Hello, I’m Tessa — founder and lead artist of Contessa Aesthetics. I’m a licensed cosmetologist, hairstylist, and makeup artist specializing in modern, romantic bridal beauty throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. My background spans salon artistry, skincare, makeup, weddings, editorial shoots, and film. I trained in cosmetology at Paul Mitchell, continued my professional development in an Aveda salon, and spent three years with Juice Beauty working throughout the Bay Area — an experience that deepened my love of beautiful skin and thoughtful, personalized makeup. Today, I bring that experience together at Contessa Aesthetics, where bridal beauty is about more than choosing a hairstyle and showing someone an inspiration photo. I love helping brides create a complete beauty direction that considers their features, hair, gown, accessories, personal style, and the way they want to feel on their wedding day. My signature is polished, modern-romantic beauty: luminous skin, soft dimension, beautiful hair, and looks that still feel unmistakably like you. Kelsey has over 16 years of experience as a professional makeup artist. Her training began in Los Angeles at Award Studio in media, film and photography. She then worked for MAC Cosmetics for four years and advanced from an artist to being certified in Application, Lesson, Advanced Application I and II, and was a Tier 2 Impact Team member, serving the Bay Area of CA. Kelsey has always recognized the importance of working with all complexions, genders and identities and now specializes in niche wedding makeup. While she is not working on a wedding, she serves her community at a mental health non-profit. She also enjoys tending to her garden and has a cat named Luna.
