Emily is an honest, authentic, and reliable wedding vendor. I cannot say enough about Emily at Connolly House Events!!! She works with the most attention to detail, amazing taste, professionalism, and resourcefulness of anyone I know. I am a pretty picky, type-A gal, and handing over the control of my wedding day to somebody else is no easy task. Emily was an absolute dream to work with, and I truly feel we would not have been able to pull it off without her! Through all of the Covid craziness and having to move our wedding to a new location (and state!!) Emily was always able to keep us calm and truly put on the wedding of our dreams. One of the things I loved about working with Emily was that she was totally willing and supportive of us ditching some of the more “traditional” wedding elements that we weren’t interested in (cake cutting, garter/bouquet toss, etc.) She helped us focus on the things that were important to us rather than keeping traditions just because we were supposed to.

Emily is a gem. She went beyond the call of duty to make our covid out of town wedding a success. The bride and groom live in Chicago and POB live in Texas. We relied on Emily for just about everything. She met the tent people on site at our rental house, picked up the flowers, cake, set the tables with the linens and pulled some beautiful flowers from the garden to decorate the linens, and managed the vendors. Honestly, there are so many things that she seamlessly managed. We had total confidence in Emily. She is calm and unflappable... a real treasure. You would be lucky to have her by your side.

Emily helped us navigate through doing our own backyard COVID-safe wedding— and we could not have done it all without her! Her versatility and knowledge made the process much less stressful and gave us confidence that it would go off without problems— and it turned out wonderful!

We had an out-of-state, neither of us locals, backyard wedding that we planned in three months. While we were daunted by this task at the beginning, Emily Salomon made our wedding so special. No stone was left unturned thanks to this woman! She worked with us to modify her full package to fit the scale and the nature of our wedding. From the first consultation we had (even before hiring her), her creativity and passion were clear. These character traits carried us through all the way to the wedding. Emily loves what she does and this translates into how meaningful she helps make this experience for the couples she works with. From the big things (moving location of the ceremony the afternoon of the wedding) to the little things (finding beautiful local flowers from the yard to adorn place settings for the rehearsal dinner), she put us first in beautiful ways. In addition, Emily has an air of calm that makes her a dream for anyone stressed about wedding planning to have on their team. Her passion for styling helped us turn a VRBO into a beautiful wedding venue with the support of thoughtful local vendors who brought our vision into reality (and within budget). In addition to all of this, she exemplifies professionalism. She always followed through, arrived on time, and is very organized. We enjoyed working with her immensely and if we had the lucky opportunity to live our wedding again, we would hire her in a heartbeat.

Emily is the only person I will now trust with any big life celebration or event to execute to perfection! Serious! Not only is she intentional, kind, and affirming, but she met all my crazy ideas, overwhelmed moments, and numerous questions with confidence and joy. She kept focus on the true heart for our day, despite the all curveballs of COVID-19. Always making what felt impossible, possible. Not detail left behind. Our vision for wedding day became a reality because of Emily. Throughout the planning process, Emily was a great source of information as she is well connected with vendors in our area. She is experienced in event planning, so no detail, big or small, is forgotten. Her services included coordinating pick up and drop off of any rentals, which saved our family from having to do so, yay! On wedding day, she hustled to place every detail perfectly. Emily was always accessible to listen to our ideas and view photos of what we were dreaming up - she even met up with me to do a mock-up of our centerpieces and decor. Emily is creative, detailed, and excels in creating beautiful environments. Trust her with all your event and wedding day dreams!

Simply put, Emily is amazing! When I first started planning our wedding I knew I was up for planning the wedding myself and thought a day of coordinator would be nice but not needed. As we were getting closer to the wedding day, I realized I had put in so much work and was concerned that I would be worried about all of the details the day of and making sure everything ran smoothly. We reached out to a few day of coordinators and we luckily found Emily! Emily completely went above and beyond! We hired her for the wedding day....but she is so amazing that she also came to our rehearsal the night before to help set up our venue, including carrying many of our DIY projects from the parking lot to the venue floor. On our wedding day she was there from the beginning to the very end (and was not restricted to a certain number of hours). She made sure everything ran smoothly and it was a huge relief having her there, especially when we were already worried with our wedding occurring during the pandemic. At the end of the night she also helped us tear down and pack up the cars. I was very much a bride that thought I could handle it all myself...but I am so happy that we hired Emily and never regretted that decision! We can’t thank Emily enough for everything she helped with and all of her hard work! Thank you so much Emily!!!

