We booked our block here about a year in advance. It was the only hotel really in the area at th...
e time. We had our reservations about the place, but felt like there wasn't much of a choice.
There was no online system at the time. Our guests had to call in to book, which sounded okay. Except that they completely mixed up people's reservations, lost reservations, and messed up our block.
We didn't know that they would be booking other wedding blocks along with ours. I guess we could've asked, but it was a small hotel and I guess I thought that if we booked it early enough it would just be for our wedding. WRONG! They booked another wedding, they didn't tell us when our block was full, and we never got more than 10 rooms ( we were initially told we'd get 15). Come to find out they included us in the book (they're not supposed to) and they booked the other wedding's guests in our block, so we never even got our full amount!! Two months before the wedding, I had to book another block elsewhere. The worst part of it all was that the manager (or whatever her role is), Grace, was so awful to work with. I hate to say that, but it made the hotel experience just awful. Another worker promised us that we would get our stay for free because of this experience, but when we arrived to the hotel the eve of our wedding, we were told that was not the case and that we had to pay. We put up a bit of our fight, but it was our wedding! We were not in the mood to argue and wanted to, HELLO!, enjoy our wedding weekend. I guess they realized they made some errors because they gave us a gift in an envelope. I really would've just preferred one night reimbursed as we had talked about.
This place is shady, deceitful, and lies. There is also now another hotel in the area, where we booked our second block, and was astonishingly easier to work with. Brides/grooms, you do not need this kind of stress when it comes to your weddings. Put your guests in nicer rooms than this place provides. Seriously, the water stinks. And, if we're being honest, this place is definitely haunted.
Best of luck to this place. I hope you take the feedback you get and make changes. Otherwise, wedding couples, don't waste your time.

ocal hotels. But even with the cheaper rates, nothing else is sacrificed. It is such a cute, cozy hotel with incredibly friendly staff. The rooms were clean with working ac in the summer. Continental breakfast in the morning. Restaurants within walking distance for the guests spending more than one night. Our wedding venue was 20 minutes away, so we had to hire a shuttle for our guests. But these rates for these rooms were literally 1/3 of the price compared to the closer hotels. It was a no brainer to stay at this inn. We would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.
