Due to the recent pandemic, we had to move our wedding from July to September. Contemporary DJ's refuses to be reasonable, and they refuse to acknowledge our new wedding date. They...
do not offer refunds, and they are downright rude and unprofessional. They suggested that we move our date to a particular time that fits their schedule. (Ha! What a joke. Their suggestion included a Tuesday or Thursday.) They are the only vendor that has given us a hard time for moving our date, only because of the pandemic. Absolutely terrible. DO NOT BOOK THEM.
During our current pandemic, we need businesses to work with us, not profit from our misfortune of having to reschedule a very special day for two families. Especially when the con...
tract that they put out states, that is what they would do. That is not the case of Contemporary DJ's. They have been anything but accommodating. They are clearly out for the benefit of themselves. I would not recommend using this company, THEY REFUSE TO GIVE A REFUND. They have been the only difficult vendor to work with as the kids scramble to reschedule their entire event.
During a pandemic, this company fails to show any consideration for events that needed to be moved due to statewide restrictions. After having to move a wedding, they can not make ...
the new date and REFUSED TO GIVE A REFUND. Rob and Leslie recommended picking a date for the wedding that would work better for them. That is an absolute selfish request considering they are not the ones getting married. I strongly recommend not using Contemporary DJ's.
This company is failing to honor the epidemic clause in their contract due to the Coronavirus. We had to go through the hassel of moving our wedding date only due to the virus and ...
this DJ cannot make the new date and they refuse to refund our deposit even though the contract says we are owed it.
Rob and Leslie have been extremely rude to us in this process as well, even suggesting to the point we should move our wedding again just to accommodate them, even if that means having it on a Tuesday instead of a Saturday. It does not matter what the venue has available or what works for our family. They are completely selfish and greedy in their interests and do not really want you to have a good wedding day.
It is astounding how unprofessional they have been. I have had to pursue legal support against them just to make them follow through on the epidemic clause of the contract.
Additionally as I have been looking up more details on the business for this, I have found they are not registered as a corporation or LLC/LP in California. For the amount of business they do, a sole proprietorship would be stupid, but is possible. The other possibility is the business is operating illegally.
I strongly recommend not using Contemporary DJ's.
If you want a memorable wedding that you will be talking about forever, BOOK Contemporary DJ’s. I could go on and on about how my husband and I are so thankful to have met Rob(DJ) ...
and Leslie(office manager) at our venues open house. The level of professionalism and communication is out of this world. We knew w/in a few minutes of chatting with Rob at the open house that we’d be in good hands. Rob(DJ) and Travis(MC) definitely made it happen. They knew just what we wanted and they delivered!!
We also had with our package photobooth and lighting which was just beautiful.
We highly recommend contemporary DJ’s. You will not be disappointed.
Thank you all again for making our day a fun and memorable one that we will talk about forever! 💜

much fun dancing! When we met Rob and Kirk at Philz coffee we knew that we could trust them to help everyone have a good time and help the day go smoothly and they definitely followed through! Leslie was also great with answering our questions and help us plan from out of state! They were also very reasonably priced for the AMAZING job they did! They were the best and we are so glad we chose them!
They are worth every penny, the party was fantastic. The dj worked with our music choices and kept the dancing going until we got kicked out! The lighting was perfect. They kept u...

Linda and I just got married on 8/4/16 at Vizcaya in Sacramento.
We hired Contemporary DJ's for our music, photo booth and lighting.

music and everything set. It was such a pleasure working with all of them at the wedding. They kept everything alive. We had around 50-60 dancers at the wedding, plus the rest of our guests, everyone was going at it on the dance floor and really enjoying themselves.
Our first dance as a married couple worked great too.
Everything was perfect, it was a pleasure working with Contemporary DJ's and Linda and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their professional services.
Thank you again

This DJ company was easy to plan with as they have an online planning center that helps you organize song requests, wedding day timelines, and anything else the DJ may assist with ...
