We hired Consonance Music for our wedding on 08/22/2021 and Vasiliy at Consonance Music was a pleasure to work with! He was very professional, had great communication (was always on top of the wedding music planning), and incredibly talented! He knew just what to suggest in terms of music and would give his honest opinion if asked. Guests commented to me that they were very impressed with our string trio and loved the songs that were played during both the church wedding ceremony and the wedding reception. Highly recommend!

Vasiliy and his team could not have possibly been any more accommodating. For our June 5th wedding, we had a quartet booked leading up to our special day. But last minute, the month before the date the quartet hit us with a bunch of hidden travel fees, making it twice as expensive. Now just before the wedding, we are on the hunt for a new Quartet and Vasiliy came to save the day. They were able to learn all our songs in that short time, and even allowed us to add one or two more than usual for special circumstances. I could not help but tip them at the end of the day, they were all extremely professional and amazing sounding - totally worth it. Book Vasiliy and you won't be disappointed!

We hired Consonance to play at our Wedding earlier this month and we are so happy we did! Vasiliy was so pleasant to communicate with and was very clear And took his time to give me the rundown of things over the phone. We had the strings Trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour and the music they played just made our wedding even more special and beautiful . We strongly recommend the string quartet from Consonance Music. Vasiliy and the string quartet performed the ceremony music for our wedding. Leading up the the event, they were very organized and always promptly replied to our questions or concerns. They supplied a helpful form for us to provide our music selections (for pre-ceremony, processional, etc.). They have a large repertoire including many classical and contemporary string arrangements, and even prepared a custom arrangement ("Melissa" by the Allman Brothers Band) for our ceremony. Their pricing was fair and their musicianship was excellent. We received many compliments on the music at the wedding. With the cost of planning a wedding, we were unsure that we could include live music in our budget. But looking back, it was one of the best choices we made and can honestly say it TRANSFORMED our ceremony. They were perfect; book them ASAP.

I had several options all around the same price, all with great reviews - but I could tell that Vasiliy was the most passionate and well organized. From filling out a form he performed every single wedding song perfectly. All requests for the band break song lists were played. The dance floor was moving all night and I did not provide any instruction on specific songs. Nothing I write can paint the picture of how well this group was. Vasiliy went above and beyond for our wedding day. If there were songs we were interested in hearing, that meant the world to us but weren't part of their selection, then they took the time out to learn it and have it ready for our day. Any questions we had, whether big or small, they addressed in a timely manner. Saying no was never an option for them. Consonance is an A++++ group in all aspects. Having them perform made our day so much more special. The songs sounded spectacular, which was such a relief since I had never heard them before. You can truly book in confidence. We booked for our wedding ceremony music for 7/8/17 and we could not be happier! All of our guests were “ WOWED” by the beautiful sound of the guitarist. I cannot say enough about Consonance Music Esembles! I'm a publicist in NYC and originally hired them as a string trio for an event for one of my global beauty brands. Everyone was so impressed with their talent and professionalism, I knew I had to have them play at our wedding!! They are incredible. We hired them for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. The groomsmen walked in to the Game of Thrones theme song and our guests went wild. They played the most beautiful renditions of Somewhere Over the Rainbow for my bridesmaids, and Can't Help Falling In Love for my entrance. Guests couldn't stop raving about them!! Aside from the talent, Vasiliy was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend for any event!!

Consonance was the extra touch to my cocktail hour that I was looking for. I had a guitar/violin combo and they were absolutely great! They arrived on time and played beautifully the entire hour. Their pricing was a lot better than other places I had researched, too. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

These people are amazing. I hired them to play on my mom's birthday. They come over to my house, discuss every single song they were going o play, suggested some. They showed up before I expected them to. Did a great job. Very inexpensive. 100% recommend.

