. He kept us following the timeline, reassured me when it was raining while getting ready & even put my veil in. His second shooter Kayla Paiva was also great! We received over 800 photos about 4 months after our wedding and they came out so amazing!

rying to get all our photos done and keep everyone in line. Colton reassured me that his goal is to take the stress off of his couples on their big day and he 100% delivered! I didn't have to think twice about a timeline or the shots we were getting, Colton handled it all swiftly and with extreme professionalism. He also gracefully navigated some unpredictable weather and made sure that did not effect the pictures (he even sacrificed his phone as a weight to hold my dress down when the wind was blowing - whatever it takes to get the shot)! Colton blended in in the best way possible and let my husband and I go about our day so naturally, but made sure to pull us at the right moments to get the portraits that we now love. The pictures are STUNNING we are so blown away! Colton is a true artist and we can't recommend him enough to trust with your wedding photos!!

ng location or back up plans, he answered thoughtfully and quickly. His timeless, classical style of photography was something we valued and wanted most in our photos. We love our gallery and cannot wait to fill our house with the beautiful memories he provided!

e together. He and his associate Julie made us feel comfortable throughout the day and we love the entire photo gallery. We also booked our wedding Photo Booth through Colton and he delivered the exact look we wanted. It was one of the highlights of the reception and our guests loved having the print outs and digital copy to take home that night. Book Colton, you won’t regret it!

detail and emotion of our wedding day from start to finish. Colton also made us feel so comfortable and we had a blast working with Colton and so appreciate the care and time that went into making our photo gallery so beautiful, it is absolutely a work of art! Thank you!!! 100% recommend!

Not only did he provide absolutely top notch photography, but he also helped us immensely with the wedding planning process. He is so knowledgeable about the wedding industry and always had great guidance to share when my husband and I felt lost or unsure about planning various aspects of the wedding. He is a big part of the reason our wedding came together so perfectly. He was nothing short of amazing to work with him from day one, and our engagement and wedding photography turned out absolutely GORGEOUS. Cannot recommend enough!

stressful. The day of our wedding, working with him was so fun. He was able to capture everything that was important to us and he made it so much fun while doing. He also got us a sneak peak of our photos the very next morning!! I truly cannot say enough good thing about Colton. Our photos came out incredible and capture us as a couple perfectly! Do yourself favor and hire him!!

ent a survey ahead of time asking for our picture requests (which were MANY due to our large family) and he nailed all of them. The prep ahead of time helped the day go more smoothly. Every picture is posed beautifully, and he even was able to capture the little ones smiling - IN UNISON. Colton made the day stress free and helped guide us to what we wanted to do and where we needed to be. We chose to do all pictures prior to the ceremony so we could attend our cocktail hour, which he respected and ran with. I highly recommend Colton to anyone getting married - his delivery of the album is perfectly organized and my family was SO impressed with his quick turnaround on 50+ pictures the day after our wedding. Thank you again, Colton & team!

aware of all of our important moments and preferences. He was so patient and efficient when organizing the multiple locations, directing the wedding party and his second shooter, and was just an absolute pleasure to work with. He sent us sneak peeks the very next morning and we LOVE the results. He had great suggestions for us that made our pre-wedding run smoothly and also listened and highlighted the vision that we wanted executed. He is a hard-working and talented photographer that we recommend without reservation.

ceremony and didn't hesitate to step in and help with the little details. We would not have had our perfect day without Colton's help and calming presence!

ay so perfect. They both were great to work with and have great personalities. Colton did an amazing job editing our photos. It was exactly what we dreamed off. These photos we will have forever and it’s so nice they captured all of our special moments. We are forever grateful! We chose two photographers and it was so worth it. They didn’t miss anything. We got over 600 photos! Would highly recommend!

