Composure Events

s extremely organized, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We are so grateful for Claire and Composure- our day was perfect!

day and Genevieve helped keep us on track for final planning and make sure the day was executed correctly. She was detailed, organized, and knew our hired vendors well so it was easy coordinate everything. A big bonus from working with Composure was getting their preferred vendor list from the very start which made our planning process so much easier! We were very happy with all the vendors we worked with off of their list. We would highly recommend Composure for your wedding, they provided good service for a reasonable price.

ve full-service planning from start to finish, and we have zero regrets. Cori and her team are professional, organized, enthusiastic, and creative. I felt at ease and stress-free throughout the entire planning process. I never had questions about what we needed to do next or what vendors we should book for the best experience, because Cori always had it handled with the best ideas, and organized timeline, and trusted vendor recommendations. Every vendor she recommended delivered exactly how she said they would. We were so pleased!! Not only did Cori help our special day come together so seamlessly, she doubled as our moral support, friend, and sounding board. Especially the day of the wedding, she was always there with a shout wipe, lip gloss, Advil, a hug, or a drink of course :) An honorable mention was the night of our rehearsal dinner, it rained and we were having an outdoor garden party. Rain was not in the forecast, so we did not have a tent. Cori ran to the Dollar Tree and rushed back with as many umbrellas as she could find. She was always there to save the day! Our design came together so beautifully. Cori and her team brought our Pinterest board to life, and even better than we could have imagined. Composure Events has an eye for high quality material and cares about every detail. Overall, we could not have chosen a better team for our wedding planning process and we would recommend Composure Events to anyone and everyone.

I were so impressed with composure from the start and knew the wedding day would be in great hands with them on board. We really benefited from their preferred vendors list and had excellent professionals help take care of us. Genevieve in particular is so organized and sweet. She really stepped in whenever she could to get things done. A funny example of this was while my bridesmaids and I were taking PJs photos on the bed, one of my bridesmaids frantically noticed the soles of her feet were dirty. In 5 seconds Genevieve sprang into action and literally wiped her feet with a wet towel. Hilarious and helpful! The day of the wedding was so fun and relaxed with Composure taking care of everything else. Genevieve even captured a few BTS videos so we could see them ASAP before our formal images were processed. It was seriously such an awesome experience. Would highly recommend!!

mportant for a bride. They are well known in KC and have a good reputation with other wedding vendors. I had complete trust in them and I know my day wouldn’t have gone the way it did without Genevieve.

discussions and decisions in our hands (which I liked). They also had great options for folks who just wanted a coordinator closer to the day of, OR on the other end of the spectrum having more full “white-glove” planning services, but this middle package was exactly right for us and something we didn’t really see at the other planners we looked into. From our first conversation, my husband and I were amazed by how easy it was to talk to Sarah, how many tools Composure had at the ready to guide us through the process, month-by-month, from start to finish, and how thorough and candid she and Cori were in responding to all of our initial questions. That made it an easy choice from the start, and every meeting, e-mail, and sidebar text I had with Sarah from that point on reinforced our choice. (Not to mention the automated “helpful tip” e-mails that would come to us from Composure every so often, timed based on our date – such a nice touch!) It was evident every time we met that Sarah had so much knowledge not just about the industry in general but about the vendors in the KC area specifically – it felt like the suggestions she made for our vendors were really tailored not only to our preferences and price ranges, but also to our personalities, which was so massive for this very awkward and unprepared bride. Not only that, but she also had great advice and tons of past experiences to draw on when we had questions about etiquette or how to handle certain situations – and we had plenty of those! Her eye for design when pulling together our rentals and other little details was also immaculate… I am hopeless when it comes to décor/design so I needed all the help I could get, and she was so patient with me every time I sat and stared for a while – “buffered”, if you will – at a small design element she was showing me. When everything came together on the day of… wow. I literally can’t even stand how perfect it was. It was the most seamless day from start to finish. I remember feeling the night before like I knew every individual piece would be great on its own, but was uneasy about how it would look when it was all put together… and as soon as I saw it all I couldn’t imagine why I had ever felt like that. It was like, where any “vision” I had of my day was blurry beforehand, or fragmented or altogether not there, suddenly there it was. It was cozy, and dreamy, and moody, and somehow felt intimate without being at all stuffy or crowded. And I would have never thought to pull all of those things together the way we did – not without Sarah’s patience, advice, gentle reminders, and support along the way. It was a long year planning for us, not without stress, but I know 100% that I would have had an absolute mental breakdown if we didn’t have her by our side. I’ll wrap this review up by just saying, brides and grooms – if you’re looking for someone who will guide you through the wedding planning process leading up to your big day (occasionally over a flight of beer), and who will work to swiftly remove any potential stressors ON your big day (occasionally by appearing out of nowhere with a glass of prosecco), AND who is just a joy to be around – Sarah is your gal, Composure is your team. We (and our families) can’t say enough how wonderful it was to work with them.

