Words cannot quite describe how wonderfully special Mark and Marie are. To start, we had the most incredible tasting. Their positive energies and delicious cakes and pastries sold us immediately. There was absolutely zero doubt that they were going to deliver a beautiful wedding cake with lots of love put into it. And then the cake was even more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Stunning. We had three different flavors and each one was spectacular. Truly, don’t think twice. I am someone who has a hard time making decisions, and this was the easiest and best one one we made. Mark and Marie are fantastic to work with - and artists at their finest. My husband and I got engaged in a lighthouse and found a venue with a lighthouse, so naturally we had to have a cake looking like a lighthouse! Mark worked with us on the design and helped us determine the flavors (with French macarons!) To say the cake was a showpiece AND delicious would be an understatement. Our desserts were AMAZING!

The artwork that is involved in the sugar flowers is unimaginable. My cake was absolutely stunning!! I highly reccommend for the wedding cake of dreams!

Mark & Marie are the absolute best!! Their desserts are delicious and they worked with us as a total team throughout the whole process to make sure our cake looked exactly how we had dreamed of it looking. I'm still in shock that the sugar flowers were not real flowers!! But, most importantly for us, they made everything safe for my now husband who has deadly food allergies -- safe desserts for him are something he/bakeries can never be sure about, but this was the first wedding cake he (and our other guests with allergies) could safely eat and enjoy! This was by far the part of our reception that he was most excited about and we are counting down the days until we defrost the top for our one year anniversary. The Confectionery Designs team was a dream to work with on our wedding cake! All of their cakes were delicious (our tasting was a highlight!), and the lemon and red velvet that we landed upon were huge hits at our wedding. Beyond her baking, Marie was truly such a joy to work with. I became aware of Confectionery Designs from a wedding I attended last year. The assorted mini pastries were absolutely beautiful and to my surprise tasted as good as they looked. I quickly booked them for my daughter’s wedding. Marie was very easy to work with. She responded to emails immediately, gave great suggestions and was very professional. We choose the mini donuts, seasonal cheesecake, seasonal fruit pie, chocolate Pot de Crème, lemon meringue tartlets, tiramisu, and French macaroons. They were all as delicious as I had remembered! Marie’s guidance on quantity was spot on and they made a gorgeous presentation. I recommend Confectionery Designs highly!

We had 2 different flavors for our cake which were done in different tiers, 5 different types of desserts, and little blueberry tarts for our favors. We hired Confectionary Designs (Mark and Marie) to do the cake and all of the desserts for our wedding at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island. Mark and Marie are consummate professionals and every single thing they made for us that day was truly exquisite. The cake was everything we dreamt about, but more importantly, the flavors were insanely delicious. It wasn't just a good-looking cake. In addition to the cake, Mark and Marie at Confectionary Designs also made an assortment of truly special fall desserts and even followed a few family recipes for an added custom touch. It is absolutely impossible not to love Marie and Marks incredible desserts. We received an impeccable dessert room filled with the most delicious bites!!! They even let us choose a meaningful dessert to create from my moms home country of Peru. Now for the wedding cake…. Wow. Just wow. No words could expressive how incredible every aspect of this cake. It’s common that sometime you get a beautiful cake that doesn’t taste very good at weddings or vice versa but our wedding cake was definitely the best of both worlds. Mark created a wedding cake exactly to my specifications which was truly impressive. We had asked for a cake that took into account Chinese cultural elements and he was even able to pull off a stunning painted tier very much in the style of Chinese paintings. The cake itself was incredibly tasty and tailored in flavor to what we wanted, and used fairly creative combinations of flavors. Also, I’ve never seen such realistic sugar flowers in my life; it seems like magic to me how they do it. Marie was very easy to work with and incredibly flexible and inviting in our communications. Overall, highly recommend.

Marie and Mark were truly some of our favorite vendors to work with during our wedding process. We came in for our tasting and were given so many choices that we literally had to take things home in doggy bags (we were not complaining). After countless email exchanges that they responded to impressively fast, Marie and Mark helped us design and perfectly execute the cake of our dreams for our wedding day, as well as a multitude of smaller desserts that were all crowd pleasers. On top of being very talented, this is a small, family run business that truly cares about its clients and wants to see their products shine at weddings. Could not recommend them enough. We wish we lived closer to their baker so we could enjoy their donuts on a regular basis, they are truly the best donuts we have ever had (and many of our guests wedding guests agree!) It was such a joy to work with Confectionery Designs, and we will be customers for life.

