DO NOT DO IT.
Don’t waste your money!
Don’t compromise your event.
I was the matron of honor for my cousin where Kathy was hired to perform wedding coordination for. Unfortunately, during the reception, I ended up doing her job and was not able to enjoy the reception and am not in any of the photos, professional or personal. I missed key moments because of her gross incompetence. I will never get those memories or experiences back.
Synopsis:
Kathy is the rudest, laziest, most unprofessional person I have ever worked with. As someone who has attended and worked weddings, I have never encountered someone so toxic. If I had to describe her in one word it would be bully. I could literally wax poetic for days about Kathy’s negatives.
Highlights:
COMPLAINED PROFUSELY TO THE BRIDE DURING THE RECEPTION THAT OUR FAMILY WAS RUDE TO HER.
Clapped at us and told us to pay attention during the rehearsal like we were kindergarteners, which she was unprepared for. Refused to learn our names. Complained about the most absurd things. Tried not to follow specific and detailed instructions from the bride regarding table decorations. Was rude to her assistant, who did the majority of the work. Tried to have family members do the work she was hired to do. Said “I don’t know how the bride thinks I have time for that”.
Was dressed like she was going to yard sales when she arrived the morning of the wedding, and then changed into a light blue with white print dress and flip flops. Was sitting spread eagle in the dress when guests were arriving. Told my husband to back up, turn around and walk away when he said the DJ was going to relocate beside the dance floor. The venue was my husband’s parents' property. Kathy originally told me the DJ couldn’t be beside the dance floor because she wouldn’t be under the tent and the “electrical components would melt”. We live in Florida.
Got behind the bar to “help” despite the bartenders telling her she couldn’t be back there as it was a liability. Was rude to every vendor. Kathy asked my mother-in-law for snacks while us girls were getting ready. She walked around with food from the cocktail hour, got a plate of food before the last table was served, shooed a young girl away from the dessert table and then proceeded to eat a piece of cake in front of her. Complained excessively about the cake because the top layer was leaning despite me telling her that the cake was crafted by myself with love and prayers to hold on and wasn’t going to fall over. Refused to move away from the bride and groom while they were cutting the cake, telling the groom how to put his hand on the bride’s and telling them to cut a bigger piece, despite me being right next to her telling her to move out of the way.
Was sitting in the adjacent barn majority of the reception and myself and the bride’s stepmother had to go find her multiple times. When I asked her to move some tables out from under the tent that had been there because of rain earlier in the day, into the area where people were mingling she said “it’s just been really frustrating moving these tables, I mean are you going to help?”. One of those tables was a memory table that had a picture of my son on it, and at that point, I didn’t trust Kathy and stopped asking her about anything, or to do anything.
The only thing good from this brand was DJ Glam and the open-air Photobooth vendors, and Kathy was rude to them as well.
Scott and his team did our wedding photos and video for our micro wedding for New Years Eve 2024! They were the only photographer and videographer who were willing to stay up will Midnight to do the wedding ceremony and ball drop with us! They were very professional and guided on on the best poses to do and I will always highly recommend them! We were their last wedding of 2023 and their first wedding of 2024!