cess. She made the whole engagement much more simple and relaxed pace at meetings really breaking down tasks so it never felt like too much at once. We got to enjoy our entire wedding day and soak in all the magic they created for us. All issues day of we’re handled perfectly (including a transport issue that they resolved so beautifully we didn’t even know there was one until we debriefed the whole day later!). The relationships they have built in the industry clearly payed off. Thank you Cori and Composure!

, a wonderful team to work with. We just love Cori, Rebecca and Sarah!!

our wedding and they fit that role perfectly. Despite them only being a Day of Coordinator, they were extremely hands on throughout our engagement and wedding planning process. Any questions we had while planning they didn’t hesitate to help out. They have multiple connections to other vendors as well. Not only did they help us find a few other vendors, but everyone spoke extremely highly of Cori and her team AND we were able to get discounts on other vendors because of them. The day of our wedding had quite a few bumps that were out of anyone’s control and our DOC, Sarah, handled every issue with such grace and ease. She took care of everything the day of the wedding: working with other vendors to set up and tear down our venue, ensuring we stayed on time, answering questions for friends and family so I did’t have to - you name it and she was there. I cannot describe how much stress she relieved for the day of our wedding and how perfect our day was because of Sarah. If you are considering a DOC - do it and do it with Composure. You won’t regret it!

suited our needs for an intimate modern wedding in KC. She was so helpful and knowledgeable as she assisted us with booking vendors, kept us on track with action items each month and answered all of our questions along the way. Two months out from the wedding, we transitioned to Sarah as our coordinator, and she was phenomenal in executing a flawless wedding day for us. She and her team took care of everything from setup to takedown and everything in between, allowing us to enjoy the day stress-free! Throughout our almost two-year engagement, we felt we were in great hands the entire time. We truly don’t know what we would have done without Composure, and we can’t recommend them enough! Thank you, Cori & Sarah, for everything!

nal, pays attention to detail, and has an eye and vision for beauty. And let me tell you, my first impressions of her were entirely correct but also barely scratched the surface. Over our 18 month engagement, meeting with Cori every month was easily a highlight moment for us. She made even the most minute decisions feel incredibly special and thoughtful--which made making them incredibly fun. Having her as our planner gave my husband and I the space to focus on our marriage, dream about our wedding day details, and ultimately fall even more in love--knowing that Cori was always behind the scenes taking care of us and the logistics in any way she could. I do not say this lightly (as a person who is often very anxious), but I was 100% stress-free on our wedding day because I knew Cori had it covered. Every couple deserves that peace and joy on their big day and Cori knows how to make it happen! If you are looking for a planner in any capacity, Composure Events is your team!

ncredibly confident in our decision to choose her as our wedding planner. When you select Cori and her team you are not just gaining a wedding planner. You are gaining an absolute force behind your wedding day. My husband and I feel so grateful that Cori was there to walk us through the entire process of planning our day from start to finish. All we did was give her our vision and she executed. She has incredible connections in the wedding business and was able to help us hand select vendors that were able to execute our wedding beyond our wildest imagination. She also was able to do this while we were living thousands of miles away in California. We met regularly throughout the process to make sure everything was going according to plan but otherwise, we truly didn’t need to lift a finger throughout and were able to show up and go through our wedding day with such ease because Cori and her team helped take care of it all. Our family and friends that attended our wedding have continued to talk about the professionalism and warmth that Cori and her team brought to our wedding day. She is incredibly skilled in her craft. We consider her our wedding fairy godmother and a part of our KC family now. Do not hesitate to book her for your event or wedding day. You will be in for an incredible treat!

