Connection Photography

100 stars if I could!! Connection Photography is simply the best and worth every single penny. My husband and I knew that photography would be a very high priority for us, and the second we looked at Connection's Instagram page/spoke with them over video chat, there was no question that we wanted to work with them. Not only are their pictures INCREDIBLE (I'm very hard on myself and tend to hate pictures, but I finally found myself feeling beautiful through their lens), but they are both fantastic people. Since they are a couple themselves, they make you feel very comfortable being romantic and intimate with your partner, but also help to bring out your goofy and silly side as well. I truly could not recommend them enough, but I think their pictures do the talking as well :)

Joe and Andrea are PROFESSIONAL, FUN and KIND! They're the "southern bell and gentlemen" type but they got that "New York City grit" thing going on and I love it! I knew it from the moment I saw their work from a previous wedding at the Liberty House Restaurant, that I wanted them capturing Mike's and my special day. The use of light, the contrast, the crispness of each photo were second to none, and most importantly, they catch every detail and every moment with such ease! My only requirement for a photographer's style was that they caught the candid shots, and Joe and Andrea did that PERFECTLY! They're also not just great photographers, they are also GENUINE people who are with you throughout your entire wedding day journey. Ladies be warned: things go wrong throughout the day! When two of my buttons popped off, Andrea came to aid! When some wedding party members were late, they made use of the time by taking other family portraits instead. When the sun was starting to set, they sought us out throughout the sea of guests in the cocktail room to bring us outside for some impromptu photos! It's a bonus that they make you laugh and that they make you feel comfortable too! Thanks so much for everything you did for us that day! When Mike and I have children, we're going to call on you two for some more photos! xoxo

Connection Photography was the best wedding decision we made! Andrea and Joe contributed kindness, skill, and generosity to our wedding day that you simply can’t put a price tag on. They were masterful at making everyone involved in our wedding day feel comfortable and look natural in front of the camera. As a queer couple, choosing our vendors was challenging because the wedding industry is not always built for LGBTQ+ folks. But Andrea and Joe were incredible in this way. They were inclusive in their language and never made staging choices for photos based on assumptions or unconscious biases. Andrea and Joe are artists and storytellers who LOVE what they do. They are deeply creative risk-takers who go the extra mile to get the coolest, most unique photos they possibly can. They’ll do almost anything to make sure the lighting is perfect and aren’t afraid to push boundaries. (They shuffled my wife and I in and out of New York City traffic during our engagement shoot to get the effect of the taxis passing behind us…it was worth it.) But as much as Andrea and Joe push boundaries, they also deeply respect them. They are strong communicators and are receptive to kind, direct communication in return. When my wife and I didn’t want to stand in the rain for a photo or wanted to get back out on the dance floor, Andrea and Joe were understanding and always prioritized what we needed. If you are looking for photographers who can take great pictures, I’m sure there are hundreds of options to choose from. If you are looking for photographers who can fix a stuck zipper, rub a last-minute stain out of your dress, and manage your family dynamics all while capturing the essence of your love story through stunning photos and video, Connection Photography is the only choice. Any couple would be lucky to work with them!

I can’t put into words how incredible Andrea and Joe were to work with for our wedding. My (now) husband and I knew we were a little camera shy, so we wanted photographers that would be able to bring out our personality and capture our love. Upon our first phone call, we knew they would be able to do just that. We loved that they’re a husband/wife team and are both extremely talented. Their photography style is so beautiful, and they were able to capture both classic and fun/unique photos. We booked them for our engagement shoot and full-day package with video. They were SO amazing the whole wedding day, keeping us on schedule and helping us to have fun along the way. We got SO many compliments from our family and bridal party. Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, can’t recommend enough!