Consonance Music provided a string quartet for our ceremony and pre-ceremony music. Choosing the ceremony music was actually the hardest decision that my husband and I made for our wedding. My husband is a classical music composer and was worried that any live music we hired wouldn’t be good enough, since we were planning our wedding from out of state and had to rely on recordings on the internet to make our decision. Finally, just a little over a month before the wedding, I told my husband that it was important to me to have live musicians and created a request for bids on Gigmasters.com. We listened to samples of the three bids we received, and Consonance Music was the best. They were also very reasonably priced! We decided to hire them and are so happy with the decision. Our guests complimented them and even my husband thought they were good. The bridal processional (Che gelida manina) nearly had people in tears. My only regret is that I didn’t get to hear any of the pre-ceremony music because we were taking photos in another location.

Vasiliy and his team did did such a wonderful job at our ceremony in Cold Spring Harbor NY on May 20, 2017. They played beautiful music that we and all of our guests enjoyed. Vasiliy took so much time to communicate with me before the ceremony over a period of several months. He patiently replied to many, many emails that I anxiously wrote him to make sure all would be perfect for our ceremony. I always heard back from him the same day if not right away. He worked with me to customize an event that would fit our budget and this is why I picked his company over others I was considering. Before the ceremony he kindly called me to go over all the details. We ended up needing another portable PA system for our officiant and Vasiliy saved the day by supplying that for us. He and his team arrived early to set everything up and all went smoothly. It was a pleasure working with Consonance Music Ensembles and I would definitely hire them again. My only regret is that we could only hire a string duet for our small wedding ceremony and not more musicians!!! I look forward to having a bigger event to hire a quartet. You can't go with these guys so hire them today and sit back and enjoy their beautiful music.

We had Bat Mitsvah for our daughter. Consonance Music Ensembles provided us with excellent service. Very caring, professional and superb execution. We were relaxing all evening. Ensemble serves made sure that we get exactly what we wanted. My daughter chose all the songs, everything was mixed and delivered the way we wanted. Thank you for unforgettable everning!

Consonance Music was a great addition to our engagement party! We had a violinist and guitarist playing some light music and it was exactly what we wanted. Vasiliy treated us very well and was extremely accommodating. We were really happy to have them as it made the party even more special -- it was just the right touch!

These guys were absolutely fantastic, and Vasiliy was incredibly accommodating. The quartet was a surprise for my marriage proposal and they had to enter the banquet room, sit down and immediately begin playing. Which they executed flawlessly (after sneaking into the restaurant through the kitchen and warming up in another room). They played for two hours straight with no breaks, and never missed a note. They played the classics, show tunes and even dance music (Cheap Thrills by Sia was amazing) all in time with the mood of the party. I can't imagine how they could have done a better job. I wish we could do it all over again. We need more events, haha.

We hired Consonance21 to play in our wedding ceremony in NJ this past October and our violinist did an incredible job. It really added a nice touch to our church ceremony. There is not enough stars in the galaxy to rate my experience with the consonance team. I was tasked to get the string quartet and I had no idea what to look for. I called a few vendors but Consonance gave me a good vibe. The price was competitive and in hindsight it was worth every penny. Vasilily made everything so seamless. He really helped to put my mind at ease in such a hectic week time by giving me answers to the questions I didn't know to ask. When I had a question I would email or call and he would respond promptly. They turned up on time to play/perform at the ceremony and reception. I believe most couple will say their wedding was the beautiful and the best but ours truly was. We owe a wealth of thanks to Consonance who set the tone for a really elegant and classy affair. One of the memories of the special day that stayed with me it the richness of the sound as I opened the door to enter the ceremony. And this was outdoors!!! The sound quality was great and everyone enjoyed the selections during cocktail hour. Vasiliy is truly a gem, very easy to work with and provided great advice for our song selections for our special day. William was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was extremely responsive and eager to accommodate all of our requests. He was diligent and followed up regularly to ensure we were in sync in terms of music selection and order of performance. We were equally happy with William and Alex's performances. They were timely, presented professionally and played great. We received many a complement from our guests. We highly recommend William and his team and would gladly use them again, and again.