r. Cori helped us with vendor recommendations, all of my random questions and helped me focus my ideas for the design. Also, anytime we mentioned we were working with Composure in meetings with potential vendors, they were immediately more excited to work with us. Sarah started with the actual day of planning 2 months before our event and was a completely lifesaver. Everything gets so much crazier at that point and having someone so on top of our vendors and our detailed to-do list AND on top of making sure I took time to relax... amazing. I don't know what I would have done without Sarah in the weeks leading up to and especially day of. I'm sure she saved the day more times than I'm even aware of.

ding day special. Not only did they go above and beyond what was expected of the contract we agreed upon, but it also felt like they were truly invested in making sure we had an unforgettable day. And we did. Sarah was our coordinator and she was there with us every step of the way - from vendor outreach, to the event space decor, to grabbing drinks, to helping bustle the dress. She👏did 👏it👏all. Would absolutely recommend for any couple to-be! - Joe & Les

!!

ot have been done without her. I booked Composure Events a little over a year out from our wedding after realizing I was totally in over my head planning such an important event out of state. After researching multiple planners, Cori and the Composure team easily stood out among the rest. We booked the Modern package and Cori immediately began meeting with me monthly, all the way up to our wedding. Most partial planning only jumps in to help 6 months out or less, so having meetings with Cori for 14 months was above and beyond and truly reflects how Composure does things. Cori and her team handled every. single. detail. for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day, enabling my husband and I, our families, the bridal party, and every guest to simply show up and have fun. I wasn't stressed one bit leading up to our wedding day, simply because I knew Cori had it handled. From putting our bags in our suite to grabbing a family heirloom I forgot, Composure had it covered. I can't express how thankful I am for that, as it truly allowed us to enjoy such an important day and not worry about small details. At the end of it all, not one thing went wrong and the night was perfect - a true testament to Cori and Composure. Finally, I have to mention how much fun I had working with Cori. She is kind and thoughtful while also completely organized and ready to tackle any hurdle wedding planning can throw. Her suggestions were always tasteful and on point for our wedding vibe and I truly felt she was a perfect match for our vision. Composure is simply the best and I would tell every KC bride to book with Cori and her team over and over again!

ade throughout the wedding planning process. She was very knowledgeable, responsive to my millions of questions, kept me and our vendors on track, and helped keep my stress levels low throughout the process and the day of the wedding. I’m honestly sad that our wedding is over because we won’t get to talk to her as much anymore 😂. Cori and her team are amazing! You will not regret hiring Composure!

cca as our day of coordinator, and we were thrilled with all the hard work, attention to detail, and how calm and composed she was throughout the experience. Everything went perfect on our Wedding day and was exactly as we envisioned it. (If anything went wrong, we had no clue!) We owe it to Rebecca and Composure for making our vision a reality. Although our wedding day was everything we wanted, it was quite bittersweet that it was the end of working with Composure. Would 100% recommend any day. They are THE BEST!

ay of the wedding. She helped me feel relaxed and I had no stress the day of because I knew I had the support of cori and her team. They are wonderful to work with . Everybody needs someone like Composure events to help with their wedding.

re never stressed about the wedding because we had full trust that Cori had us on the right path and would always be there to help if we needed it. She is so loyal to us as a couple and did a great job of standing up for us and what we wanted our day to look like. In our eyes, the day was perfect and we know Cori had everything to do with that! I would highly recommend hiring her as your wedding planner. Even my parents (who were weary about hiring someone to help plan) have had nothing but great things to say and have expressed multiple times that they are so glad we had her on our team.

. She was there every step of the way whether it was a quick check-in weekly email, to making sure everything was perfect and squared away on the actual wedding day. You won't regret hiring her!

personable she is. Every aspect of our wedding was planned perfectly. I’m a super organized person and was so impressed at how on top of it she was, it gave me priceless peace of mind on the day of knowing she was taking care of everything behind the scenes. We had multiple wardrobe malfunctions and some surprise guests and her team was ON TOP OF IT. By the time I even found out about some of these day of surprises, they had already taken care of it. I mostly worked with Cori on the planning process but her whole team of amazing women were there day of and every single one of them was professional and busting to make my dreams come true. When you plan with them, someone is always available via email, text, or call to talk thru things or adjust plans as needed whenever you randomly think of them. I have been in or to quite a few weddings this past year (many of which were in KC area) and I can unbiasedly say that this team is the best I’ve seen. My MOH agreed too and she has a different planner for her upcoming wedding ;)

and filled in design gaps, and kept us on track with making major decisions. She and her team were professional, kind, and thoughtful. On our wedding day, they took care of so many details, from flawlessly coordinating with all the vendors to making sure my husband and I had drinks and food. Cori and her team and ensured our wedding day ran smoothly and we are so grateful they helped us have a wonderful day!