Emily was absolutely amazing to work with throughout our whole wedding process. When changing our plans multiple times due to Covid, Emily was supportive and helpful with any decision we made. We decided to change our 250 person wedding to a 35 person wedding in a backyard within a month of our date. Even with it being so small, we could not of done it without her. She made the day absolutely perfect. Emily decorated the backyard beautifully, handled all of our vendors, picked up/took care of anything we needed, and most importantly I believe she genuinely cared for all of us. Because of her, I was a calm cool and collected bride! I can't thank Emily enough for making our wedding day perfect! It wasn't our "Plan A", but because of Emily we couldn't be happier with how our wedding turned out. I hired Emily nearly a year before my wedding and she went above and beyond to ensure that my wedding day was perfect! She has wonderful advice and recommendations at each step of the way throughout the wedding planning process. Emily was fantastic! She stepped in about a week before the wedding and started to take care of all vendor interactions. From there on out, I basically didn't have to think about anything related to the wedding planning! Everything went very smoothly! Emily is exactly who I needed. She worked as planner-extraordinaire, visionary, dream-maker, emotional counselor, family-manager, and friend. Not only did Emily make our dream day come to life, she also played an integral role throughout the entire process. Emily is a DREAM. She was absolutely unbelievable. From the minute we booked her until the reception was shutting down she was my go to girl. From decor to timeline to the little details in between she couldn’t have been more helpful. She made me feel 100% confident in the wedding we were planning from 700 miles away. She met with vendors for us, picked up rental items, she even stopped at Hobby Lobby and saved the day with a placecard mishap on the day of the wedding! She helped us choose some of the most amazing vendors and made communication with them so easy and stress free. Day of we couldn’t have asked for someone better. She made sure our vision came to life and we had no worries during set up and her main focus was just for us to enjoy the day. She tweaked things here and there to make them as beautiful as they could possibly be. She has amazing ideas and does a wonderful job of bringing them to life. Our guests even mentioned how awesome she was! Her passion and professionalism really shows. We could write a book on how amazing Emily was on our special day. We can honestly say it wouldn’t have been the same without her. This woman loves her work and it shows in everything she does!

The one thing a bride wants and works so hard for is to be able to have everything go off without any issues and just sit back and enjoy their wedding day with friends, family, and the love of her life. Emily made it possible for me to be able to do just that. She met with my husband (can't believe I can finally say that, eek) and me well before our wedding. I had expressed to her that I wasn't sure if a full wedding planner is something I'd need as I was not that great at letting go of control. She was very understanding and reassured me she would be as involved or un-involved in every aspect as I wanted. After deciding to book her for full planning I realized my doubts on needing the extra help came true. She was so gracious and understanding when I asked if we could switch our services from full planning to just day of coordinating. Over the next few months she was still available if I had any questions and we met one month before our big day to go over all of the details. She was there to reach out to vendors, help with the day of itinerary, pick up favors for us the day before our wedding, as well as extra decorations we had that she came to my house to get before our rehearsal dinner. Although I am not usually one to be able to delegate or let someone else take the reigns, I was fully comfortable giving her control of letting my vision come true for our wedding day. Emily did not disappoint. She worked with our vendors to make sure everything went off without a single glitch. From helping to set up our center pieces to using extra decorations to create beautiful areas of our reception that I could have only dreamed of, to keeping our events on time, she nailed it all. At the end of the night she assisted with tear down and loaded families vehicles while also offering her own car to help with transporting everything. When our caterers forgot the linens at the end of the night she even reached out to them for us on Monday to have them come pick them up and messaged me when it was all taken care of. If you're considering a day of coordinator for your wedding then don't look any further. Emily is your girl! I cannot say enough good things about her. Our parents even complimented what a great job she did and how smooth everything went. We are forever grateful!