There are plenty of good string quartets in the NYC area. There is ONE Consonance Music. What Vasiliy was able to put together for my wedding was nothing short of magic. We had another quartet scheduled to play but 2 weeks before the wedding they had to cancel on us. My fiancee and I proceeded to freak out but luckily we were put in contact with Vasiliy and the good folks at Consonance Music. Seeing as how the music was the one aspect of the wedding where I had free range, Iet’s just say I took full advantage (ahem…Groomzilla). Coming from a music background myself I knew exactly what I wanted played and how I wanted it played, to the exact measure. Some of the pieces were already in Consonance’s huge repertoire, however many were not. In these cases they would either seek out the sheet music or create an arrangement themselves. I never heard a ‘no’ or ‘I don’t think we can do that’. I requested everything from Hello by Adele to Viva La Vida to A Ribbon in the Sky to As Time Goes By to Canon in D. They even played Classic Man along with the DJ as I walked down the aisle. A week before I’m pretty sure they had never even heard the song. And to say my guests enjoyed the music is the understatement of the year. They played with emotion, song after song, perpetually outdoing themselves taking the audience on a journey before the wedding even began. After the ceremony the first thing a close friend said was “I can’t believe they played A Whole New World. That was the best thing ever… until they played the Game of Thrones Theme. And I’m not gonna lie, that Force Theme from Star Wars made me shed a tear… oh yeah and Congratulations!” Consonance Music was nothing short of amazing. In hindsight, it’s absurd what they were able to do. They stepped in at the last minute, in an impossible situation and completely knocked it out of the park. I’ll never be able to thank Vasiliy and the rest of the quartet enough. If you’re looking for the best… do yourself a favor and book these guys ASAP. I literally have zero complaints and this review doesn’t begin to do them proper justice. Bravo and thank you once again for saving/making my wedding ceremony. -Lucas

Vasiliy and Consonance Music absolutely made my ceremony. I had a catholic ceremony with a flute, viola, cello, and soloist, and I can remember waiting at the back of the church and absolutely melting when I heard the first notes being played. Not only were the musicians clearly experienced professionals, but I was so impressed by how seamlessly they were able to follow the Catholic mass (which was a mix of Korean and English) to play exactly where they were supposed to, without even having to rehearse with the priest once! They showed up on the wedding day early, played the most beautiful music, and Vasiliy was an absolute delight to work with, and very patient while I was choosing the ceremony music last minute. You won't regret hiring Consonance!

I had a great experience with Consonance for an event (though it wasn't a wedding). I hired an ensemble to play music for a surprise birthday celebration and Vasiliy and Alexey were wonderful. We worked on a playlist far in advance and they were very accommodating in terms of what music could be played. During the event itself, they were friendly and personable and made a point to ensure things went as planned. Lovely experience!

The quartet that was sent by Consonance was great - very professional musicians that were able to accomodate our needs. In our case - we had specific requests for non-classical music that were readily accomodated/adapted after sending online links to recordings of the music. The music performed was highly appreciated by our wedding guests. Overall - great experience and highly recommended.

Although we ultimately did not move forward with this vendor due to a friend of ours agreeing to play at our wedding, I just wanted to write that this vendor is very good at responding to all inquiries, and has affordable pricing options for whatever combinations of music instruments you might be looking for. It was a pleasure exchanging emails with them.

My experience with Consonance Music was nothing short of perfect. We booked them very short notice for the ceremony music, and gave them a long complicated list of many difference musical interests and preferences. For walking down the isle, we requested an Israeli pop song which didn't have any notes for a quartet available anywhere, so Vasiliy and his musicians wrote a quartet adaptation themselves and the way they played it was SO MOVING! Better than we could have ever imagined (and we are both musicians!) We told them we don't really want a typical song for the end of the ceremony, but that we couldn't think of anything better than something like a mashup of celebratory jewish songs (lame!). Vasiliy understood me completely, and totally surprised us with a string quartet rendition of GET LUCKY by Daft Punk!!! We were absolutely overjoyed at how PERFECT their choice was for us, and it was completely stress free. Vasiliy's ability to intuit what the bride and groom really want, even when they can't figure it out for themselves is IMPECCABLE. Not to mention, the musicians were philharmonic quality professionals. All in all, it was completely professional and MAGICAL experience - They came through with TASTE and CLASS, and we are so grateful!