becca is AMAZING!! Our wedding would not have gone as smoothly as it did without her. Rebecca is incredibly organized, on top of things, responsive, detail oriented, kind, empathetic, the list could go on and on. We are SO grateful for her. She made our wedding day her biggest priority and went above and beyond what was expected from her. Thank you Rebecca!!!!!

ed, friendly, and professional every step of the way. Her modern elegant style was so helpful as we planned our downtown KC wedding. She not only helped to keep us on schedule throughout the 12+ months of planning, but her vendor recommendations and ideas on how to make the day our own really went above and beyond. During our wedding day I had no concerns about the logistics of the day because Cori was always one step ahead of things. I recommend hiring a full service planner to anyone who is planning a wedding and Cori is the best of the best.

as almost completely stress-free by her attention to detail, her organization and her professionalism. She was easy to work with and her knowledge of Kansas City helped this out of town momma navigate finding the perfect vendors. One hundred percent the best decision I made was to hire Composure Events for my daughter's wedding!

rs' weddings, and I was so impressed with how stress-free she made their days. After seeing first-hand how Cori prioritized their happiness (and sanity!) on the big day, my husband and I knew that when we got engaged making sure we had Cori and her team working with us was one of our first priorities. Lost florist? Unexpected rainstorm? Best man rips his dress-shirt minutes before the ceremony? When the inevitable "hiccups" in the day happened, Cori and her team skillfully and smoothly handled it, without any additional stress or fuss. She also thought of thoughtful little details, like tucking away some extra cake in the getaway car, for us to enjoy at the hotel after our reception! From the moment we first met with Cori to the end of our reception, she immediately put us at ease. She was highly organized on the front end to ensure that when it came time for our wedding we had nothing to worry about and could enjoy the day. Our wedding itself was a dream, and Cori was a huge part of that. Cori and her team are incredibly organized and professional, but they're also so warm and FUN to be around. I cannot recommend Cori and Composure Events enough!

le detail was accounted for. She made our wedding day absolutely stress free, smooth, and perfect!! We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding coordinator!!

ere personal, compassionate, kind and were present to do everything possible to make our wedding memorable. They are the REAL DEAL.

Not a single thing went unplanned. Our wedding went smoothly with zero stressful situations. We were able to sit back, relax, and trust that our planning team had everything under control. Not only did we get to have the wedding of our dreams we were able to build a friendship with our planner that we cherish. Composure events has numerous vendors that they work closely with so that your day can be built to customize your desires and dreams. I cannot recommend Composure enough. We loved the entire experience working with them!

id he didn’t think we would have been able to pull the wedding off without her. We met monthly, but she was available via email and text the rest of the month and typically responded within 24 hours or less. She provided different vendor recommendations and helped us book the perfect vendors time and time again. Her professionalism was always off the charts and she made my smaller wedding of about 100 people feel as important as a huge 500 person wedding. She helped make sure I didn’t get over the top and become gaudy and made excellent recommendations to fill in empty spaces when I had no vision. Cori was extremely on top if things the day of the wedding, she was on time and made sure I was eating even though I wasn’t hungry. She was juggling so many things at once, but always had the time to make sure all my questions were answered and that my husband and I were taken care of. She brought us food and made sure we were never without drinks. Her staff was always there to answer questions and make sure that things were safely and securely packed in my parents’ car at the end of the day. We had multiple family members and guests comment on how professional and competent Cori and her staff were over the course of the day. Our wedding probably would have happened, but I guarantee it would not have been as beautiful or as smooth as it was without Cori. She was worth every penny and more that we paid.

inevitable bumps in the road as the day gets closer, Cori was there to bring me peace of mind and help resolve the issue. She was always so I top of things. And when we weren’t face to face, I knew she was always only a text, email, or call away. I honestly felt like Cori was my saving grace from the moment we started working together, through our send off at the end of the wedding! I have already recommended Composure Events to other brides and will continue to do so.

