Nubia exceeds all your expectations! She brought all my dreams for our bridal shower and wedding to life and was amazing to work with. Her designs are beautiful and really captured...
the vibe we were looking for. Couldn't recommend her enough for all your floral decor needs!
Nubia was a life-saver. A week and a half before the ceremony the florist we were working with (Nosegay - DO NOT go there!) stopped returning calls and emails leaving us with no f...
lowers. I called Nubia and she immediately called me back. Within a few hours I had a proposal with prices for exactly what we wanted. She was willing to help on short notice and delivered spectacular flowers for the special day. She came to the venue to set up the table arrangement and it was absolutely stunning. I can't say enough good things about Nubia, she is terrific.
We chose Nubia and Convention Floral because we were looking to support a woman-owned business in our neighborhood and we were really happy with our choice. Nubia had great ideas ...
about flower choices and helped make our all-white flower palette pop. She also helped us choose flowers that were in season which helps keep costs down. There was a lot variety in the arrangements, despite the fact that all the flowers were white. Overall, we thought Convention Floral was a really a good value and were very happy with our wedding flowers.
A bride whose wedding I helped coordinate used Conventional Floral. The bouquets were nice, though the ribbon used to tie the stems of the bouquets was of poor quality. The centerp...
ieces were brought to the venue already full of water, which made it difficult and Nubia brought no one to help so my team had to carry in boxes ourselves. Some of the flowers were already wilted and some of the candles in the centerpieces were melted and used already (which three people noticed.) The cake was supposed to have big, ivory roses and all it had were small spray roses with lots of green stem showing. And the ceremony flowers were wrong as well. I asked for a a small refund for the bride who was over charged for the cake flowers (spray roses versus larger roses) but so far, no offer of an apology or any resolution. Overall, okay value but not a place that gets the details right and certainly not a place I'd ever use again.
Nubia was great to work with. She sat with us and asked questions to understand what our vision was. She produced beautiful arrangements for the church and reception. Her prices...
are reasonable and she is good at communicating quickly by email. Thank you Nubia!
After going to an appointment with another florist, I was pleased to come across Nubia & Convention Floral. In order to stick to my budget at the previous florist I would have ...
been given very small, 4"x4", vases with a basic bouquet of roses. Considering the 10 person tables at the reception venue, those centerpieces would have been swallowed up on the table.
Meeting with Nubia showed me that I could have show-stopping centerpieces with a median budget. We ended up with centerpieces that stood 3+ feet tall at some tables with various design elements such as LED lights, hanging votives, and several different flowers and accent pieces. Everything was beautiful and we were well pleased.
I highly recommend everyone, with any budget, seek out Nubia's creative ideas for your wedding ceremony & reception.

le price wise. Thank you Convention Floral.
Nubia at Convention Floral exceeded our expectation. We met at here beutifull shop and showed her what we needed from a magazine. It was so simple doing business with her she asked...
all the right questions. We booked her on the first day the consultation took only 30 minutes and we did not meet her after that only through email to go over the final details. Then we received the most beutifull fresh flowers for our ceremony in our room delivered by her personally!!! and the centerpieces were beyond expectation. Stop reading and book her now as she makes everything personally with diligent work. Thank you so much will definetly recommend my friends and family to do their weddings with you and to look no further.
Nubia is the without a doubt the most talented florist in the DC area. According to other florists in the area, my (now husband) & I were told that we were “too late” when we w...
ere looking for someone who could do our wedding bouquets, boutonnières and centerpieces. Okay, we started looking a few months before the Big Day, not the weekend prior. I was getting frantic as flowers play a major part in a wedding and my budget was, well, on a budget. In hindsight, I am so grateful I was advised to go to check out local florists. When I came across Nubia’s information, I was nervous to call her as I had become so turned off by the process at that point. Nubia was QUICK to reply and we had our meeting and agreement in place less than a week later. Nubia LISTENS. (I know, shocking.) She actually listened to my thoughts, ideas, and budget. She was so patient even as I started rambling about what I thought made sense in my head, but I couldn’t quite verbalize what I wanted. It’s like she saw a projection of the look I was going for in perfect clarity through my broken descriptions. Unlike everything else that’s perfectly micromanaged, flowers are something most brides do not see until the minute everything starts happening. There’s no going back. I don’t freely admit this, but I am somewhat picky and like things a certain way. When I saw the bouquets and flowers, I gasped. It was all just stunning. Perfection. I had so many compliments throughout the night and overheard countless people admiring her work. I was leafing through a cheapy magazine in the airport en route to my honeymoon & when I came across a spread about celebrity weddings I thought to myself, ‘my flowers & centerpieces were so much better. Oh, and at a fraction of the price.’ Smug? Absolutely. You won’t find me apologizing anytime soon for being that happy with the outcome. Well done, Nubia!
My flowers exceded my expectation! It was exactly what I wanted my wedding to look like. The centerpieces were magnificent. Thank you Convention Floral.
I knew I was in good hands when I had my first meeting at Convention Florals. I was listened to and when I named a flower I like it was taken and it was formed into a beautiful cre...