Emily made our wedding day flow easily and took the lead in every potentially stressful situation to ensure our day went as smoothly as possible. She communicated excellently with all members of our family and any friends that were helping set up our day! Emily reached out to the vendors in advance to make sure they had all the information they needed and provided them with any details that they were missing. She even went as far as running to the grocery store during the reception to get more lemonade for the bar! We couldn't recomend Emily to enough people!! Emily is a capable delegator and her set up/ tear down process is amazingly efficient. Couples on their wedding day should only be worried about one thing, their marriage! Emily ensure that that is the case!

We used Emily as our day-of planner, and she was phenomenal! While I tried to be as organized as possible and tried to plan every last detail, the best decision I made was to hire Emily. Although she was technically only a "day-of planner," she made herself available for the entire weekend and was willing to answer any question I had in the months leading up to the event. The day before the wedding we walked through everything together. By doing this, the day of the wedding was flawless (or at least I thought it was). Any issue that arose Emily handled 100% on her own. She made the day go so smoothly! All I can say is that everyone should have an Emily for their wedding.

Emily is a wedding planning fairy godmother, saint, angel, unicorn, etc. Emily seriously is the best!!!! I could go on and on singing her praises. I hired her as my full blown wedding planner. She helped me with literally everything. She made the dauntless tasks of wedding planning so much easier by sending me a short list of vendors based on my budget. She also had great recommendations for some vendors as well. She made herself available for multiple in person meetings wherever we needed to meet her. She was amazing in times of panic, like the week of my wedding, calming me and coming up with multiple contingency plans to ease my mind. On the day of my wedding, she was on top of everything which allowed me to enjoy the day knowing she had everything under control. All of my family and friends were even raving about how awesome Emily was! My husband and I agree that hiring Emily was THE best money we spent for our wedding. Do not even hesitate to hire this wonderful person! You will not regret it!

I hired Emily for my day-of coordinator because she was affordable, friendly, and had a lot of knowledge about Holland. (I live in Detroit and was getting married on the other side of the state.) Leading up to the wedding, Emily was really helpful. I asked her for a lot Holland-based recommendations, and she was quick to respond with multiple options that she was familiar with / that other brides had used, which I really appreciated. We had a few hiccups on the wedding day, but nothing that threw the day off course. Emily also did a lot of tasks for us throughout the wedding day, which were super appreciated. I wish her all the best and thank her for her service!

We had an incredibly positive experience working with Emily at Connolly House Events. From the beginning, she was a true professional, always offering her time and assistance and her demeanor is very calming and assuring, which has been so helpful in planning a large wedding! Her advice throughout was spot on and she was able to meet for a few hours the week of the wedding to go over everything. On the day of, all was handled by her from beginning to end and it allowed us to enjoy our day without the hassles of running it smoothly. Emily is organized and has a great eye for style, so I knew I could trust her in making the venue even more gorgeous with our own decor. Working with Emily was one of the best things we did for our wedding. She took the stress and anxiety off me as the bride so I could simple focus on enjoy the day. She has a very calm demeanor, which is so important leading up to the big event. On my wedding day, we weren't able to get the event center until 4 so I could not have any input into set up of the reception center. When I walked into the room it was more beautiful then I could have ever imagined thanks to Emily's good eye and direction to the vendors. Emily was one of the greatest decisions I made for our wedding! I planned most of our wedding myself, but as it got closer to the day, I realized that I just didn't have it in me to figure everything out for the day of, and then I found Emily. She was truly a lifesaver, and really helped the day go incredibly smoothly! From setting everything up for the reception, ensuring that the bridal parties had everything they needed, working with a local bar for our after party by ordering food and ensuring everything was ready, and getting everything packed in our car at the end of the night, she truly made the day better! I'd 100% recommend a day of coordinator, and I'd 1000% recommend Emily for that job!

You could not find a better coordinator for your big day! She is so organized and has such a fine attention to detail. I have seen her work so diligently not only in my own wedding (which of course I am biased to) but I have also been able to attend other weddings that she has helped coordinate and it was just as seamless and beautiful as my special day. Emily did an amazing job as the day of coordinator for my wedding!! She was very professional, organized, and efficient. I cannot imagine the stress of staying on top of all the last minute details the day of without her. She set up all of our centerpieces and decorations for the reception and took care of any "emergencies" so I didn't have to be bothered with any of it. She was prepared for everything!! She even picked up our cake the day of, and truly made it stress free. She was very reasonably priced and worth every single penny.
