We would recommend this as both a fun way to surprise your guests but also as a fun thing to do together leading up to the wedding, we made date night out of dance lessons and it was a great way for us to step away from everything else and reconnect together. We were nervous to take lessons but in less than 8 weeks Colleen taught us how to swing and rumba and helped us put together an awesome first dance. She was incredibly patient, flexible and easy to work with. We had so much fun learning, practicing and performing our first dance, and as an added bonus we even got to break out our moves again after the wedding on our honeymoon. Thank you Colleen!

Colleen designed a dance for us based on the wedding songs we chose, and adjusted the routine to our skill level. The dance turned out absolutely perfect! rtant decisions was to decide what kind of First Dance we wanted to do, and who was going to teach us! We are both very athletic, recently graduated Division 1 athletes who have played professionally for our respective sports... but we knew very little about dancing, and nothing about how to dance together. We decided to try the Concierge Ballroom, as they offered a free 30-minute session. This provided the perfect risk-free opportunity for us to get to know the instructor and talk about our goals. 30-minutes later, we were so happy to commit to working with Colleen for our dance lessons. She is an amazing teacher, and truly helped us learn so much in a short period of time – ten 60-min lessons. Colleen was able to walk us through many different dance moves and combinations step-by-step, demonstrating both the lead and following roles. This was very important, as we wanted to learn to dance, not just follow a routine. Another wonderful thing about the Concierge Ballroom is Colleen's long-time dance partner, and co-instructor Tomas. Even though we only purchased lessons with Colleen, Tomas would often be in the studio at the same time, waiting for his next client to arrive. Together, he and Colleen would sometimes demonstrate the more advanced moves that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to learn. Colleen and Tomas are two of the most friendly, encouraging people we've had the pleasure of knowing! Our First Dance turned out amazing – it was fluid and simple, and so much fun because we were relaxed and confident in our newly acquired skills – and judging by the reactions of our guests, it looked as good as it felt! We have enjoyed dancing with Colleen so much that we are continuing our dance lessons post-wedding! Thank you, Concierge Ballroom, for welcoming us into your family! sh. My fiancé (now husband) was the most uptight dancer and he transformed him in just 10 sessions to someone who, with structure provided by Tomas, really enjoys dancing. Tomas’ guidance and directives directly in line with how he learns. When something wasn’t working, he always figured it out for us until we both felt comfortable. The dance went off without a hitch and we couldn’t have been happier. We loved coming to concierge ballroom and were always so happy to see both Tomas and Colleen, and they could always turn around a stressful day! We love you guys! ����� well worth It and we were happy to have little mandatory ‘dates’ leading up to the wedding.

Our dancing lessons with her quickly became the best part of our weeks. They broke up the stress and monotony of life and wedding planning, and it was so fun to practice at home. Colleen is fun, comfortable, professional, and so talented. She got to know us and our comfort levels and worked with us until we were happy and comfortable with the moves. She and Tomas are both super fun to just hang out with, too - every lesson was a happy one, full of laughter! We got a ton of positive comments about our first dance at the wedding; people said we seemed really happy and comfortable - not counting our moves or looking down at our feet - success!
