As a mobile studio, Configure Beauty Detroit is happy to take the glamour to you. They offer services for any and all members of the wedding party. During peak wedding season they require a minimum of four clients per booking. However, for the rest of the year, it may be possible to secure their services for one person. You can also book a preview appointment so you’ll know how your hair and makeup will feel and look throughout the duration of your wedding. Everyone at Configure Beauty Detroit has been wonderful to work with for my wedding. Norma made me feel beautiful in my wedding makeup (hard for me to say but she did so well!) and everyone else that had theirs done by her could not stop raving about how happy they were with the look. Dakota did my bridal hair as well as the hair for the full bridal party and everyone’s style came out absolutely stunning. She took her time to ensure everyone was happy with their hair and that every piece was perfectly placed. Laurina was our added makeup artist for the other half of the bridal party and I cannot say enough how sweet and wonderful she was to us all. She did a great job and offered the kindest compliments that made everyone feel so welcome and happy. All three were not just great at their art but such wonderful people as well!

Configure Beauty was incredible! I was planning my wedding out of state and they were incredibly flexible in helping me book a trial. My hair and makeup both at the trial and on the wedding day were absolutely stunning and both lasted the entire evening (despite the 95 degree heat and outdoor ceremony). All of my bridesmaids and mom looked stunning as well, they do a great job listening to each person and giving them exactly the look they're going for. Would recommend them for any bride and bridal party!

Configure beauty is a must hire for your wedding day! From my trial to my wedding day configure was great to work with. We had Norma and Emily on my wedding day, and they made everyone look so beautiful. They were accommodating and listened to what everyone wanted and made it happen! I felt so confident on my wedding day thanks to Norma! They were also fun and friendly which made the getting ready process that much better. Configure Beauty was one of the very first vendors I prioritized booking because my bridal party had a diversity of ethnicities and I was nervous about HMUAs who weren't very experienced. I put a lot of research into finding the right team who was very experienced and Configure Beauty exceeded my expectations! I had Robbin and Shannon as my make up and hair team, and also had Joelia, Lisa, and Emily for my party as well the morning of. Everyone was so professional and warm and we had such a fun and stress-free morning which really set the tone for the day, and of course everyone looked GORGEOUS! My initial trial session with Shannon and Robbin was also super fun and they were both absolutely lovely to work with. Based on my personal experience, I feel like a lot of HMUA teams are just fine and average and do an okay job, but it makes such a difference working with a team that is truly exceptional. An exceptional team listens to what you want and knows how execute on that to augment every person's unique beauty vs. just making everyone look the same. Robbin and her team at Configure Beauty did an outstanding job. We had a party of 7 including MOB and MOG. They were organized and efficient, and made the experience fun. We all felt at our very best, not overdone with too much make-up, and the bride was stunning. Hair including extensions for two in the group, was done just as asked - with photo examples provided. It was elegant. Communication from day one (the trial appointment) all the way to the wedding day was top notch, with an email portal exchange that kept everyone, including the wedding planner, in touch with timelines and expectations. I have nothing but great things to say about Configure Beauty! Everything was easy to set up, reasonably priced, and the stylists do great work. Originally I only needed a makeup artist, but after my hairstylist dropped out 4 months before the wedding, they were able to get me a replacement for me. Our girls did such great work, and all my bridesmaids and the moms looked gorgeous, and all had hair and makeup that suited their natural beauty. My hair was GORGEOUS and I got complements all night :)

I had the most wonderful wedding morning thanks to Dakota and Norma. They are both extremely professional, accommodating, and super talented! There was a wide variety of hair textures in my group and Dakota did such a wonderful job working with each of them. For makeup, I have always been wary of getting my makeup professionally done since some makeup artists are inexperienced with East Asian features, but Norma listened to my worries and understood how to execute a glam look onto my features. I did a trial with both of them and they did a much better job than I had envisioned - and then perfectly achieved exactly what I wanted the day of. I got so many compliments about how my makeup and hair lasted all night. Highly recommend!

Configure Beauty is the absolute BEST! From the very first inquiry they were kind, easy to work with, and responsive. We quickly booked my hair & makeup trial with Shannon & Robbin and had the best time. Leading up to the big day they were available for any and all questions, flexible on start and end times, and also helped me build a schedule for 11 girls to get hair and makeup done. Most importantly, they are INCREDIBLY talented! I (bride) was so, so happy with both my hair and makeup. I truly felt beautiful all day and my hair didn’t fall and the makeup didn’t smudge or cake. MOB & MOG were also so happy with their hair/makeup, as well as all of my bridesmaids, hearing numerous times “omg this is Pinterest worthy.” Torrie and Nico were amazing too. Would 100% recommend them to all my friends & family!

