Regarding rescheduling your lessons, our records show: You purchased an intro program on July 24, 2017, for your Sept. 24, 2017 wedding. Between July 24 and Sept. 2, the first class you actually attended, you cancelled and rescheduled 3 appointments. One cancellation was at the time your appointment was to begin, while your instructor was at the studio waiting for you, and another time was an hour before the appointment. You cancelled three hours worth of lessons when you had only paid for 1.5 hours. When you called for the fourth time to schedule your first lesson, that was when I stated, “I hesitate to book another appointment because you’ve already cancelled three times.” I explained that teachers get paid for the lessons they are scheduled to teach, as the time is reserved for the specific student(s). So, Fernando was paid for the three cancelled lessons out of my pocket. I regret that you perceived this conversation as me “yelling” at you because I was only expressing concern for the three cancellations. We understand that emergencies come up, but with so many cancellations you can understand my concern. Your review stated that, “rescheduling is unheard of,” to me. Yet, we did reschedule your appointment 4 times. Nevertheless, I honored all three lessons that you had yet to take. Two were taken on September 2, and then another one-hour was scheduled for Sun, September 10. Again, you cancelled 30 minutes prior to the lesson. This was the fourth cancellation, and the fourth time I paid Fernando for lessons that were not taken. Your final lesson was on Tues, September 19, where you even brought your father for an enjoyable time. It certainly was not my intention to cause you additional stress. Working with so many wedding couples, I understand better than anyone that weddings can be stressful, especially when you are trying to learn a dance in such a short amount of time. I work hard making this time as pleasurable as I can for our students, so much so that I have earned the nickname of the “BMW,” Blonde Miracle Worker. I consistently go above and beyond by delivering exceptional service and custom fit routines that our students love. Not many people can teach someone to play golf or tennis in two weeks, but I can and do make stars on the dance floor. Continental Dance Club has been in business over 55 years, and there is no doubt that our professionalism has played an integral role in our success. In that light, since you and your father had such an enjoyable lesson with me, I would like to invite you, your fiancé, and your father to return for a complementary lesson.
