Coming from Catholic backgrounds, it was important to me and my husband that we had elements of Catholicism in our ceremony without being "overly religious" and Rev. Bill executed it perfectly! Jewish traditions for our interfaith marriage. We wanted a religious ceremony, bringing our two faiths together and wanted to get married at our reception venue, rather than a church. We so appreciate how our ceremony was handled, as Fr. Bill was heartfelt and caring, with a touch of humor. He worked with us before our wedding both individually and as a couple. We completed his questionnaire, and he took the time to get to know us beforehand. He also helped us create a personalized ceremony which worked so well for us. It was definitely a good exercise for us. The day of the wedding, Fr. Bill was early and tried to calm our nerves and reminded us that this will be a beautiful day for the both of us to remember for the rest of our lives. During the ceremony, he was appropriately funny and very sincere. He also gave us a little gift: a silver fork that was engraved with our names and wedding date. All of our guests raved at how amazing he was. My mom who is a traditional Catholic (and who was also quite disappointed when she first learned we don’t want to get married in the Church) was extremely happy with Fr. Bill. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that doesn’t want a Church wedding but still wants to have some Catholic tradition in their ceremony.
