I loved my wedding cake. As a vegan, I wanted a vegan wedding cake but my family did not. I planned on doing only the top tier vegan, but we did a blind taste test where my family tried vegan and regular cake without knowing which was which. They preferred the vegan! It was moist and tasted delicious! Thank you for making a cake that all my friends and family could enjoy. :)

I just gotta say, my husband and I highly recommend Alison over at Confectionism for any baking needs you have! She beautifully constructed our dream wedding cake: a 1920’s-themed, glamorous, delicious, gluten free masterpiece. Our experience began with a fun survey about our favorite flavors, drinks and desserts to get insights into our tastes and preferences. When we arrived at our tasting session, we were absolutely blown away by the thought and care that went into preparing for us. Through her joyous and enthusiastic attitude, Alison walked us through a vast array of cake samples, toppings, and fillings – all of which were uniquely inspired by our survey answers! The final “prohibition cake” was beyond what we could have imagined on our own. We had shopped around at other specialty bakeries, but no one came close to Alison’s creativity, professionalism, or fun! To wrap up our incredible experience with Confectionism, we recently received our 1-year anniversary mini-cake (delivered by hand to our house!) and got to re-live a taste of our wedding! SO GOOD! Can’t wait to order more treats!

The cake tasting from Alison at Confectionism was beyond amazing! She took each “like” that we sent and found a way to incorporate it into a cake, frosting or filling! The idea of some seemed weird: UNTIL you took a bite (or 12)! There was bacon, beer, daiquiris, Oreo, peanut butter and so much more! I wish I thought to take pictures that day, because it was incredible! We obviously chose Confectionism to make our cake. Alison used flowers I made to add to the cake and never tried to up-sell. She helped make sure we didn’t over/under order and was super helpful when it came to shapes, tiers, colors and flavors. She was on time, and the cake was amazing!! We’ve received multiple compliments on how delicious it was! It was so great, that I ordered a duplicate (smaller) cake for my husband’s birthday just 2 months later. We recently celebrated our 1yr anniversary, which Alison makes you a new cake – she wants you to enjoy fresh cake for your anniversary- not a stale frozen one. We sent her a few ideas for flavors and let her work her magic. What a great decision that way!! She delivered us a beautiful Velvet Stout cake with Dulce de Leche and Midnight Ganache filling, with Irish Cream Buttercream frosting. She is just a pleasure and the food and tremendous!

Alison at Confectionism made our wedding cake, and she is a pleasure to work with. She was extremely helpful and patient throughout our whole wedding planning and was very efficient with responding to emails. She was also always available for a call when needed and takes the time to answer your questions, no matter how big or small, without hesitation. One of the most unique things about Alison's services is that she comes to you to hold the cake tasting. I have never seen a bakery that offers this service, but it was so accommodating and helpful to have Alison come to our home for the tasting. She even customized the tasting to our likes/dislikes before she came, which was very helpful and saved time in the long run. Alison made a beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding. It was a 3-tier cake that had such unique flavors -- a deep chocolate cake with a layer of crushed hazelnuts, coffee buttercream filling, and fondant frosting. The best part was that we were able to select any variation of flavors, filling, frosting, etc. that we wanted for the cake. Alison also gave great guidance on flavors and combinations as well. We received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious the cake was -- everyone loved it! In addition to our cake, Alison also made a variety of other delicious desserts for the wedding. These included mini cupcakes and a mango mousse. We also had a special request for rugelach, which Alison made with no problem. Our guests loved all of the desserts, and we received many compliments from people on them. Alison is a wonderful baker, and we definitely give her our highest recommendation for anyone seeking her services.

Cannot say enough about Confectionism. The cake was stunning and exactly as we had envisioned it. Alison went above and beyond to create the perfect cake for our Gatsby era wedding. When there was a last minute problem (and I mean last minute; four days before the event)with the cake topper I ordered, she sprung into action and came up with the perfect solution. Everyone raved about the taste, appearance and presentation. Guests couldn't believe it was gluten-free! Thanks again Alison for your professionalism and unbelievable creativity.

I brought in a picture of something extravagant and wanted to tone it down slightly and add my own twist to it. She handled everything from locating and procuring the flowers to finding the specific type of edible rhinestones I was looking for to "make the cake" I did not have to pay a bunch of different people everything went through them. She was honest and her prices were fair even though I wanted every layer and filling different. She makes you feel like anything is possible and then gives you additional ideas as well. I would go back in a heartbeat. One of my greatest moments at my wedding was seeing that "MY" dream cake had been made a reality down to every last detail and my guest raved about it for weeks. I couldn't have been more impressed.

From the beginning, my fiancé and I knew that Alison was the right fit to make our wedding cake. With so many choices, Alison was able to customize our cake to our specific needs. She listened to our likes, and even expanded our pallets by introducing us to some delicious cakes that were not so traditional. She even got my fiancé to eat a peanut butter cake, for the non-peanut butter lover! Alison was also able to take our vision of the cake and make something wonderful. On the day of the wedding, the cake looked fantastic. Many of our guests were amazed at the beautiful rustic themed cake she was able to pull off, and the delicious flavors within. I must say, I only was able to taste the cake that was shoved in my face, but it was delicious. The best part is, she will be making a completely fresh cake for our first anniversary. We will definitely be using Confectionism again for our cakes and sweet treats!

Alison did a wonderful job! The cake was beautiful and delicious. Everyone at the wedding loved the cake. She accommodated our unique design request. We order from her all the time now. She is so sweet and her cakes are amazing!