If you want the most delicious AND most beautiful wedding cake ever, you need to work with Confectionary Designs. We had so much fun at our cake tasting and planning our cake design with Marc was so much fun. He designed the cake based on my wedding dress and built it around the gorgeous ceramic Monique Lhuillier cake topper I bought before we even started thinking about our cake designs. We also came up with our own cake flavor and it was absolutely delicious. Marie was so lovely to work with. Not only was our cake amazing but all of the desserts at our cake table were. I'm so glad our wedding planner saved a box for us to take back with us so we could enjoy our treats! All of our guests raved about the cake. Blush was one of our wedding colors were blush and I had the sweetest surprise when we cut into our cake and the layer of raspberry filing was a pretty pink!

I’m going to be totally honest here: I had never been to a wedding where I’ve said, “WOW, that was super delicious wedding cake and dessert!” I want to emphasize the *had* because it all changed with my own wedding cake and the extraordinary work—both in design and in deliciousness—from Mark & Marie. My wedding planner was insistent we go with Confectionery Designs. She kept telling me: “They’re the best of the best and you want the best. Trust me on this one.” So we moved forward with hiring Confectionery without having tried any of their food. Their stunning designs and deep creativity—all researched through IG—were enough to sell me. At the least, I knew our cake would be so beautiful. But holy moly, I had no idea that it would be one of our best wedding decisions ever. Mark and Marie are truly the most delightful humans on the planet. They lead with kindness, openness. We wanted a design that was…complex…to say the least. We had a cake covered in hundreds—likely thousands—of sugar hydrangea leaves. On top of that, the cake had secret love notes from my husband and me in it, which we quietly read to each other at the wedding. Mark and Marie jumped on board the plan and gave it their all. It was a cake unlike anything we had ever seen before. It was a masterpiece! It was what my mother was most excited to see at the whole wedding. So after seeing it, here I thought, okay, well it’s beyond gorgeous. That’s the best gift ever! Who cares what it tastes like?! Then the first guest went into our dessert room, with sugar cookies, mini donuts, macarons, cheesecakes, key lime pies and beyond. She ran up to me with a plate full of sweets and told me it was the best dessert of her life. Then a second guest came up to me. Then a third, a fourth, a fifth. All were rave reviews. People were asking our wonderful caterers to bring them to-go boxes, so that they could eat their dessert the next day. I literally saw my grandfather leave with a cup full of canolis. Never had I ever heard of anyone loving wedding dessert so much. It was such an unexpected and pure joy! Then, I ate some leftover cake the next day and my mind was blown. I totally understood. It was the best cake I’ve ever eaten in my life. How could something so gorgeous just also be so delicious? Well that’s because of Mark & Marie. They can do anything. They are extraordinary and worth every single penny. Although I’m from out of state—and even out of country—I know I will be back to get more of their desserts. My planner was right: They are the best in every way.

My husband and I used Confectionery Designs for our wedding at Castle Hill on July 10th and it was one of the best decisions we made. First, Marie did a dessert tasting with us and was so accommodating and made sure that we had everything we loved while also pleasing our guests. Unfortunately my daughter’s wedding had to be canceled because of Covid. Marie had agreed to refund our deposit in case of a cancellation as long as we gave her ample time to book another wedding. We canceled the wedding 11 months prior to the wedding date because of health concerns and in order to be fair to the vendors . All the vendors were honorable and refunded our money except for two. One was Marie. Maybe she does a great job with her product, but unfortunately she does not stand behind her word and lacks integrity.

This vendor is very informative and wants to perfect your vision of the cake you dream of. Vendor is extremely timely in communication to you and really wants to create something special for your special occasion. Highly recommend!

This team was awesome!! Genuinely warm and creative people who are absolute masters of what they do. They helped us design custom flavors for the cake filling, and were super detail-oriented about every aspect of the event.
