Columbine Entertainment played for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were extremely professional and listened to all of our requests. Our guests really complemented them for playing a variety of music beautifully. Would highly recommend them!
Georgina and her team of talented musicians are amazing! We had a couple out of normal requests including having her re-write one of our favorite songs so the string musicians could play it at the end of our ceremony. Everything sounded beautiful and the guests loved it!
We hired a solo cellist to play at our wedding. Georgina, the owner, was friendly and accommodating. She was often busy when I called and the phone would go to voicemail, but she always responded to messages the same day. The website has a guide that helps you plan the music for your procession and ceremony. The website even has little music clips so you can listen to the musical options.
The cellist that played at our wedding was great. We had an outdoor wedding. For outdoor events they do require a shaded spot for the musicians to play. We didn't have a shaded spot, so he played inside during the prelude. However, it was a cloudy day, and the cellist did play outside during the ceremony, which was wonderful. I highly recommend them, especially if you are planning your wedding without a wedding planner.
Columbine entertainment provided beautiful music during our wedding ceremony and throughout dinner. After entering into a contract with Columbine they will outline deadlines for music selection and payments. It is your responsibility to meet these deadlines (without reminders) or there will be extra fees. I found the music selection process to be difficult because they do not have all music listed in one spot (you have to jump around the website to find the full selection) and there are not links to hear clips of each song so I ended up using Google to find many of the songs to see if I liked them. The music during the wedding was beautiful and their transitions during the ceremony were great. The group was professional, arrived on time, and left at our scheduled time. After the selection process everything went well but that was not the easiest way to do it and made the experience feel less personalized.
My husband and I can't say enough good things about our experience with Columbine. We had a string quartet for our ceremony and a jazz group for our reception. We had so many compliments on the jazz group that some friends of my husband , who are musicians, got their business card at the reception! Georgina (the coordinator) was very helpful and was able to make several accommodations for us with song choices and orchestration choices. Their price is affordable, as well. !!! We will definitely use them if we ever have a need to hire a jazz group again.
For an average cost, I had a string quartet that played perfectly and was willing to play some songs that were off the beaten path--we had string versions of Beatles songs for all our ceremony music. The manager was kind and helpful, even though we booked them last-minute.