re he understands your vision and what is important to you. It is evident that he absolutely loves his job and capturing memories for couples that will last a lifetime. On the day of our wedding all of our family members were blown away by how well he managed the process and how professional and talented he was. We flew through family and bridal party photos with ease which was no easy task with how many people/combinations we had. Throughout the night he managed to capture hundreds of stunning photos and you hardly even realized he was there! Only a week after the wedding my beloved grandmother passed away unexpectedly. When Colton learned of this he went out of his way to pull photos of my grandmother from the wedding and we were able to use them for her funeral and memory boards. I cannot put to words how much this meant to me and my family as these photos will always be the last that we have with her, and he captured them so beautifully. He took time out of his busy schedule in peak wedding season to do that for us, and it is a true testament to who he is as a professional. We are so grateful to Colton and so in love with our wedding gallery, we highly recommend him for all of your photography needs!

ion to detail was impeccable. The photos truly tell the story of our special day, and we're grateful for the professionalism and talent displayed. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a top-notch wedding photographer!

ind, patient, and captured the most beautiful photos for us (who don’t love having our pictures taken and can be awkward). He was super flexible with our engagement shoot that I kept changing on him. Then on wedding day, with both of our parties of 10 people and a large family, he was easy going, again so kind and patient and made the day seamless. His photos are natural and never felt like we were forcing anything. Would recommend Colton over and over again!!

professional, friendly, and incredibly talented. Colton has a unique ability to capture the most intimate and beautiful moments. He has an eye for detail and a knack for using natural light to create stunning images. He was also very patient and accommodating, ensuring that we got all the shots we wanted. What we appreciated most about Colton was his calm and reassuring presence. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Colton made the photography aspect a breeze. He was always available to answer our questions and offer advice. On the day of the wedding, Colton was punctual and well-prepared. He worked tirelessly to capture every moment, from the getting ready shots to the reception. He was unobtrusive and blended seamlessly into the background, allowing us to enjoy our day without feeling like we were constantly being photographed. When we received our photos, we were absolutely blown away. They were more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Colton managed to capture the joy, love, and excitement of our day perfectly. We would highly recommend Colton to any couple looking for a wedding photographer. His talent, professionalism, and dedication are truly unparalleled. Thank you, Colton, for giving us memories that we will cherish forever.

worked with me to create the timeline and all of his recommendations for photo locations. Not once throughout the day did I feel rushed and that is all thanks to Colton for being so professional, organized, and prepared. The quality of his work is unmatched. I knew I would love my photos but when he sent me 80+ sneak peek photos the day after my wedding I was instantly brought to tears of joy! He captured our wedding day and love so perfectly. Thank you so much Colton for all of your hard work and talent, it is truly appreciated!!! -Nicole & Ryan Williams

He was very flexible with us as we had a destination wedding, he was very prepared and found great photoshoot spots ahead of time around the downtown area and even checked out the venue too. He worked seamlessly with our videographers as well and was super helpful to us first time wedding planners with loads of questions. Absolutely amazing to work with and takes amazing, magical photos, choose him! If you're traveling for your wedding/destination wedding I couldn't recommend him more!

onsive and helped us make our vision come true. He captured every single moment that I could have ever wished for. The quality of each picture is unmatched. It felt like we had known him for years, not just the one day. We received hundreds of pictures, which were already organized and easy to download/share. Every single picture he took is so beautiful, that I am obsessed with each picture. I can't stop looking at them! I would hire Colton for every single life event if I could!

g photographer, but he FAR exceeded all of our expectations. From the very beginning, Colton was thorough, organized, and responsive, and we developed complete trust in him throughout the process. On the day of our Block Island wedding, a tropical storm threatened to sabotage our day, but Colton arrived and got right to work helping to ensure we had the most memorable and special day of our lives! He brought such great energy and professionalism to the day and was truly instrumental in making everything run smoothly despite the weather adding some extra challenges. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, as though it was just one of our friends taking pictures of us. He even sent us a bunch of sneak peeks a couple days after the wedding, when we were all trapped on the island due to suspended ferry service. The photos were AMAZING, and put a huge smile on our faces as were dealing with a lot of logistics for a surprise extended stay for us, our guests, and our vendors! We truly can't say enough good things about Colton or thank him enough for all he did for us. I would recommended him to any of my friends or family members for any photography needs!!