I had an awesome experience with Configure Beauty for my wedding! I had Nico for makeup and Dakota for hair for 5 bridesmaids and myself. They both executed my vision perfectly. Special shoutout to Nico, I have lots of issues with dry skin and being on harsh acne medications. Nico was able to set me up with a moisturizing facemask the morning of the wedding, and my skin seriously never looked better. I was absolutely amazed. For Dakota, she was so quick and efficient, even with adding in hair extensions! She placed my veil once and I never needed to adjust it, even with all the wind. Thank you Nico and Dakota for bringing my dream wedding to life!!!

ortunately we are not able to upload photos here but if we could you would see the pictures from your trial which turned out beautifully. You would also see a couple very unrealistic inspo pictures. It's best to choose inspiration pictures that somewhat match your features and hair so that you are not dissapointed. We always reccommend adding extensions to your hair if it is very thin and not as long as your inspiration photo. It will make a huge difference.

Configure was AMAZING! I loved their online portal for scheduling and payments. The staff was timely in their responses to emails! My hair and makeup for my wedding day was incredible!! i loved my look!! I looked natural yet gorgeous! I received non-stop compliments. I loved that all my bridesmaids also looked natural and gorgeous, and did not look fake. I absolutely love that they use actual makeup and blend as opposed to airbrush (which I hate!) Thank you Norma & Kelsey for helping me look my best on my wedding day! They remembered what was done at the trial & asked if there were tweaks that needed to be made on the day of. Their attention to detail was amazing! My makeup was flawless! Despite some happy tears, my makeup stayed in tact throughout the entire day/night. Norma was so sweet to work with - she really made everyone in my bridal party including my mom feel comfortable & look stunning. Loved my hair too! Kelsey made it look so full & voluminous. Hiring Configure Beauty was a great choice for my wedding day. Brigette (hair) and Lia (makeup) are true artists, and they made everyone feel absolutely beautiful! Brigette especially went above and beyond for us when my mother-in-law wanted to make some changes to her hair post-trial. The key benefit of going with an artist collective like Configure Beauty (over an individual) is their ability to be flexible in case someone is sick, injured, or otherwise out of action. Of course, you never hope for the worst, but this actually happened for our wedding day! We found out our original makeup artist was unable to make it about a week before the event, and Configure Beauty sent Lia in her place. Our original artist kept great notes from our trials, so it was a flawless transition. Something to think about as you book your vendors! Overall, 5 stars and would HIGHLY recommend!

We absolutely loved working with Configure Beauty! Robbin, Shannon and the rest of the team were all incredible! I've been in quite a few weddings and never fully felt myself with wedding makeup, I talked to Robbin about these concerns and she did such an incredible job. I felt confident and was so happy with both my hair and make up. She and Shannon worked with all of my ideas even when I didn't have pictures to show them! We got so many compliments from wedding guests sharing how all of the bridesmaid looked stunning as well. The ones who wanted more makeup got the dramatic beautiful look they were looking for and the ones who wanted a more enhanced natural looked exactly how they wanted. Everyone's hair and make up lasted which was also huge! I highly recommend this team not only were they great at the hair and make up, but they were easy to work with, on time and fun to have with us the morning of!

The work this company does is really, really great. I felt comfortable telling them what I didn't like about my hair or makeup. I had never felt more beautiful. All of my bridesmaids loved their hair and makeup, and I also thought everyone looked amazing. One tip, verify your number of bridesmaids receiving services in the 90 day window. I missed this, and ended up having to pay more than planned since the numbers couldn't be changed after that window.

We had a great experience with Configure Beauty. We had Cheri do 8 people's makeup (plus two bridal makeup trials) and Dakota and Torrie do 12 people's hair. Cheri, Dakota, and Torrie were on-time, prepared, kind, and professional, and kept us calm and on-schedule through the wedding morning! I would highly recommend working with Configure Beauty! I coordinated my wedding-day makeup with Robbin, and Joelia was our makeup artist on the day of our wedding. Robbin was so organized and easy to work with in the coordination of the wedding which I really appreciated. I did a trial before the wedding (photos attached) and 6 of us had our makeup done on my wedding day - Joelia was our makeup artist for both. During my trial, Joelia really listened to what I wanted (natural look, but still a bit of glam), and even took note of all the products she used on me in the trial so she could reference it on our wedding day. My bridesmaids, mom, and mother-in-law were SO happy with their looks. It was the first time that my mom and mother-in-law got their makeup professionally done, and it was really amazing to see how special and beautiful they felt after Joelia did their makeup. I absolutely loved my makeup and felt so beautiful, but also that I looked like myself on my wedding day. I was so so happy with the work of Joelia and Configure Beauty and recommend them highly!