azing job with both the small details and the large items like centerpieces and set up. Even going above and beyond and helping with my bustle among many other things. We got so many compliments on how smoothly everything ran and that is 100% thanks to them, everything was so seamless and stress free. They were always so positive and helpful throughout the postponing process due to covid and truly made our day perfect and worth the wait! Most importantly, our families were able to relax and enjoy themselves because the Composure team took care of all communication and coordination with the other vendors and were always one step ahead. It was so special to see our parents having fun and dancing all night, these are memories we will cherish forever and are so appreciative to have the best wedding experience to reminisce on because of the Composure team’s expertise and hard work. Cori and Rebecca were such a pleasure to work with, we are so grateful for the time they spent getting to know us to make our reception unique and represent us as a couple rather than just checking the boxes and doing what is standard. They helped us find our own style and vision and flawlessly turned it into reality!

s able to enjoy my day and take in every detail without worry. I would absolutely recommend them for your planning needs. I don't know how I could have managed without them.

amilies were able to just enjoy themselves as everything was coordinated to perfection. A big thank you from us to this planning team!

m as possible. She was very, very on top of it and we felt like we were in great hands with all of the last minute details and to-do's. We would recommend working with Cori and Composure Events to any couples going through the wedding planning process!

something we didn’t know we needed, until we did. The whole team was amazing and we are a so grateful!

lanner for our wedding on 10/10/20, but her amazing advice, help, and support started way before our big day. From the moment we connected with her, she was ready to be there for us and give us the day of our dreams. Throughout the entire planning process (with several change-of-plans due to COVID) and day-of coordination, she was calm but assertive when needed, helpful but never pushy with suggestions, and on top of her communication with us and our other vendors. On our wedding day, I truly did nothing - which was SO great. She went above and beyond, down to taping my shoes that were falling off my feet right before I walked down the isle!!! We were able to totally enjoy our day. With all our last-minute changes, I really didn't know if it would all come together... but walking into our reception, I was blown away! She had executed our vision for our big day flawlessly. If there were any hiccups, I sure didn't know about them (still don't?!). When our reception was over and we were gathering our things, we even tried to offer help and she simply said "everything is taken care of" with a gorgeous smile! I loved that, and everything WAS taken care of - down to the cake, gifts, decor, tips, etc all handled. My family said they loved that we were totally in the moment the whole day, and that would absolutely not have been possible without Cori! Looking back at the other coordinators we were also considering, I would pick Cori 100 times over. She was a perfect fit for us and I honestly would have paid MORE for her. On a personal note, she is friendly, supportive, hilarious, and just a joy to be around! Thank you Cori for everything!

at the right time and that expectations were met. She had all the essentials in her emergency kit that we could possibly need. She had our reception all set up when we arrived and helped our timeline go very smoothly - making sure dances, speeches, dinner and everything was right on time. Thank you Cori for all your hard work!

was so sweet and very familiar with the Indian wedding process. Cory helped us to organize and plan everything around our vendors and guests regarding making sure everyone was following social distancing and safety guidelines. She also was so wonderful at keeping everything organized and making sure that all details were completely done before the wedding. We found super helpful her weekly task updates that let us know what she was working on/what we need to be working on. On the day of our wedding, there was so little stress because Cory had everything handled before and on the day of the wedding. All in all, we truly loved her and would recommend her and Composure Events to everyone!

it all on my own - big mistake! She jumped right in and handled absolutely everything in such a timely and calm manner. Wedding day was upon us and she made sure everything was done, we had time to chill/rest/relax knowing that she would handle all the details. I hope if you are reading this and looking for a wedding planner you book with Cori. It was the best money I ever spent on my wedding. Love Cori and her team!

pandemic and all my breakdowns. She was nothing but sweet and handled every single detail for me. I would of never even of had my wedding if it wasn’t for Cori and her team. I’m beyond thankful. I met other wedding coordinators at other weddings and I was never impressed. When it came to my wedding day she DELIVERED And overachieved. HIRE COMPOSURE EVENTS.

rior to and on the wedding day. She jumped in to handle questions, any issues and to help out wherever needed. Cori got along great with the bride and groom, wedding party, family and guests. Her team stayed for the send-off, to pack up and until the last guests were gone. We definitely recommend Cori and her team at Composure Events!