Configure Beauty was on the list of vendors for me to consider by my wedding planner, and I am so happy that I went with them. They were the most prompt in replying with a quote, and I really enjoyed using the portal through their website that kept everyone informed and on the same page when planning. I had my hair and makeup trial 5 days before my wedding, and honestly I would recommend this because it was so easy for Bridgette and Nico to recreate what we had just practiced at the trial. The trial was really fun because their space in Wixom is beautiful and really makes you feel special and excited for your wedding. Both of my beauty pros were easy to work with and fun to be around, not to mention their excellent work from the inspiration I gave them. On the wedding day they were prompt and worked ahead of schedule! I especially appreciated their graciousness when we couldn’t find the flower girls who needed their sparkle and hair done, and when my mom took too long in the shower, they just rolled with it and everyone was eventually done on time and looked absolutely beautiful. At the end of the day, these are people who are with you for a significant part of your wedding day, and will be in some of the photos, I am really happy I got to spend it with Bridgette and Nico. I loved the outcome of my wedding hair and make up. All the hair and make-up was beautifully done and lasted the whole night! I never completed a hair trial and with a couple photos I ended up with a beautiful updo for my wedding. Norma was exceptional doing make-up and she was so kind. Isabel was our hair stylist who worked magic on everyone’s hair and helped place my veil. They both deserve 10+stars. Robbin is your main point of contact and she’s quick to respond, pleasant, and organized. Would use this company over and over.

Configure Beauty was so amazing to work with. My whole bridal party was blown away by their work and everyone felt so beautiful! They were able to accommodate last minute add-ons with no complaints. I definitely recommend their team for your wedding beauty needs!!

Most of the team, including the owner, showed up 20 minutes past the scheduled start time. They still had to set up, and so they put the entire day's schedule behind by 30-40 minutes. It really made the whole morning stressful and my hair & makeup suffered as a consequence. I would not recommend that for any bride- you already have enough to think about.

I used 2 hairstylists and 2 makeup artists to get my 8 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and myself ready the day of my wedding. Everyone was on time and ready to go when needed. They all were so friendly to talk to and did an amazing job with our hair and makeup, without being too slow either! Us girls really enjoyed their company. I loved my bridal hair and makeup so much, that I almost started crying, however they stopped me for the sake of messing up my makeup haha! We could not have asked for better!

Hiring Robbin and Shannon for my wedding day was one of my best decisions! Robbin was amazing at coordinating with me to schedule my hair trial as well as discussing day-of timeline to get myself, mom, MIL, and 9 bridesmaids hair done in time! Her online portal made scheduling, submittings payments, and asking questions so easy! Shannon was absolutely amazing for my trial and day-of! She listened to what I wanted and didn't let me leave the getting ready chair until I was 100% happy and confident! It felt so good knowing that all 11 other women were also very happy with their hair. This team is amazing and extremely talented! I highly recommend hiring them for your day :)

I am very satisfied with this company and their professionalism! Both the makeup and hair artists did a fantastic job on my wedding day! They were on time and very patient with all the last minute changes we asked for. The final hair and makeup looks for myself and my party were absolutely gorgeous!

We hired Robbin and Shannon from Configure Beauty for my wedding to do hair and makeup. All of us on the day of just kept talking about how much we loved our hair and makeup and how smooth of a morning it was. They were both so calm and sweet and joyful, it made the day way less stressful. Robbin was quick to communicate along the wedding planning journey, and was so helpful and responsive to feedback after my trial to make sure I got the look I wanted for my wedding day. And she and Shannon did just that! Seriously, they created the most glamorous old Hollywood vintage look I was going for which is a lot of work to pull off, but they made happen! They were so perfect at achieving what everyone wanted in a timely manner. All of our hair and makeup remained in tact for the entire wedding which is amazing considering how much we were dancing later on. I can’t thank both of them enough for spending the day with us! I would highly recommend Configure Beauty Detroit for any hair/makeup needs for events. They are truly amazing at what they do, and we are so thankful!

I definitely recommend CBD! It was so convenient that they were able to come to our hotel suite for hair and makeup. Robbin was very responsive and professional over emails. I do want to mention that Torrie (our hair stylist) was absolutely AMAZING!! Not only did she do a great job with everyone's hair - she stayed until her job and all touch ups were completely finished... not to mention she's super sweet and was cracking jokes with us! My MOH is STILL talking about how obsessed she was with her hair! Thank you so much for everything!

When I was booking hair and makeup for my wedding, I was looking for a company that had a glam/gorgeous, but natural makeup style. Nothing too dramatic and I didn't want caked on makeup. Additionally, I wanted soft hair. Too many times I've had my hair done where it was stiff and uncomfortable. Configure did not disappoint! To start, Robbin was very responsive answering all of my questions and offering resources and additional information to help make my decisions. I went in for my trial at a location in metro Detroit. They were very welcoming and had a comfortable area to sit and wait my turn. The girls I worked with, Dakota and Norma, did an incredible job both for the trial and the day of. Honestly, as time went on, our hair and makeup settled and looked better and better! These ladies were great to work with and made everyone's inspiration pictures come to life. I would definitely recommend this group of ladies to anyone looking to get hair or makeup done for any occasion!
